Dequervain' s teosynovitis affects 1st extensor compartment tendons and is very painful. You also have trigger finger issue. Please if you pain and triggering are too much, then I would advise you get a surgical release done as it is a small procedure which can be done quickly in daycare. If you do not wish to do that, I can advise brace, ice packs and anti-inflammatory medications can be tried for some time but if there is no relief then it' s wise to undergo surgical release. Hi, I am a software engineer suffering from L4-L5 bulging disc problem (left>Right). Body has already recovered disc almost 90℅ but still sometime I feel a pain. Requires detailed examination and investigation. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid, vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful. Use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomentation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Bio d3 max 1 tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that the patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that patient is going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5 days, inform.

Hello do hot fomentation for 15-20 min thrice in a day. Learn strengthening & stretching exercises from physiotherapist. This will help in reducing the pain. Revert me after 10 days thanks.

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

This type of pain is commonly due to injury to the heel. It may be nerve compression, insufficient blood supply, inflammation etc. You may go for x-ray to diagnose fracture, osteoarthritis etc, blood test including blood culture coagulation test and complete blood count. After that inform me for medicine.

Hi dear in your joint have less stability and you need to strengthen your muscles. Need to use crap bandage and immobilize for 2 days do --do proper icing twice in a day with duration of 15 min inform me after two days will give you further program how to straighten and what exercises you have to do take care.

You need to work on your rotator cuff musculature. Usually strengthening and stretching of the cuff and muscles around the shoulder helps. Once the endurance builds you wil not be experiencing any difficulty in throwing. Though thorough evaluation of shoulder and elbow is needed. I would recommend a visit to a sports physiotherapist nearby.

I want to reduce my belly fat. But I can't workout wit crunches because I have got lover back pain because of some extra muscle growth in my lower spine (found after MRI scan), and crunches causes heavy back pain. Please advice any other better option.

Even though exercise is very good for over all health it does not result in much weight loss. Crunches are not essential for losing belly fat. Making significant changes in diet can surely result in weight loss and it does not take extra time. there is a general approach and a specific approach as per individual patients metabolic profile. i will give you a general approach to try for 4 weeks. If it works, continue. If it doe not give enough result, consult. 1. do not eat anything sugary or sweet. 2. eat plenty of salad in lunch and dinner 3. do atleast 30 min of exercise every day of any kind.

Hello. This is mostly due to mechanical reasons. Good postural care will relieve you of your symptoms. Use a firm bed. Avoid prolonged sitting. Take a break in-between. Warm compress helps a lot. If symptoms still persist, you need to get an x-ray done.

The most common form of morning stiffness and pain is due to muscle imbalances and poor conditioning of the muscles themselves. Here are some tips for how to handle your back pain: -while sleeping, try lying in a curled-up, fetal position with a pillow between your legs. If you usually sleep on your back, place a pillow or rolled towel under your knees to relieve pressure. -find a mattress with back support. A good mattress should provide support for the natural curves and alignment of the spine. Medium-firm mattresses usually provide more back pain relief than firm mattresses. -do not perform activities that involve heavy lifting or twisting of your back -avoid bending forward and sitting in a place for long time -stretching and strengthening exercises are important. -a physiotherapist can tell you when to begin stretching and strengthening exercises and learn how to safely, easily, stretch and strengthen the weak and tight areas of your lower back and hips which cause pain while sleeping. Knee advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).
