Everybody has tensions and stress. What is important is how you perceive the stress and react to it. Counselling helps to modify your perceptions to situations which make you anxious. 1. See the problem in small bits and pieces and try to solve each piece separately. Don't look at the problem as a whole because it can be very overwhelming and scary. See, which parts you can solve on your own and where you can take help from others. Do you need to learn an extra skill to be able to solve a particular part of the problem? then learn that skill. For eg. If you get anxious about your finances and don't know how to manage it well enough to cover you for the future, then take help of friends, experts who know the subject well. Also you can learn yourself some ways to manage your funds better. You can take classes or go on the net to educate yourself etc. 2. Everybody makes mistakes and nobody is perfect. Make room for mistakes and errors. This way you will learn from your errors and help in making better judgement next time. 3. Take external help: you need not take all the pressure. Delegate jobs to people who have the time and the knowledge to do it. It's important to network and have a sound support system of friends, colleagues, relatives, professionals, who can pitch in at the time of need. 4. Prioritise: learn to prioritise tasks and identify which are not important and do less of those. This way you will have more time on your hands to attend to what is more important. 5. Organise and plan: try to foresee the future and predict what can happen and then have a plan. If one plan fails, then have a backup plan. Successful people usually think through their problems from different angles and come up with different solutions if one doesn't work out. 6. Be flexible: be alert and notice if things are not working out the way you had wanted. Be ready to make last minute changes to your plan. It doesn't mean that you had made a mistake, it just means that some things are beyond your control and these things may not happen as you had predicted. You are willing to modify. 7. Have hope and faith: that's the most important aspect. Have hope that things will work out well. If not now. Maybe later. Have faith in your own strengths and other people. Trust god and leave it to him. If it has to happen it will one day. Meanwhile, tell yourself that you did your best. If things don't work out, then don't be hard on yourself and others. There's always another day. Cheers.

I am 21 years of age. I am suffering from the problem of delayed or no menstruation. I am overweight and I have tried everything to loose weight but I get zero results. I have take ginette for 4 Yr as was recommended by doctor but still there is no improvement. But now I am not taking any medicine. Periods did not come from the last 2.5 month and I am very much disturbed due to this problem.

Tips for regular weight lose: increase the quantity of fruits and vegetables and low calorie foods. Avoid intake of too much salt as it may be a factor for increasing body weight. Milk products like cheese, butter etc. And non-vegetarian foods should be avoided as they are rich in fat. Mint is very beneficial in losing weight. A chutney of green mint with some simple spices can be taken with meals. Mint tea also helps. Spices like dry ginger, cinnamon, black pepper etc. Are good for loosing weight and can be used in a number of ways. Regular intake of carrot juice. Avoid rice and potato, which contain a lot of carbohydrates. Among cereals wheat is good. Vegetables like bitter gourd (karela), and bitter variety of drumstick are useful in loosing weight. Honey is an excellent home remedy for obesity. It mobilizes the extra deposited fat in the body allowing it to be utilized as energy for normal functions.

Hi lybrate-user Everyone wants to reduce fat from some or other part of the body. And the most common problem area is the tummy. Here are 6 tips to keep in mind while you’re worrying about your belly fat: 1. Before you target your tummy fat, try to lose the extra fat around your abs by doing cardiovascular exercises that engage multiple muscles. Try circuit training that burns higher amount of calories in a shorter period. 2. There is no such thing as spot reduction when you have a lot of weight to lose. Instead, try to lose some weight, and once you are thin enough, focus on particular areas to get better results. 3. Get more sleep. If you’re not getting enough sleep and only concentrating on the exercises, you’ll end up over-exhausting yourself. This will do more harm than good. You will end up eating more to fight the lethargic feeling. Try to get at least 6-8 hours of sleep per night in order to win in the fight against belly fat. 4. Eat less sugar and calories. Belly fat is easily reduced with a controlled diet. Try to include more protein and fiber rich vegetables that will keep you full for longer, resulting in less snacking between meals. 5. Drink more water as this will keep you satiated and will prevent you from mistaking thirst for hunger. 6. Eat more fat to burn more fat. Consuming healthy fats actually help your body to burn the unwanted fat. Stock up on healthy fats like healthy oil and fish.

My Fasting sugar remains at around 125 to 130 and PP at around 100-110 ? Why? Pancreas/Insulin seems to be responding to food but why is it high empty while fasting ?

Since your fasting blood sugar is taken before eating a meal and your postprandial blood sugar is taken after the meal, your fasting level should be lower than your postprandial level. But if the numbers are reversed and your fasting blood sugar levels are higher than your postprandial levels, it could indicate a serious health problem.

*take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. *take 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper (kali mirch), 1/ 2 tea spoon of jeera (cumin), 2-3 slice of ginger. Boil it in one glass of water for 2-3 minutes. Drink 5-10 teaspoons (15-20 ml) in morning and evening. * take 1 tea spoon of liv-52 syrup daily one time.

