I have a problem of bad breath, but it is not coming from mouth as it's always kept clean. Is this any sign of any digestive tract related problems?

BDS, CDE Endo-Prostho, CDE - Cast Partial & Complete Dentures
Dentist, Pune
Hello, bad breath could be because of digestive problems, it can be because of fasting, not eating for long hours, not drinking enough water, or if you are having acidity problem. It may be because of pungent eatables like garlic. But still get it checked by a dentist for any deposits and get it cleaned.

I am a 24 years old female and have toothache for last 4 weeks. What should I do?

BDS
Dentist, Cuttack
Tooth ache should not be taken lightly. It might mimick some other condition also. So please tell the nature of pain and when does it start and when does it end. Does it linger, does cil food or hot food affect the type of pain or does any hard food precipitate it. Do inform us. If possible just upload the pic of the tooth.

Our teeth are as important as the rest of our body parts. So, cleaning them for at least 2 to 3 minutes is necessary for their health.

My x-ray of one front tooth indicates bone loss of the root and infection around it. This tooth was damaged when I was a kid (45 yrs back). I am told that the only way is to do an implant. Is it so?

BDS
Dentist, Ahmedabad
Hello, if a Dr. Has told you so then he/she would have accessed all the possibilities. Then would have told you the treatment plan. But if at all there is any other treatment modality in your case then it would be a surgery to remove infection and a root canal treatment. I would need to see your xray if possible to tell you if the treatment I told you is possible or not.

Sir/Madam, In my childhood I fell from stairs and hurt myself in such a way that due to internal bleeding one of my tooth turned yellow from inside and has been like that since then. How can this thing be cured?

It seems that the pulp inside your tooth is no vital anymore. Get an rct done along with a jacket crown.

I had a lower right wisdom tooth removal 3 months ago and till now i am felling numbness in my lower lip and chin. I consult with the dentist and he suggests me to take a2z vitamin capsules 1 everyday until the problem resolved. My question is what is the problem with me and how can i recover from it? Is there any other medicines or process to recover from it?

Its a complication which can be encountered in third molar surgery. Its because of damage to a nerve which is very close to the root of the third molar. Please take Neurobion Forte tablet twice daily. I would be able to help you better if i see u personally.

I am 48 years male. Bad smell is coming out of my mouth. I am very uncomfortable while sitting near to my clients in meetings. Now my wife is also complaining. I brush my teeth after every meal but of no help.

Advanced Aesthetics, BDS
Dentist, Mumbai
Hi, there are various reasons of bad breath, like impurities in blood, inefficient digestive system, dry mouth (lack of saliva production), gum disease, cavities, plaque and tartar formation around teeth and gums, kind of diet, improper brushing / cleaning of mouth etc. I would advise you to get a thorough physical and dental examination to rule out the cause of bad breath and to solve it permanently. You can come for a consultation (free of cost) in our clinic.

Dear lybrate user with the limited amount of information provided we assume that as you are a diabetic you are concerned about tooth issues. It could had been better had you provided us with your fasting and hba1c levels for better understanding of your condition. Tooth decay is a common problem in diabetics due to unmanaged sugars and this should be regularly taken care of. Ideally diabetics should get their tooth inspected every 6 months and any infection should be taken care of at the earliest. Good that you are already consulting a dental surgeon and he has advised you wisely, please go ahead as advised by him. Take care that your sugars should be well in control before the procedure. Hope that solves your query. Anything more then please feel free to revert.

This condition starts from last 2 months. However, I brush my teeth twice daily and I didn't see any cavities in my teeth. What is the reason behind this. please suggest.

A limited consumption of sugary foods is suggested as the bacteria present in dental plaque changes them into acids.
