Why Saying 'No' Is Important For A Healthy Life?

'No' appears to be a very simple and straightforward word. However, it can be shockingly hard to say. People most of the time agree to things that they really do not want. Since they would preferably feel overburdened and low rather than disappoint somebody, saying "no" feels easier to maintain connections with people.

The repercussions of this absence of disagreement is critical. By overcommitting ourselves, we are actually consuming the majority of our positive energy and using it somewhere where you might not want to. This takes away from our common character and quality. It leaves us tired and we meet each day like it is simply one more battle. We also give up our own requirements for space, stillness, relaxation and imagination and are bound to our state.

To stay away from this, we must know about our own necessities and priorities for both mental and physical well-being and joy. For this, one may have to know when saying "yes" will fulfill your requirement for rest, relaxation or self-awareness. When one does this, their unfounded dread of not being socially acceptable from saying "no" will go away gradually.

Here are three reasons why saying "no" can prove to be beneficial:

  1. You will have additional time: The extra time made by saying "no" will, at any rate, prevent that forced clock from ticking. It will make you feel like you are in control. This can truly lighten up your mood and lift your anxiety and bolster your health. Rather than saying yes to going out for lunch or a party that you feel obligated to go to, but might not want to, simply try to say no. You will automatically feel happier when you are sitting at home, relaxing rather than forcefully socialising.
  2. You will be less remorseful: At first, you may be reluctant to state "no" because of a paranoid fear of passing up a major opportunity or the fear of missing out. As a general rule, nonetheless, in case that you need to state "no," odds are you have much better explanations for you not being there. If you do go for it, you might regret it afterwards thinking that you could have done something better with your time rather than having completely wasted it.
  3. Your associates will respect you for it: No one wants that they should be taken for granted. However, in case that you continue saying "yes" to each demand or opportunity, that is precisely how individuals will come to see you. The more you say "yes," the more individuals will generally expect things of you. This could prompt to a drop in your status and position and loss of control over others.

Everyone has different lifestyle and body. There is no fit for all diet chart. You need customized diet plan along with proper workout schedule. Mean while few tips for you are- start eating small frequent meals and don't skip any meals specially breakfast. Include whole grains and use atta with bran take high fibre diet which include lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Drink atleast 10-12 glasses of water. Avoid drinking calories in form of juices and carbonated drinks. Avoid eating junk food, fried food and maida products. Try to eat home made food as much as possible. Move yourself use stairs, walk to near by places instead of using any vehicle include at least 45-60 minutes workout in your routine. Take sound sleep of at least 7-8 hours. Quit smoking and drinking if any manage stress keep positive frame toward life appreciate yourself as it is not going to happen overnight. Consult me online for better results.

Hello It's not possible to gain or loose 10 kg in a month .Try changing your lifestyle and check if you are having enough nutrients and including food items from all food group .you can try high calorie or calorie dense and protein rich healthy food options like milk based products peanuts jaggery dry fruits sprouts dals along with balanced meal. Slowly you will start gaining weight through muscle mass. Hope this helps.

Hello, You need to increase your daily food intake to gain weight in a healthy way. Try to eat something healthy after every 2 hours. Besides a healthy breakfast, add an extra chapati and rice to your lunch and dinner. Add sweet dish after meals. Hello, Eat a high-protein breakfast. Eating a high-protein breakfast has been shown to reduce cravings and calorie intake throughout the day. Avoid sugary drinks and fruit juice. These are the most fattening things you can put into your body, and avoiding them can help you lose weight. Drink water a half hour before meals. One study showed that drinking water a half hour before meals increased weight loss by 44% over 3 months. Choose weight loss-friendly food. Eat small and frequent meals and avoid fried foods on daily basis.

अजमोद के फायदे की पहचान और इसकी सबसे पहली खेती भूमध्यसागरीय एवं उत्तर अफ़्रीकी क्षेत्रों में की गई थी. इसका वैज्ञानिक नाम एपियम ग्रोवेलोंस है. सब्जी के रूप में खाया जाने वाला अजमोद अब विश्वस्तर पर उगाया जाता है. अजमोद में पोटेशियम, मैग्नीशियम, सोडियम, कैल्शियम, ताम्बा, लोहा, जस्ता आदि खनिज पाए जाते हैं. विटामिन में फैटी एसिड, विटामिन ए, बी-6, बी-12, सी, डी, ई, और विटामिन के पाया जाता है. आइये अजमोद के फायदों से रूबरू होते हैं.

