Many of us watch what we eat but not what we drink when on a diet. Choosing the right drinks can tweak your metabolism, curb your appetite, and help cut calories. Which drinks are spoilers and which are helpers on the path to weight loss?

Soda:
Every time you chug a bottle of soda, you get hundreds of empty calories. Some studies show a short-term benefit. Others find diet soda drinkers gain weight. If you eat or drink more calories than you burn, just switching to diet soda may not do the trick.

Fruit juice:
Juice can have as many calories as soda, but it has more nutrients. This presents a dilemma: you want the vitamins and antioxidants without all the extra sugar. Look for 100% fruit juice. Steer clear of juice drinks that have added sweeteners. Check the nutrition label for the percentage of real juice.

Vegetable juice:
Vegetable juice is as nutritious as fruit juice, with about half the calories but a lot more sodium. One cup of tomato juice has 41 calories, compared to 122 calories for orange juice. Choosing juice with pulp provides some fiber, too, which may help control hunger.

Smoothies:
Blend a banana, strawberries, and blueberries into a frothy smoothie, and you've got a delicious drink. Make your own, so you can control the ingredients: skim milk (or an alternative, like almond milk) and fresh or frozen fruit are all you need. Restaurant smoothies may include ice cream, honey, or other sweeteners that boost the calorie count sky-high.

Energy drinks:
Most sports and energy drinks are calorie bombs like soda. They may have more added nutrients, but you can find the same vitamins and minerals in low-calorie foods. When you're working on weight loss, stay hydrated with water rather than sports drinks, unless you need the extra nutrients because you're exercising hard and sweating a lot.

Black coffee:
When you need a shot of caffeine, coffee is a better choice than soda or energy drinks. Black coffee is calorie-free and rich in antioxidants, improve mood and concentration, and may also lower the risk of type 2 diabetes and some types of cancer.

Green tea:
Green tea is an excellent choice when you're looking for a little boost. Not only is it calorie-free -- some research suggests green tea extract may stimulate weight loss. It's not clear exactly how that works, but caffeine and micronutrients called catechins may each play a role. The benefit appears to last only a few hours, so it may help to drink green tea at least twice a day.

Low-fat milk:
Eating calcium-rich foods may do a body good, and it may help you lose weight. Some research shows that drinking higher amounts of milk or eating other dairy foods can help with weight loss. For the best all-around benefits, stick to skim or low-fat.

Helper water:
Replacing carbonated soft drinks with water will cut hundreds of calories per day. Drinking two glasses of water before a meal may also help you feel full faster, so you don't eat as much. And drinking enough water may have a positive effect on your metabolism.

Vitamin b12 is a critical nutrient that helps your body make healthy red blood cells. If you have a chronic lack of b12, your body can't make a number of red blood cells that it needs, which can lead to anemia.

Animal products like meat, poultry, and seafood and dairy foods like milk, eggs, yogurt, and cheese are the best sources of vitamin b12. Honey, vegetables, and fruits are not really sources of vitamin b12, which is why people who follow a vegan diet may not get enough of it. If you're a vegan, think about eating a breakfast cereal fortified with b12. You can also take a b12 supplement, which is recommended for pregnant and nursing mothers who are vegans or even strict vegetarians.

Since most b12 in our diets comes from animal products, vegans are at risk for b12 deficiency. Crohn's and celiac disease, weight loss surgery, and chronic alcoholism can all interfere with a person's ability to absorb enough of the nutrients they need. Seniors have more problems with nutrient absorption and malnutrition as well.

Some diabetes, antibiotics, seizure, antacids, drugs can interfere with your body's ability to break down vitamin b12 from food.

Caffeine की मात्रा कम करे। प्रतिदिन 200 mg से अधिक caffeine लेने पर गर्भपात और कम वजन वाले शिशु के जन्म लेने का खतरा बढ़ जाता है।
गर्भवती महिलाओ को गर्म मसालेदार चींजे नहीं खाना चाहिए।
Anaemia से बचने के लिए अखण्ड अनाज से बने पदार्थ, अंकुरित दलहन, हरे पत्तेवाली साग भाज़ी, ग़ुड़, तिल आदि लोहतत्व से भरपूर खाद्यपदार्थों का सेवन करना चाहिए।
सम्पूर्ण गर्भावस्था के दौरान गर्भवती महिला का वजन 10 से 12 किलो बढ़ना चाहिए।  
गर्भवती महिला को उपवास नहीं करना चाहिए।
गर्भवती महिला को मीठा खाने की इच्छा हो तो उन्हें अंजीर खाना चाहिए। इसमें प्रचुर मात्रा में Calcium है और इससे कब्ज भी दूर होता हैं।
Vegetable सूप और जूस लेना चाहिए। भोजन के दौरान इनका सेवन करे। बाजार में मिलने वाले रेडीमेड सूप व् जूस का उपयोग न करे।
गर्भवती महिला को fast foods, ज्यादा तला हुआ खाना, ज्यादा तिखा और मसालेदार खाने से परहेज करना चाहिए।
अपने डॉकटर कि सलाह अनुसार Vitamin और Iron कि गोलिया नियमित समय पर लेना चाहिए।

First of all I would like to thank you for explaining me healthy food habit. I met you in the month of October 14 for the first time for weight reduction. You explained me that healthy diet & maintenance of body mass index is more important than weight reduction. You assessed me overall.
 Than you advise me your diet plan which was very suitable & comfortable for me. At the same time you are taking care of that I can follow that diet. You told that if I would not be able to follow I should call you. So you can give me option. You planned my diet in such a way that I got all necessary nutrients required for my body. So even though I reduced my body weights my skin shine. Within 4 months I had loss 6 kg weight.
 Since last 2 months I am on maintenance plan. I learned so many things like which food when to eat. At the same time you told to walk for 30 min in a day is necessary. So you are the motivational factor for the same.

TIPS FOR REGULAR WEIGHT LOSE:

Increase the quantity of fruits and vegetables and low calorie foods.

Avoid intake of too much salt as it may be a factor for increasing body weight.

Milk products like cheese, butter etc. And non-vegetarian foods should be avoided as they are rich in fat.

Mint is very beneficial in losing weight. A chutney of green mint with some simple spices can be taken with meals. Mint tea also helps.

Spices like dry ginger, cinnamon, black pepper etc. Are good for loosing weight and can be used in a number of ways.

Regular intake of carrot juice.

Avoid rice and potato, which contain a lot of carbohydrates.

Among cereals wheat is good.

Vegetables like bitter gourd (Karela), and bitter variety of drumstick are useful in loosing weight.

Honey is an excellent home remedy for obesity. It mobilizes the extra deposited fat in the body allowing it to be utilized as energy for normal functions.
