I'm 18 years old. I have only less bone width. I'm too skeletal. How to gain weight and bone strength?

I'm 18 years old. I have only less bone width. I'm too skeletal. How to gain weight and bone strength?
Being skeletal is not a problem if you are active and disease free. Yes, it may compromise looks. Safe way is to correct metabolism by herbals. Take rich diet as per digestion and appetite. Lot if fibres and fruits. Milk and eggs are rich source of calcium. Start brunghanadi group of herbals for gaining healthy weight slowly. Do not take med for quick wt gain, it could be hormonal and dangerous. To my own patients I would suggest ayurveda paushtik powders and some other herbs and home made herbal foods only but after assessing digestion power only.

Hi, I am 18 year old. Par mai bahut weak hu Dekhne waale mujhe keh nahi paate k mai 18 ka hun so mujhe batayein k mai...
You can feel weak due to lack of essential nutrients, not getting enough sleep, a weak immune system, excessive drinking, skipping meals, emotional stress, and too much physical labor. Persistent weakness can be caused by health problems like anemia, arthritis, hypothyroidism, a sleep disorder, cancer, chronic fatigue syndrome, diabetes and heart disease. In these cases, it is very important to find out the exact cause behind your weakness. To feel energetic and refreshed in life, you must exercise daily for at least 30 minutes, maintain your ideal body weight, follow a good diet, sleep properly, drink water throughout the day to keep your body hydrated, avoid alcohol and stop smoking if you do .

What Is Urethral Stricture?

MBBS, MS - General Surgery, DNB - Urology
Urologist, Delhi
What Is Urethral Stricture?

The urethra is a thin tube that is responsible for carrying urine from the bladder. The urethra is wide enough to facilitate a free flow of urine. However, in some cases, the tube can narrow down and it can restrict urinary flow. This condition is known as a urethral stricture. It is a condition that affects mostly men.

Causes:
The inflammation of the tubular tissues or the presence of scar tissue is the number one cause for urethral stricture. In some cases, an accident or the injury to the groin area can also lead to the formation of such thin tubes. The other factors can include pelvic fractures, radiation, urinary infection and in some cases even STDs(Sexually Transmitted Disease).

Symptoms:
Most of the symptoms of Urethral stricture are mild. Only in some rare cases, the symptoms can be extreme. These can include weak or restricted urine flow, frequent urges to urinate, and feeling of heaviness in the bladder, a burning sensation during urination, swelling and pain while urinating. Sometimes your urine may discharge volts of blood and the color of urine may change.

Diagnosis:
Diagnosis is by a physical examination and by analyzing the urine samples. In most of the cases, the thickness of the walls is measured by cystoscopy. The rate of the urine passed may also be checked for identifying the symptoms.

Treatment:
Treatment depends on the severity of the condition. Nonsurgical methods aim to improve the width of the urethra. This is done by using an instrument called a dilator. This is done as an outpatient procedure. This procedure is the most common method done and is done for most of the milder cases. Surgery is another option. The surgery aims to remove the heaviness of the urethra and enlarges the size of the flow.

Urine Flow Diversion:
This is done in extremely rare cases if the bladder has to be completely removed. In those cases, hole in the abdomen is done and urine is bypassed to that hole. However, this is an extremely rare scenario.

Prevention:
Try to avoid injuries in the groin area. If you are playing sports or a fitness enthusiast, use proper protection for your abdominal and groin regions. Try to always have safe sex and if you feel that there is some discomfort or some uneasiness while passing urine, do consult with a doctor immediately. In many cases, the condition can be avoided if proper precautions are taken.

Hi there ~ there are many medications that can help treat depression and this is something that you might need to discuss with your psychiatrist. You are on medications for a very long time and right now it has not been helpful. I hope this helps in the way that you can find options to have your depression treated. Medications including but not limited to escitalopram, vilazodone, sertraline, bupropion, desvenlafaxine, duloxetine, etc may be other options however I strongly advise you to consult a psychiatrist before switching to other medications or adding another medication on to your current therapy. Hope this helps. Take care and have a lovely day!

I am experiencing some buzzing and (or) ringing sound in my ear. Earlier I was diagnosed with serious otitis media and now this situation persists. Am I suffering from tinnitus or it will fade with time?