1. ह्रदय रोग और सीने के जलन
अजमोद की जड़ में विटामिन सी, फाइबर और कई ऐसे जैविक रसायन पाए जाते हैं जो आपके दिल को स्वस्थ रखने में मदद करते हैं.
2. अल्सर में
अजमोद में फ्लेवेनोइड प्रचुर मात्रा में पाया जाता है. जो कि अल्सर के लिए जिम्मेदार बैक्टीरिया एच-पाईलोरी के विकास को रोकता है. इसके अलावा ये अन्न्प्रणाली की दीवारों को नुकसान पहुँचाने में मदद करता है.
2. माइग्रेन में
माइग्रेन की उपचार में भी अजमोद लाभकारी है. इसमें मौजूद कुमेरिन माइग्रेन से राहत प्रदान करती है. ये आपको माइग्रेन के अलावा तेज सिदर्द से भी राहत दे सकती है.
3. गठिया में
गठिया पीड़ितों के लिए भी अजमोद काफी फायदेमंद साबित होता है. दरअसल अजमोद में सूजन को कम करने वाला गुण होता है. यह मुत्रवर्धक के रूप में भी काम करता है. इससे यूरिक एसिड क्रिस्टल निकल जाता है और जोड़ों के दर्द की सम्भावना में कमी आती है.

इसमें पाया जाने वाला फाइबर कब्ज का बेहतरीन इलाज है. यह आँतों में कार्य को भी आरामदायक बनाती है. इसमें मौजूद प्राकृतिक फाइबर की प्रचुरता इसे पाचनतंत्र को दुरुस्त करने में महत्वपूर्ण बनता है.
5. उच्च रक्तचाप में
अजमोद में मौजूद पैथालाइड नाम का कार्बनिक यौगिक रक्त में तनाव हारमोन का स्तर कम करता है. इससे रक्त में दबाव कम होता है और रक्तचाप कम हो जाता है. इसके अलावा ये सम्पूर्ण कार्डियोवस्कुलर प्रणाली पर दबाव कम करता है एथेरोस्केलेरोसिस के विकास को रोककर दिल के दौरे की सम्भावना या स्ट्रोक से बचाता है.
6. पिम्पल्स के उपचार में
अजमोद में मौजूद तमाम तरह के विटामिन्स और खनिज आपके चेहरे के मुंहासे और पिम्पल्स को ख़त्म करते हैं. ये त्वचा की गन्दगी को दूर करता है ताकि चेहरे से पिम्पल्स हटाया जा सके.
7. प्रतिरक्षा प्रणाली में
अजमोद में विटामिन सी की प्रचुरता होती है. इसमें मौजूद एंटीऑक्सीडेंट इसकी क्षमता को और बढाता है. इसके परिणामस्वरूप आपके प्रतिरक्षातंत्र में जबरदस्त मजबूती आती है. आप कई अनावश्यक रोगों से बच जाते हैं.
8. शुक्राणु सुधार के लिए
अजमोद की सब्जी के नियमित सेवन से आप यौन समस्याओं से भी निजात पा सकते हैं. इसमें पाए जाने वाले तत्व आपकी उत्तेजना बढाते हैं. इसकी खुराक आपके शुक्राणुओं की संख्या में भी वृद्धि कर सकती है.
9. अस्थमा और कैंसर में
अजमोद पैथालाइड और फ्लोवोनाइड्स से भी भरपूर होता है. ये कैंसर से मुकाबला करने वाले कार्सिनोजेन को डिटोक्सीफाई करता है. इसके अलावा इसमें एंटीऑक्सीडेंट का गुण भी होता है. ये सब कैंसर से लड़ने में मददगार साबित होते हैं.
इसमें अस्थमा से भी लड़ने वाले गुण पाए जाते हैं. ये इसमें पाए जाने वाले एंटी-इनफ्लेमेटरी गुण के कारण होता है.
10. आँखों के लिए
आँखों के लिए इसमें मौजूद विटामिन ए महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाता है. आपको बता दें कि विटामिन ए आँख के एक बड़े हिस्से का निर्माण करता है.
11. कोलेस्ट्राल कम करने में
अजमोद का नियमित सेवन आर्टरी क्लागिंग कोलेस्ट्राल को कम कर सकता है. दरअसल इसमें मौजूद पैथालाइड पित्त में से रस के स्त्राव को उत्तेजित करता है जिसकी सहायता से कोलेस्ट्राल का स्तर कम होता है.
12. वजन कम करने में
अजमोद आपका वजन भी कम कर सकती है. अजमोद के रस का नियमित सेवन आपको अपना वजन कम करने में सहायक है. दरअसल ये पेट भरने की प्रवृत्ति को कम करता है जिससे कि आदमी खाना कम खाता है.

