Sir I am running from last 10 days, I have too much pain in bones in lower part of leg, I was consult to doctor then he advised me for warm therapy, puts leg in warm water thrice a day but I don't get any change, sir I have my physical fitness test in Border road organisations department, running is compulsory, sir pls advised me what should I do. Hi lybrate-user based on the information provided pain it's because of strain over the lower leg. Now if it's a strain can be relieved by applying a crepe bandage. Need few days rest n than start with warm up always n stretching. Only than start brisk walking. N progress to running. N do calf, thigh stretching and strengthening exercises. Traveling in Auto Rikshaw on Mumbai Roads(Specially with pavment roads) can cause micro injuries to your back, It is advisable not to travel in auto with back pain.

For male 68 years, suffering from rheumatic arthritis which is under control. Sever pain in calf. Small gap problem in l4-l5. Bmd does not allow surgery. A nerve ans muscle tests are normal. Suggest for pain relief.

Severe calf pain could also be a bad knee, losss of electrolytes like calcium, magnesium, potassium, or dvt(deep vein thrombosis), or sciatic nerve. So a careful and detailed examination can only sort you out.

Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem. Consult after 10 days.

I have severe leg pain since 2 days , plzz suggest the medicine to cure the leg pain.
Keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.
