I am not conceiving from last 11 months earlier I was having ovarian cyst but now my cyst is completely dissolved. S should I go for ivf treatment or what should I do?

MD-Ayurveda, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Sexologist, Haldwani
Hello- You might have taken hormonal treatment for your ovarian cyst. The main side effect of the treatment is delayed conception. Try Uttar Basti Panchakarma treatment of ayurveda(Safe, natural and much cheaper than IVF) before going for IVF. It will surely gonna help you in getting pregnant.

What doe it mean by low lying placenta in 14 weeks of pregnancy? Is it risky? What is the precautions?

DNB (Obstetrics and Gynecology), MS - Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG)
Gynaecologist, Kolkata
Yes it is risky. You may have sudden bleeding per vagina. You need to take rest as much as possible for 1 month because placenta normally migrates and it will migrate upwards by 1 month. Do an usg after 1 month.

Hi my wife is pregnant now and it's her 7th week. I came to knw that we can have a intercourse during pregnancy also for better flexible in vaginal mouth for delivery. Is that correct? If yes from which week we can have the intercourse? What needs to be avoided? How frequently we can have? Thanks in advance.

MD

Sex is not prevented during preg however if there are problems better to avoid and definitely after 32-34wks over indulgence to be avoided at all times so the person is not tired.

Hello, Please get an ultrasound pelvis done to look for any adnexal mass or collection which can often cause pain in the lower abdomen post delivery during sex.

I am female 23 year old, I had sex without precautions after 2 days of my periods, I took I pill after 4 hours and one after 24 hours and yesterday again my periods came. So please tell me is any chance of pregnancy.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Vadodara
No, no chance of pregnancy, this bleeding is due to side effect of I pill. You should not use I pill frequently it may cause severe hormonal imbalance in your body. In long term. So try to use other precautions.

I missed my period this month and I was feeling vomit sensation everyday I think iam pregnant is this symptoms fr pregnancy? Please help me.

MS - Obstetrics and Gynaecology, MBBS
Gynaecologist, Delhi
Dear you can't make diagnosis just on the basis of symptoms. Kindly do a urine pregnancy test. The best time to do is early morning but with ultrasensitive kits you can get it done at any time of day.

I can't understand why is it so difficult to control the feeling as I am getting divorced and I have a craving for sex many times, its been almost 5 years I am living separate with my husband.

Diploma in Family Medicine, M.Sc - Psychotherapy

Hello you are just 32 and undergoing trauma of a breakup. It is common to seek that which is forbidden. You will need time to come to terms with the divorce and in time you may want to find another partner.

Helo doctor yesterday I had a ultrasound in which I got my baby weight is 2 kg 400 gms. I am actually 35th week pregnant and my 9th month is going on. Doctor did not said me directly that baby weight is low according to 35th week but indirectly my doctor suggested me to take more good diet. Dear sir pls do suggest me if my baby is really weak.

BHMS
Homeopath, Hyderabad
No, 2.5 kg is an ideal birth weight so don't get tensed and try to eat well and try to have still more birth weight rather than becoming worried, don't worry you still have 2-3 weeks time to have delivery.

Bleeding can continue upto 2-3 weeks after pills for abortion. For pain she can have meftal-spas tablet upto three times daily. I hope she had an ultrasound scan done before she took the abortion pills to see where the pregnancy was.

Hi doctor. Me and my boyfriend had intercourse last Sunday. He was not fully into me. But I did not bleed and I had much pain. I'm a virgin. I have pcod. It was just for 30 sec. Is there any chance of pregnancy? Please I'm worried.

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology, MBBS
Gynaecologist,
You say your boy friend was" not fully" into you, and that you did not bleed. Vagina is the place where the penis gets inserted at sex. Vagina has a outer covering called hymen and this hymen has a central small hole through which the penis passes at sex. While most of the women have bleeding if hymen is torn during sex, some do not have it in some women the hole in the hymen is elastic enough to allow the penis to go beyond it. So even though you may have an intact hymen and no bleeding and your boyfriend has not been" fully into" you, it could be that he has either ruptured your hymen or gone beyond it due to its elasticity. In some men the pre ejaculatory fluid which comes at erection and drops out of the penis when being inserted, it may contain sperms. So there could be a" slim" chance of pregnancy, if such a sperm has been released. But by and large pre ejaculatory fluid doesnot contain sperms and so the chances of the pregnancy are" rare" at the most. The chances of the pregnancy are high if the intercourse has happened in the fertile days if 72 hours have not passed since the intercourse, it may be prudent to take a emergency contraceptive pill for safety. Do not worry. If you are feeling very worried consult a gynecologist.

Sir I aborted my 2 week old child naturally. Sir I want to ask when will I get rid of this ovary pain. Please tell me I am worried.

Naturally means that without any doctor's advise through home remedies, then maybe it has not been completely out, incomplete abortion causes pain. Get yourself checked up.

There is no evidence. However it is good for health in general and specially in people who are diabetic or prone to diabetes.

Hi lybrate user, you can use contraceptive pills or condom. But pills will be better option. As condom has high failure rate as compared to pill

Hello doctor. Need your advice on second pregnancy. Currently having 1 year little one through C-section. My age is 31. Is it right time to get pregnant again.

Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, MBBS
General Physician, Delhi
we suggest a gap of 3 years but it's your choice of raising 2 babies. some women like a gap of a year and raise two kids like twins while others wait for first child to be school ready. as far as operation is concerned, more chances of a normal delivery if gap is more and other parameters are normal for delivery. the trial is the effort provided your doctor is with you with ready ot in case operation is needed. ultrasound guided delivery is done these days and it's reassuring for the mother about progress being visible