उत्तर ओर पूर्वी भारत के पहाड़ियों पर पाए जाने वाले लोध्र के फायदे बहुत महत्वपूर्ण हैं. इसका वानस्पतिक नाम सिंप्लोकास सेसिमोसा है. अंडे की तरह गोल पत्ते वाले लोध्र के फूल सफ़ेद रंग के ओर खुशबू से भरे होते हैं. इसका फल गोलाकार में चिकनाई लिए हुए बैंगनी या काले रंग का होता है. इसकी भूरे रंग की छाल औषधीय गुणों से भरपूर होती है. मुख्य रूप से दस्त, आंखो से संबंधी समस्याओं ओर ब्लीडिंग डिसऑर्डर में प्रयुक्त लोध्र के और भी कई फायदे और कुछ सीमित नुकसान भी हैं.

1. दांतों को स्वस्थ रखने में
दांतों को स्वस्थ रखने के लिए लोध्र के छाल का काढ़ा बनाकर उससे गरारा करें. ऐसा करने से मसूढ़ों से खून आना और उसमें ढीलापन ख़त्म होगा. इसके अलावा आप लोध्र के पत्तों का काढ़ा बनाकर कुल्ला करने से भी दांतों की तमाम परेशानियों से छुटकारा मिलता है.
2. तवचा की देखभाल के लिए
त्वचा के देखभाल में भी लोध्र महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाता है. त्वचा की समस्याओं के लिए लोध्र, करंजा, इन्द्राव, जति और धातकी का पेस्ट कुष्ठ रोग में काफी लाभ पहुंचाता है. लोध्र का इस्तेमाल हर्बल फेसवाश के रूप में भी किया जा सकता है.
3. ब्लीडिंग डिसऑर्डर में
ब्लीडिंग डिसऑर्डर के उपचार में लोध्र को काफी उपयोगी माना गया है. इसमें फायदे के लिए 50 से 60 मिली की खुराक ठंडा जलसेक या काढ़े के रूप में देना चाहिए. लोध्र पाउडर का बाहरी रूप में इस्तेमाल करने पर ये रक्त प्रवाह को रोकने के रूप में काम करता है.
4. पीसीओएस के उपचार में
लोध्र के तमाम फायदों में एक ये भी है कि इसका प्रयोग योनी संक्रमण के उपचार में भी किया जाता है. लोध्र और तुम्बी के पत्तों का पेस्ट बनाकर योनी पर लगाने से योनी संक्रमण में राहत मिलती है. पीरियड्स के दौरान ज्यादा ब्लीडिंग होने पर लोध्र की छाल और मिश्री की एक समान मात्रा का पाउडर बनाकर दिन में 3 बार एक चम्मच कुछ दिनों तक लें. पीरियड्स के लिए 10 ग्राम खांड और लोध्र को एक साथ पीसकर 2-2 ग्राम सुबह शाम पानी के साथ लेने से पीसीओएस में बहुत लाभ मिलता है.
5. घावों को भरने में
घावों को भरने में इसका इस्तेमाल कर सकते हैं. धातकी और लोध्र का मिश्रण लगाएं. आप चाहें तो लोध्र, त्रिफला, निग्रोधा कली, घृत और खादिरा को मिलाकर पेस्ट बनाएं. इस पेस्ट को लगाने से घाव ठीक होता है जल्दी भरने लगता है.
6. आँखों के उपचार में
आँखें हमारे शरीर का नाजुक अंग हैं. इनके देखभाल के लिए भी लोध्र का इस्तेमाल किया जाता है. आँखों के सूजन या लाली में लोध्र का लेप आँखों के पलकों पर करें. आँखों में दर्द और पानी निकलने में भी इसका इस्तेमाल कर सकते हैं. नेत्रश्लेष्मलाशोथ के इलाज में भी इसके छाल का पेस्ट पलकों पर लगाते हैं.
7. मुंहासों का सफाया करने में
मुंहासे कई लोगों के चेहरे का स्वरूप खराब कर देते हैं. इन मुंहासों को ख़त्म करने के लिए लोध्र की छाल, बच और धनिया पाउडर को एक समान मात्रा में मिलाकर पानी के साथ पीसकर पेस्ट बनाएं. इस पेस्ट को सुबह शाम चहरे पर लगाएं. ऐसा करने से आपके चेहरे में निखार तो आएगा ही किल-मुंहासे भी ख़त्म होंगे.

लोध्र के नुकसान

  • जब भी लोध्र का काढ़ा बनाएं तो इसका इस्तेमाल तुरंत नहीं करें. कुछ देर तक रखने के बाद ही इसका उपयोग करें.
  • चूँकि ये स्त्री रोगों की एक प्रमुख औषधि है इसलिए पुरुष इसका ज्यादा सेवन करेंगे तो उनका हार्मोन कम होगा.
  • लोध्र हार्मोन पर काम करने वाली औषधि है इसलिए इसका इस्तेमाल हमेशा किसी विशेषज्ञ की सलाह से और निर्धारित मात्रा में करें.
  • लोध्र टेस्टोंस्टेरोन का स्तर घटाती है इसलिए इसे खाली पेट नहीं लेना चाहिए.

