I am a 41 year old diabetic male, I am suffering from neck, right shoulder and back pain since 8 years. Inspite of doing regular excercise I am unable to get rid of this pain. I consult with a orthopedic he has prescribed me vitamin d3 and calcium tablet but all in vain. Please guide me.

Since you have mentioned that you have done regular physiotherapy, medicines etc and have still not gained any relief, my advise to you will be to get mri and dynamic x rays of your spine done so that we can see whats wrong. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana -- lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Hello, you can take homoeopathic medicine carbo veg 30 (4 drops in little water) thrice a day for a week and update. Drink lot of water. Include fruits, raw vegetables and fresh vegetable juices in your diet. Tea/coffee should not be taken in excess. Avoid fried and spicy food.

* neck pain occurs due to wrong posture or due to strain on your neck muscle. Check your posture, do not bend your neck excessively and when you work on your laptop or computer after half hour of working move your neck slowly in clockwise and anticlockwise direction. * do neck massage with lukewarm mustard oil. * do not take pillow of high hight during sleeping or avoid to take pillow. * in diet vegetable protein of cereal, b complex supplements and half teaspoon of haldi in a cup of milk for seven days will give you enough relief.

Hello lybrate user, surgical scars are difficult to eliminate especially after four years of treatment. I would suggest you to leave it as it is. Any treatment would be very expensive and treatment complicated but the chances of success are less. Hope this helps.

It is not due to your heart problem. Its dysaesthesia (loss of sensation. Kindly dip your hands inside mug full of lukeworm water for 15 min and do some free exercises for one week. Kindly do stretches for your hands also regularly. This will be helpful.

Hi, Take tab. Shallaki 400 mg 1-2 tabs 3 times a day depending on the severity of the pain. Take Balarista 2tsf 3 times a day, mixed with equal quantity of water and Maharasnadi Khadha 2 tsf 3 times a day, mixed with equal quantity of water. Apply Rumalaya liniment to the affected joints and massage in circular motion for 10-15 mins and then take hot water fomentation. Avoid potatoes, sweet potatoes, sweet pumpkin, peas, channa, recently harvested rice, jackfruit, etc. Which aggrevate the pain. You can even undergo physio- therapy for 10-15 days.

Hi apart from good food as suggested by the other dr, you should do stretching exercises to strengthen and make joints mobile and rigidity free. Avoid too much of stairs climbing daily. Thanks.