BMLT,BASLP.
Audiologist, Cuttack
Hello, now you r in chronic serous otitis media means fluid in the middle ear with tinnitus. Remember tinnitus or ringing sound may happens due to impacted wax against eardrum, inner ear disorder, otosclerosis, chronic noise exposure etc. Sometimes tinnitus fades away or sometimes lasts long, so get an ent consultation for otitis media and for tinnitus it is better for you to avoid noisy places, use slow music against ringing sound, feel relax all the time by avoiding such sounds, avoid caffeinated products like chocolate, cola, tea, alcohol.

I am 27 age boy from bhopal please provide me a tip how to leave my smoking activity I had smoke daily I want to leave this Help me!

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd
Psychologist, Bangalore
Congratulations on your wonderful decision. You have to quit cold turkey because the body and mind will torture you endlessly while attempting a reduction in smoking. The tobacco tar in cigarette smoke lines your lung with huge patches that make that portion dysfunctional. Your oxygen carrying capacity is jeopardized, and breathing is impinged on. But don’t be discouraged because it is not too late even now to reverse all the ill-effects of smoking. I don’t know what other organs could be damaged but do go for a thorough medical check-up to assess the effects of your abuse. Regarding improving your lungs, do a lot of aerobic exercise breathing through your nostrils only. Then there are a lot of deep breathing exercises in Yoga which you can learn too. Deep breathing cleanses your system and lungs and restores it to good health. Deep breathing uses the 80% of the lungs which are not normally used in normal breathing and even when exerting yourself. The greatest effect is in the lungs because this substance is processed through the respiratory system directly through the lung surface. When quitting, you must take one day at a time; though you must give up all smoking at once, and promptly. If you look too far ahead you will get discouraged and will give up. If you sit and count the number of days you have given up, that will also focus too much on achievement. You must focus on the here and now, on that day to be precise. After all quitting is not that easy due to many factors. So even if you fail one day, you must try and try again. Very few people succeed in their first attempt. Your persistence will eventually pay off. The urge to discontinue is hampered by many factors but the worst of them is the conditioning. In fact, these conditions can exist all through the day, unlike other addictions. But your desire to want to stop is the most important factor. It is important to find out about the ill-effects of smoking to have a reason that alarms you about continuing the habit. The information is really scary but true and you must remind yourself about this every day. The nicotine in tobacco smoke stimulates the heartbeat to raise the blood pressure in no time at all. So you must avoid it like the plague: it is just very bad medicine for you. In fact, it is highly toxic too. You will need to stop smoking or consuming any tobacco related items with immediate effect. You should start vigorous exercises, gradually increasing it over a period of time. Do deep breathing exercises every time you feel like smoking (try Yoga), and replace the oral urge with some healthy food substitute to satiate the need. You may also take hard candy or chew gum. If the urge is too strong, then use nicotine gums and nicotine patches, for a little while until the smoking drive reduces, substantially. You may also join Smokers Anonymous in your city where the support is really extraordinary for like-minded people who are also in the same situation. Keep yourself occupied or engaged with interesting activities during the times when it is most tempting. Keep the company of non-smokers for some time i. E. At least for the first 21 days. Above all announce it to everyone that you have quit smoking. Here’s a piece of very good advice: even if you accidentally/willfully take a cigarette, it is not the end of the world – you can start the cessation all over again. You must persevere with the best support until you defeat this addiction. Counseling is very useful in the initial stages and when temptations are at their highest. You could also join twitter2quit program and enjoy its success to give up smoking.

I am diagnosed with anal stenosis. I feel pain during bowel movement. Is there any surgery to cure it? Pls reply

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
Mild stenosis can be managed conservatively with stool softeners or fiber supplements. Sphincterotomy may be quite adequate for a patient with a mild degree of narrowing. For more severe stenosis, a formal anoplasty should be performed to treat the loss of anal canal tissue.

It might be haemorrhoids or piles. It requires a general surgeon or a proctologist to inspect it to come to a conclusion as to whether it is just that or any other STD.

I am 41 years female. From three years I have spots on my face I consulted doctor 1 year before he said pigmentation ...
Homeopathic medicines have shown great results in cases of melasma or chloasma or blemishes or pigmentation. They help to better the problem from its root slowly and gradually. Homeopathy believes that the use of creams and ointments in skin disorders leads to the suppression (temporary removal) of the main symptoms of the internal disease which is done in the conventional or allopathic treatment. In allopathic treatment only creams are used to treat the condition and the internal problem is overlooked. The melasma spots may become lighter temporarily but they come back and can be even worse with these creams and lotions. Homeopathy concurs that skin disorders are to be treated from within. A well-prescribed medicine not only takes care of hyper pigmentation but also treats as a whole and improves general health as well.
