Hi I'm seven weeks pregnant. I've got my first ultrasound done on 18 april in which twin gestation was seen of 5-6 weeks. Cardiac activity was seen in one feti. I've got my second ultrasound done today I 27 april. Today also fetus a corresponding to 7-8 weeks showing cardiac activity and fetus b showing non viable gestation of 5-6 weeks was the report. My other fetus is not growing. What can be the reasons? Are there any chances of fetus growth? Is there any effect to the growing fetus? What can be done now? Please guide me well.

There are cases of vanishing twins in which one survives, the other generally is shrunk and gradually absorbed in the womb and csuses no problem to the live foetus or mother. Be aware of any bleeding and take extra rest, thats it

I have had intercourse with my wife a few days ago using condoms as protection. At first session we had intercourse with condoms then I had few drops of cum on my hands, then I went off washed my hands with soap. Then in the next session I fingered her. So now the problem is, she did not get her periods till date. She has symptoms like unusual sleepiness, food cravings, increased body temp and frequent urination than usual. So is she pregnant now? In addition We had intercourse during her non fertile day.

The chances of pregnancy are very very rare in the current scenario. However please get a home urine pregnancy test or a blood test to rule out pregnancy. Symptoms alone can't predict the chance of pregnancy.

Hi Sir, This is Badri, I am recently married having a doubt. When I am feeling sperm is coming outside that time I am putting my pennies outside. Is there is any chance to get my wife pregnant ? Thanks, Badri.

Hi Sir, This is Badri, I am recently married having a doubt. When I am feeling sperm is coming outside that time I am...
yes..When a man is aroused, he begins dripping a fluid called pre-ejaculate fluid. There can be sperm in the pre-ejaculate fluid.  So while the pre-ejaculate fluid might barely contain any sperm, there is always the possibility that some might survive. After you ejaculate, semen continues to drip from your penis for a time. That is because not all the semen comes out during ejaculation. Some is left behind. You also continue to produce pre-ejaculate fluid, which then pushes the leftover semen out of the penis. This fluid contains a great number of sperm cells and can easily cause pregnancy. So while you were trying to avoid pregnancy, you actually only decreased the amount of semen you left in her. You did not eliminate it. Therefore, the odds of getting her pregnant is nearly the same as if you had ejaculated in her.

Can I use nano silver gel verena during intercourse while trying for conceiving. Will it be effective?
This gel is meant for treatment of infection and not for treatment of infertility. So it will not help for pregnancy.

You need to consult your gynaec as it is important to establish a diagnosis. Any infection needs to be ruled out as it may lead to preterm labour .!

WINTER DIET (Hemanta ritucharya) TO REMAIN FIT & DISEASE FREE -AS PER AYURVEDA

Long nights, short days, sparkling snow flakes and people dressed in warm clothes are the images evoked for the word winter. The winter season is marked as Hemanta ritu in ayurveda. Hemanta ritu starts from mid November and ends in mid January. This falls in southern solastice which is called as visarga kala or dakshinayana in ayurveda.

Winter causes health problems when adequate precautions and safety measures are not taken. But winters can be enjoyed to full extent when we alter our diet and lifestyles a little as nature desires. As we are part of nature these changes help us to face the seasonal changes without much serious health problems.Winter is actually the best season to improve immunity. It's not a weakening season if you know how to strengthen immunity.

Winter is the season when nature is ready to nurture us. Due to the digestive level being very high, people feel hungrier, and can actually digest food better in winter, thus nourishing their bodies more.

In Ayurvedic terms, immunity is connected with the digestion. When digestion is strong and appetite is good, then immunity is strengthened.

For this reason, it's more important that people eat immunity-boosting foods in winter, and that they follow the Ayurvedic daily routine. This should be the regimen in winter, to nourish the mind and body by getting more rest and eating well. Other seasons are better for purifying, but winter is the time to build up and nourish all systems--the hair, the nails, and the skin. It's also the best season for taking Rasayanas and herbal products, because the high level of digestion helps people to assimilate them better.

Try these if you want to improve your immune system for the big freeze…

How many months should I give gap for my next pregnancy as I had abortion in 10th week due to rubella attack. Please suggest now can I take rubella vaccination after abortion or any medicines are there? Thanks in advance.

MBBS, MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology, PhD(breast diseases)
Gynaecologist, Chandigarh
Take at least three months gap to let your body recover from the abortion. since you have had infection from rubella your body must have produced antibodies against it so no need for injection now.