Take homeopathic medicine acid phos 1m/single dose (5 drops in little water) and revert after 2 weeks. Apply jaborandi hair oil. Also use arnica shampoo. Drink 8-10 glasses of water daily. Eat healthy and balanced food like pulses, green leafy vegetables, fresh fruits and nuts etc. Add more vitamin rich food to your diet. Avoid stress and anger by meditation. Cut down the use of hair spray, hair gel. Take sound/good sleep. Avoid too much exposure of your hair to sunlight/ hair styling tools, as they damage hair and cause split ends.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Self sex or masturbation cannot cause any ovarian cancer or abnormal menses sexual urge is a natural instinct. In such a scenario when one gets aroused its natural to go for masturbation. During masturbation one just releases the sexual urge in harmless manner. Menstrual cycle is not related to sexual urge so masturbation doesnot cause any change in the body and hence canot cause cancer or affect menses.

this can be due to fungal infection so keep clean and dry vaginal portion,use vaginal wash and apply antifungal ointment or gel for itching.better visit to doctor for proper management.

Hello, the most common symptoms of zika are fever, rash, joint pain, or conjunctivitis (red eyes). Other common symptoms include muscle pain and headache. The incubation period (the time from exposure to symptoms) for zika virus disease is not known, but is likely to be a few days to a week. The illness is usually mild with symptoms lasting for several days to a week. Zika virus usually remains in the blood of an infected person for a few days but it can be found longer in some people. Severe disease requiring hospitalization is uncommon. The symptoms of zika are similar to those of dengue and chikungunya, diseases spread through the same mosquitoes that transmit zika.

Try few things for your back pain: - Apply Ice and Heat Heating pads and cold packs can comfort tender trunks. Most doctors recommend using ice for the first 48 hours after an injury -- particularly if there is swelling — and then switching to heat. You can use whichever you find comforting as long as your skin is protected. - Limit Bed Rest Studies show that people with short-term low-back pain who rest feel more pain and have a harder time with daily tasks than those who stay active. -Keep Exercising Activity is often the best medicine for back pain. Simple exercises like walking can be very helpful. But remember to move in moderation, Stay away from strenuous activities like gardening and avoid whatever motion caused the pain in the first place. -Maintain Good Posture most people have poor posture when going about their daily activities, putting unnecessary strain on their backs. -Strengthen Your Core Most people with chronic back pain would benefit from stronger abdominal muscles. If the abdominals are weak, other areas must pick up the slack. When we strengthen the abdominals, it often reduces the strain on the lower back. - Improve Flexibility Too much tension and tightness can cause back pain. By increasing flexibility you need to put an equal load throughout the body from the feet all the way up to the head. -Sleep the Right Way The amount of rest you get is important, and so is the position you get it in. Sleeping in a bad position or on a mattress without support can cause back pain. Back sleepers should put pillows under their knees. Side sleepers should place pillows between their knees to keep their spine in a neutral position. Stomach sleeping causes the neck and head to twist and can put undue stress on the back. -Use Relaxation Techniques Research shows that practices such as meditation, deep breathing and yoga, which help put the mind at rest, can do wonders for the back. -See a Specialist Developing an individualized exercise plan is essential to managing chronic back pain. Some patients need more core strengthening while others benefit mainly from stretching and improving flexibility.

I have 6 weeks pregnancy. I have burning urination with 2 time bleeding in urine. My doctor advise me tab nifnext SR. I completed 5 days course, but no positive result found. Urine culture is positive with organism escherichia coli. First line antibiotics is gentamicin sensitive. Second line is netilmicin and third line antibiotics is tobramycin sensitive.

I would rank can notharis as the number one homeopathic remedy for uti when the symptoms agree to it. Can notharis has been a very helpful homoeopathic medicine in treating cases of utis in people who have recently had an attack of streptococcal infections. This medicine can also be used in treating cases where there is recurrence, which means that people suffer from repeated attacks of these infections. It is indicated when the patient experiences a burning pain while passing urine. The patients get a feeling that they have to pass urine very often, but can pass very less urine at a time. Each time while passing urine, the patient experiences a very bad intense pain in the lower abdomen which extends upwards till the belly button. There is a feeling that the urine was not completely expelled and they feel that still more urine is yet to come out. Do regular exercise. Take 2 glass of water. Take 2 banana with warm milk in the morning. Eat soaked dry grapes or dates soaked in warm milk overnight. Include protein rich food in your diet like soyabean, sattu with milk, eggs, sprouts, milk and milk products, combination of cereals and pulses, take healthy and heavy breakfast. No drink before meals.

Simple carbohydrates that have high amount of sugar and less fiber and nutrients like cakes, biscuits and white flour often redirect the nutrients consumed through other sources to the process of digestion of their own. They could indirectly lead to hair loss since sugar is known for slowing down the ability of the body to handle stress – and stress is a major factor for hair fall. Hi Dr, I had missed my period. And checked urine pregnancy test. It shows positive. Then takes ultrasound. It showed no gestational sac present. Bulky uterus, and decidual reaction present. I want to know? I am pregnant or what? Or any serious problem? My lmp was 06/11/15.

hello, If there is no pregnancy in uterus then this can be an ectopic pregnancy most likely in tubes and this shall be confirmed after a repeat ultrasound within a week and if found is a surgical emergency where ectopic pregnancy has to be removed either through open approach or through laparoscopy.

If you are non vegetarian include eggs chicken and fish in your diet. Take small and frequent meals.