My FBS is 131 & PPBS is 219 last week. HB1AC is 7.7%, Mean Blood Glucose - 196. 8 mg/dL, BUN - 6.9 mg/dL, Creatinine - 0.9 mg/dL, Uric acid - 5.3 mg/dL, Hb - 12.1%.,I used to do daily 30 minutes exercise. Now I have increased simple exercises like 5 minutes jogging or bicycling, sitting and standing exercise along with 30 minutes walking in morning. Now I am having rice in afternoon, wheat or ragi in morning and evening. I have avoided potatoes, beetroot, carrots rarely I take little bit sweet and tender coconut. From past 2 weeks I am taking Gluconorm G2 (1 in morning & 1 in evening,) cobadex Czs (1 in morning), Vitofocol (1 in Afternoon), Evion LC (1 in evening), D-Bright (once in a week) Rarely I Eat Chicken. Yesterday when I ate Chicken (5-6 small pieces along with sambar) I got little shaking of hands and burning sensation in afternoon. In night around 1.15A.M I was sweating and could not sleep well. Why did this happen? Please give me suggestion? Thank you

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. I have gone through the details given. Based on the details given these are few of my observations: 1) Your diabetes is not in good control. Ideally FBG should be < 100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c% < 6.8. 2) You are having grade 1 obesity with a BMI of 32.12 kgs/M2, your ideal weight should be about 50 kgs. 3) The extent of exercise is too little, including all those things mentioned. 4) We will have to give a very close look at the total dietary intake, as diet has to be based on Ideal body weight, extent of daily exercise and blood glucose levels. 5) There may be a need for additional medication to control blood glucose. 6) Rest of the medications are fine. Lastly the problem described after eating chicken could be due to severe hyperacidity. If there is a problem of acidity, it is better to avoid spicy foods. Plus there may be a need for drugs to control excess acidity. Take high fiber low fat diet. Drink lot of water everyday. Take small and frequent meals at regular intervals of 2-3 hrs. Avoid outside food completely. Ask me privately for customized diet plan for you.

5 Ayurvedic Remedies For Infertility!

Not everyone can conceive a baby easily. The inability to conceive a baby despite having intercourse during the fertile window in a woman’s menstrual cycle for over a year is termed as infertility. Infertility does not affect only the physical health of a woman, but also her mental and emotional well-being as well as the couple’s social health.

In some cases, infertility can be treated with Ayurveda. According to Ayurveda, a couple needs to be both physically and mentally strong and healthy. Ayurveda believes that a lack of nutrition in the shukra dhatu or the person’s reproductive tissue is the cause of infertility. This can be triggered by indigestion, anxiety, depression, insomnia and the presence of toxins in the body. Some of the ways Ayurveda can be used to treat infertility are as follows:

  1. Eat cool foods: Spicy food can affect the quality of shukra dhatu and lower the quality and quantity of both sperm and ovum. This is because shukra dhatu requires a cool environment to promote fertility. Hence, eat food that is easy to digest and which has a cooling effect on the body. Men can benefit from foods like asparagus, dates and almonds, while foods like quinoa and pineapples can help a woman conceive easily.
  2. Shirodhara therapy: Shirodhara involves the movement of liquid over the forehead in a rhythmic manner at specific points. This stimulates the hypothalamus, pituitary and pineal glands and aids in the secretion of hormones including follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). When it comes to women, FSH stimulates the ovarian follicles into releasing an egg without which it would be impossible to conceive a child.
  3. Fight stress: One of the effects of stress is reduced libido. Prolonged exposure to stress is often a major factor that contributes to infertility. When it comes to women, stress makes a woman ovulate less regularly. In men, stress can affect the sperm production and affect testosterone levels. To fight stress, try deep breathing exercises like alom vilom or keep a little time aside each morning for a walk or light exercise.
  4. Lodhra: This herb is very beneficial in treating women with infertility. It stimulates FSH and luteinising hormones (LH) and lowers the risk of a miscarriage. It also increases chances of conception. Lodhra should be taken twice a day along with honey and milk.
  5. Lifestyle changes: Ayurveda is not only about herbal medicines but also following the right lifestyle. Bad habits like smoking, drug usage and alcohol not only affect a person’s overall health but also interfere with fertility. Hence, when trying to conceive a child, quit these bad habits and try following a healthier lifestyle that involves following a routine, eating right and exercising regularly.
