Hye. Thank you for your query. There are many reasons for weight gain. Firstly, alcohol has the same amount of calories as fat. Secondly, the foods you eat along with it are usually high in fat. Both these will make your body gain weight. Most often the loss you see later is not fat loss but muscle loss and water loss. Hence, after a long time intake of alcohol people tend to gain unwanted fats, either visible or as internal gain of body fat percentage. Alcohol has no health benefits. Hence, there are no recommendations really. But keep to occasional drinking, avoid very oily spicy foods along with it and stay physically active.

Eating Chocolate On A Low Carb Diet!

When it comes to chocolate, darker is usually healthier. Dark chocolate is generally made with a high ratio of chocolate solids and very little added sugar. 

Choosing low carb chocolate

  1. Choose dark chocolate made from at least 70% cocoa solids
  2. Choose chocolate that hasn’t come in contact with any gluten-containing grains.
  3. Select chocolate produced organically by people working under fair conditions.
  4. Choose specifically labeled low carb chocolate.
  5. Double check the label for net carbs and hidden carbs.
     

The chocolate rules

For health benefits and weight loss, dark chocolate enjoyed in moderation on a low carb diet is possible – but there are rules.

  1. Set a “chocolate limit” and eat only a realistic amount – a few square inches.
  2. Count your carbs and your calories. Be strict, honest and accurate.
  3. If your cravings for sweets increase, reconsider your decision to eat chocolate.
  4. Eat a maximum of 10 net carbs per hour to avoid insulin spikes.

First you should follow low calories food for weight loss. * in morning, take 1-2 chapattis with a bowl of cooked green vegetables. You can take a glass of lemon water with it *in lunch you can take a bowl of raw vegetables like carrot, radish, tomatoes, turnip or beetroot. *in evening, you can take a cup of green tea only with some pieces of friuts like apple, pineapple, pear. Avoid taking banana or mango. *in dinner, you can take vegetable soup or a bowl of cooked vegetables. But do not take potato, sweet potatoes. * you can take a cup skimmed milk 4 times a week only during day time. * work out for atleast 1 hour in morning, you can try skipping for 15 minutes with a walk of 30 minutes and 5-10 minutes running. Follow these exercises in the morning - * lie down on flat surface, raise your legs without bending your knees, do it for 3-5 times daily * do not eat fastfoods and soft drinks, as they have high calories and the calories deposit in body in the form of weight if not utilised. * you can take medohar guggalu 1 tablet daily for quick weight loss but only under the guidance of ayurveda expert.

He is on gliptins metformin and sulfonylurea combination. Metformin is known to cause gi disturbances. Gliptins delays gastic emptying. Long term diabetics usually have diabetic gastropathy symptoms as well. Instead of cremaffin he can take isabgol powder. And increase fiber content in diet.

1. Move. Keep moving as much as you can whenever you can. 2. Avoid all sugar and ‘hidden’ sugars like high-fructose corn syrup. 3. Keep your immune system in great health. 4. Keep meal portions small especially if they’re cooked. 5. Find a great personal trainer and yoga instructor to keep you consistent. You should be at least 60-65 kgs.

Dear sir it is very complicated situation and the advise on line may harm you need to have either consultation with one of the physician on lybrate or you should contact the doctor in city where he can be physically checked since even to start the advise on line it will take one week to understand patient s actual suffering then only treatment will be advocated may be he is suffering with some ulcer - what you say black bile as far the constipation is concern just -just give him liqquid parrafin 1 spoon before sleep it will give him relief I hope this may not be definitive - I presume, and say the safest to relieve constipation, this may relieve the vomiting since the gases will be relieved to ease the irritation to diaphragm to relieve the reflex also is essential to control sugar to control acidosis- due to diabetes please feel free to contact.

Will vitamin D save my life? Should I really betaking four times the recommended daily dose?

Vit d suppliments is recommended only if deficiency is there. Take only the recommended dose otherwise it might cause toxicity. Vit d rich foods should be consumed. Eg beef liver, cheese, yogurt, egg yolk, fish and mushrooms. Daily 20-30 min of exposure to the sun is essential for daily requirement of vit d. Hope this helps you.
