You are suffering from mechanical back pain. Do regular spinal extension exercises. Avoid forward bending and heavy weight lifting. Avoid prolong sitting. Take anti-inflammatory drug like ibuprofen to reduce pain and inflammation.

Hi, my age is 26 I have diagnosed by mild pcod 6 months before I took treatment for 6 months after that my periods where almost regular till now my weight is in control, started yoga but still started facing problem. Again. I want to try ayurvedic or any home made medication.

Hi initially you should have diet control specially oily food and baked items. As you r practising yoga continue it without fail. Then take following medications1) chithrakagranthyadi kasayam 30ml with 60ml lukewarm water twice daily 6: 30am &pm before food 2) shaddaranam tablet 1twice daily before food3) vyoshadi guggulu 2tab 2times after food4) ovarin capsule 2 capsule thrice daily after food 5) kanchanara guggulu 2tablet 2times with kasayam before food 6) weekly once do mild purgation with sukumara erandam 4teaspoon with half glass hot water at 9: 30am.

Hye, Thanks for the query. If you want to gain some weight, you need to eat more calories than you burn. 1. Eat 5 to 6 meals a day In order to gain weight, you need to start eating 5-6 meals a day. However, it is important that you break these meals into parts, as eating a lot at once may result in indigestion. Also, be sure to include healthy foods in your diet for a healthy weight gain. 2. Weight train at least 3 times a week When you train with weights, your muscles grow. 3. Consume more calories than you burn. Eating calories more than your normal intake may not be easy, but you must do it if you want to stop being skinny. Make sure you don’t do it just by overeating at once, but instead do it gradually over the whole day. 4. Work out your entire body A lot of gym goers usually train only the muscles on their arms, chest and shoulders and this is a grave error. Make sure you workout your entire body for a wholesome weight gain. 5. Load up on protein As informed earlier, you have to consume more calories than your normal intake every day. You can do this by eating foods rich in protein like dairy, meat, eggs, nuts, dry fruits, pulses, sprouts, smoothies, milk shakes etc. 6. Drink your calories It may be tough to meet your calorie requirements by just eating. Drinking milk, lassi, milkshakes or fruit smoothies with little or no sugar can be a great way to load up on the required calories. 7. Try and eat fast (but don’t choke on it) Your body takes some time to give signals of satiety which is why eating fast can help you eat more. 8. Focus on recovery after each workout Stretching exercises, foods rich in carbohydrates can help recover your body significantly. Also, you should aim for 8 hours of sleep as inadequate sleep can cause several problems. 9. Be patient with yourself.

Premenstrual Syndrome - How It Can Be Treated?

Premenstrual syndrome is a common condition that affects women who are menstruating. A multitude of psychological and physical symptoms might show up before the onset of a menstrual period. What causes PMS is unknown, but fluctuating hormonal levels (progesterone and oestrogen) seem to be linked to it.

Symptoms
PMS has many symptoms. These vary in severity and frequency and aren’t the same in every woman. These are the common symptoms of PMS:
1. Tenderness of breasts
2. Bloating
3. Increase in weight
4. Agitation
5. Impaired concentration
6. Backaches or headaches
7. Fatigue
8. Anxiety
9. Irritability
10. Depression or mood swings
11. Overeating or food cravings

Diagnosis
A doctor might recommend a few tests to understand and rule out related symptoms:

  1. Diary: Keeping track of the PMS symptoms in a diary for a few months to check the duration will help you understand the condition better. You might be able to see recurring patterns in your behaviour and moods after keeping track of them for few consecutive months.
  2. Thyroid test: Thyroid disease is fairly common in women and a lot of its symptoms match those of PMS. To rule out any thyroid problem, a test can be done to check the efficiency of the thyroid.

Prevention
Relief can be found by treating the symptoms as there is no prevention of the condition. A nutritious diet, sufficient rest and exercise can help deal with the symptoms better.

Treatment

  1. Nutrition: Proper nourishment leads to overall mental and physical well-being. Dietary changes like consuming less caffeine, sugar and salt might reduce the PMS symptoms. Supplements prescribed by your doctor such as vitamin E, calcium, magnesium and vitamin B6 help as well.
  2. Medications: Painkillers such as naproxen, ibuprofen and aspirin may provide relief from cramps, backache, breast tenderness and headache. If the PMS causes severe depression, your doctor may prescribe certain antidepressants.
  3. Being Informed: Tracking your periods by maintaining a monthly diary can help you understand and in turn prevent the severity of the PMS symptoms. Learning about coping mechanisms can help you as well. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a gynaecologist.

I have gained good amount of weight within six months. I was 63 last august 2017 and currently weighing 72 kg. I really feel strange as my diet includes normally rice or bread with any cooked vegetables or lentils. I hardly eat out. of course I used to diet was way less last year like way lesser than what I am eating now. But just a slight diet change has made me fat over these 6-7 months.
