Hi, the yellow color of your teeth might be because of stains which can be superficial and deep and the flakes you have mentioned are tartar deposited on your teeth. Both can be removed by going for a complete scaling procedure.

As the periods come on proper time but the amount of menstrual flow is very low and do not last for 2-3 days. It means that your hormones that control the the periods (menstruation) have normal cycle but the amount of hormones are less than normal that's why the flow is scanty. *for normal & adequate menstrual flow get up early in the morning and take a fast walk for atleast 15 -20 minutes. If you can run, then run atleast for 3-5 minutes. * practice bhujangasana (cobra postion) & pawanmuktasana everyday only under the guidance of yoga expert. * check out your thyroid profile & in case of abnormal reports get the proper treatment of it. * monitor your weight & if you are overweight then do more physical activities & change lifestyle to reduce the weight so that the peroids get normal. * eat more green leafy vegetables & avoid fast foods having high refined starch & fat. * you can take dashmoolarisht for your scanty periods only under the supervision of ayurvedic doctor. It can make your hormones level normal and make your periods regular.

hello..mouth create saliva while eating as it contains digestive enzymes to help break down food.Our stomachs contain gastric juices that aid in digestion.The liver is also important as once nutrients are taken from the food we eat they are sent through the bloodstream to the liver.The liver requires an ample amount of water to function and do its job properly.so drinking water about 30 minutes before and after you eat will help keep the body hydrated which results in optimal digestion. and for flat tummy do 30 to 45 minute cardeo exercises..drink warm water with lemon and honey early in the morning..maximum intake of green tea and water..

Simple ways for a restful sleep 1.Cut down on caffeine: Caffeine drinkers may find it harder to fall asleep. Even a single cup of coffee in the morning may lead to a sleepless night. Caffeine blocks the effects of adenosine, a neurotransmitter thought to promote sleep. Caffeine can also interrupt sleep by increasing the need to urinate during the night. Because caffeine withdrawal can cause headaches, irritability, and extreme fatigue, it may be easier to cut back gradually rather than to go cold turkey. Those who can’t or don’t want to give up caffeine should avoid it after 2 p.m. Or noon if they are especially caffeine–sensitive. 2.Stop smoking or chewing tobacco: Nicotine is a central nervous system stimulant that can cause insomnia. If you continue to use tobacco, avoid smoking or chewing it for at least one to two hours before bedtime. 3.Limit alcohol intake: Alcohol depresses the nervous system, so a nightcap may seem to help some people fall asleep. Alcohol suppresses REM sleep, and the soporific effects disappear after a few hours. Alcohol also worsens snoring and other sleep breathing problems. 4. Worry and stress causes sleeplessness. Find out what hurts you and resolve the issue.

Diabetic control is very difficult and you need to take strict measures and add or change the drugs. Diabetes, often referred to by doctors as diabetes mellitus, describes a group of metabolic diseases in which the person has high blood glucose (blood sugar), either because insulin production is inadequate, or because the body's cells do not respond properly to insulin, or both. It is a difficult task to control blood sugar in the desired normal range. Whatever we eat is metabolised to sugar in the body to provide energy for our daily activities. For the absolute control, one has to monitor his / her blood sugar at regular intervals (Self-Monitoring of Blood glucose – SMBG). Though difficult, this can be done by a glucometer and keep a record. Get an idea of Fasting sugar (FBS) and 2 hours after food (PPBS), & HbA1C (inform me) and check before dinner and after every major food. The basic idea is to reduce the food intake to 1/3 of what you take now. The dictum of sugar control is diet, exercise, diet + medicine and at later stage medicine+ Insulin will be needed. There are different diet plans of varying calories for each person depending on his activity & life style. For diabetes, hypertension (high BP) and many long-term illness control there is the need for regular advice and follow up. Just one time consultation or advice is not enough to guide a diabetic in scientifically & medically correct manner. For giving you regular follow up you ask me with all details like your daily eating pattern and medicines you take. I assure you a proper guidance. If you keep in touch personally. avoid day time sleep, avoid tea, coffee and cola in late evening and after. 8 hours sleep is ok . 10 pm to 6 am is perfect timing. take rtest and balanced diet.

Hi, my age is 62 years old. I had been diagnosed with type II diabetes and the medicines I have been taking are as follows:- Metformin 1000 mg 1xod Metformin 500 mg 1xhs glimepiride 2 mg 1xbd clopid 75 mg 1xod atorvastatin 20 mg 1xhs The above medicines have been taken regularly for past three months. Now I have taken the blood test two days ago. The result is as follows:- FBS 149 PPBS 235 HbA1c 6.0 Serum urea 24 mg/dl serum creatinine 0.89 serum Uric acid 5.3 Liver Function Test Total Bilirubin 0.78 SGOT 50 SGPT 58 LIPID Profile Total cholesterol 135 Triglycerides 121 HDL 46 LDL 65 I request a diagnosis of my status of health. I go for swimming once in a while and find no problem in swimming for about 700 metres in about one hour (that is 14 lengths in a lap of 50 metres each) I am muscular and have a athletic body and have no other symptoms. I love drinking alcohol and have about three pegs of 60 ml each every night most days. Should I stop drinking. I can muster enough will if the kind doctor says so. Thanking you in anticipation.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for your query. I have gone through all the details given including lab values. All the values seem to be well within normal limits, except SGOT & SGPT. Both are slightly high, signifying some affection of liver functions. It points to one thing clearly that is to reduce alcohol intake. It should be preferably one or two days in a week plus much lesser in quantity. Thanks.

Yes it may cause a variety of symptoms. If these symptoms are recurrent, go for removal of the wisdom tooth.

Dear you can take these things instead of breakfast. Breakfast should be rich with calories including protein & carbohydrates. You dont need to take breakfast after eating these things.

Hello doctor am 28 yrs old female 2 months back I joined in la belle for weight loss treatment I was 78 kgs in two months I reached to 75kgs but am not satisfied as they give diet if I quit that diet again I put on my weight for each session I loose 300 to 400gms of weight bt am unable to maintain that weight for my next session I gaining weight recently I joined jim there am doing 90-108 suryanamaskar aerobics cardio exercise is it good to do all these at a time please suggest me to maintain my weight for my sessions and to reduce my weight thank you.

There are many lifestyle and dietary guidelines that can be followed: take high protein prescribed diet, have paneer, eggs and potatoe daily. Incorporate dry fruits in your diet on a daily basis.
