There are many reasons for bad breath. Mouth odor, also called halitosis, is a common condition and sometimes a source of embarrassment. Bad breath, also called halitosis, is a common condition and sometimes a distressing source of embarrassment. Frequently, people aren? t even aware there? s a problem. While there are many causes for bad breath, it most commonly results from a lack of good oral hygiene. Daily brushing and flossing and regular dental checkups and cleanings are the best prevention for bad breath. However, when bad breath persists, despite good oral health, there may be other reasons for mouth odor and a consultation with your dentist or physician is necessary. A dry mouth may be the culprit. Good saliva flow cleanses the teeth and tissues, and is essential to keeping the mouth healthy and in balance. A common side effect of many medications is reduced saliva flow, which results in a dry mouth (also called xerostomia) and increased mouth odor. Dry mouth may also be caused by other problems involving the salivary glands or from continuously breathing through the mouth.

Hello, you can apply baking soda or do baking soda in water mouth rinses. This will help to heal ulcers. If it still persists, you need to consult a physician and get your Vitamin B levels checked. If required take supplements for it.

Why Tooth Picking Is Bad for Oral Health
A lot of people love to use tooth picks in order to clear out food stuck in their teeth after meals.Some people even consider to do it as a habit that they will use it, even if they no longer have to. These people do not know that there are possible hazards to using it. In order to convince them to avoid using tooth picks, here are 5 reasons why it is bad for oral health.
It can be a source of oral infections. In fact, it could also be a reason for a person to acquire more severe oral discomforts such as mouth cancer. Keep in mind that tooth picks are never sterile as they are only be stored on tables and closets kept inside their boxes or cases. It would never be ideal to put such thing inside your mouth for health reasons.
Constant tooth picking can break the enamel of your teeth. The enamel which is a hard yet thin layer covering the crown of a tooth is a vital tissue as it serves as the main protection or coat of the tooth. Due to its thinness, it can easily break this tissue given that tooth picks are made up of hard substance. Once the user applies pressure on the tooth, the enamel will easily break off of it. Just imagine all of the damage your teeth enamel has taken so far if you are using it three times a day.
It can be damaging to the gums. Whenever a person is using tooth picks, it is inevitable for them to sometimes hit their gums with it. Worse is when they apply too much pressure and they would accidentally have their gums wounded. If you have wounded or damaged gums, the chances of being able to acquire diseases would be higher most especially if the gums become infected. This is why most dentists advise their patients and clients to use dental flossers instead as they are proven to be more safe

For that good care of teeth is necessary, brush twice daily after food. Clean mouth after eating something. Vitamin c and calcium is must for healthy teeth. Take as much as sour fruits like lemon, mango, amla, tamrind, for calcium custard, dates, etc. If you have cavity go to dentist for proper care or else it will spread to other teeth.

Do I have tmj problem i am suffering from left jaw pain while eating sometimes in the morning I feel this pain I consult doctor recently he said you do not have tmj problem you just have wisdom tooth that hitting the muscle so that's the cause for pain. And I get removed left wisdom tooth upper and lower I still feel the same pain in the joint can anyone tell me what's the problem is?

TMJ pain TMJ disorders may cause mild to debilitating symptoms, such as: •pain while chewing •pain in the ear, face, jaw, and neck •clicking, grating, or popping sounds in the jaw when you open or close your mouth •locking of the jaw joint, headaches Exercises for TMJ pain relief 1. Relaxed jaw exercise Rest your tongue gently on the top of your mouth behind your upper front teeth. Allow your teeth to come apart while relaxing your jaw muscles. 2. Goldfish exercises (partial opening) Place your tongue on the roof of your mouth and one finger in front of your ear where your TMJ is located. Put your middle or pointer finger on your chin. Drop your lower jaw halfway and then close. There should be mild resistance but not pain. A variation of this exercise is to place one finger on each TMJ as you drop your lower jaw halfway and closed again. Do this exercise six times in one set. You should do one set six times daily. 3. Goldfish exercises (full opening) Keeping your tongue on the roof of your mouth, place one finger on your TMJ and another finger on your chin. Drop your lower jaw completely and back. For a variation of this exercise, place one finger on each TMJ as you completely drop your lower jaw and back. Do this exercise six times to complete one set. You should complete one set six times daily. 4. Chin tucks With your shoulders back and chest up, pull your chin straight back, creating a “double chin.” Hold for three seconds and repeat 10 times. 5. Resisted opening of the mouth Place your thumb under your chin. Open your mouth slowly, pushing gently against your chin for resistance. Hold for three to six seconds, and then close your mouth slowly. 6. Resisted closing of the mouth Squeeze your chin with your index and thumb with one hand. Close your mouth as you place gently pressure on your chin. This will help strengthen your muscles that help you chew. 7. Tongue up With your tongue touching the roof of your mouth, slowly open and close your mouth. 8. Side-to-side jaw movement Put a ¼ inch object, such as stacked tongue depressors, between your front teeth, and slowly move your jaw from side to side. As the exercise becomes easier, increase the thickness of the object between your teeth by stacking them one on top of each other. 9. Forward jaw movement Put a ¼ inch object between your front teeth. Move your bottom jaw forward so your bottom teeth are in front of your top teeth. As the exercise becomes easier, increase the thickness of the object between your teeth. Other ways to manage your TMJ pain Over-the-counter pain relievers such as ibuprofen and acetaminophenmay help relieve TMJ pain. Muscle relaxers may be prescribed for severe pain. Doctors may also recommend: TMJ pain may also be managed with simple lifestyle changes. You may wish to: •eat a soft diet to allow the TMJ to relax •avoid chewing gum •avoid biting your nail •avoid biting your lower lip •practice good posture •limit large jaw movements, such as yawning and singing tips to reduce pain and help make sure your teeth and gums stay healthy: •Use a soft-bristle toothbrush or a sonic toothbrush. •Use a rubber tip stimulator or water flosser if you can’t open your mouth to floss. •Add an antiseptic mouth rinse to your daily dental care regimen. •Tell your dental care team if you’re in pain during a dental procedure. •Apply ice or heat after a dental procedure. •Talk to your dentist about ways to remove plaque other than flossing. For example, they may suggest wiping your teeth with cotton gauze.
