How To Remove Uric Acid In Joints And Treat Gout And Arthritis Pain?

How To Remove Uric Acid In Joints And Treat Gout And Arthritis Pain?

The number of people suffering from gout and arthritis is constantly increasing. The cause is the high amount of uric acid that accumulates around the joints. This, in turn, causes debilitating joint pain that interferes with daily activities. So, if you like to reduce your gout and arthritis pain, you need to learn how to remove uric acid in joints.

Let’s start from the beginning. The breakdown of purine (an ingredient in many foods) stimulates the production of uric acid. The produced uric acid should then dissolve in the blood, pass through the kidneys, and eventually flush out through the urine.

  • However, eating the wrong foods cause the formation of uric acid crystals, instead of processing it as always.
  • For instance, consuming a lot of sugar increases the levels of uric acid. Studies have proved that fructose increases the uric acid levels in the blood.
  • The consequences are increased angiotensin levels, reduced nitric oxide levels, and smooth muscle cell contraction. All this can result in kidney damage and high blood pressure.
  • Moreover, increased uric acid levels are related to mild inflammation which can progress into a wide range of health conditions and diseases.
  • The normal range of uric acid levels depends on gender, 3.4–7.0mg/dl for males and 2.4–6.0 mg/dl for females.

HAVING HEAVY PAIN IN LOWER BACK? Severe pain while getting up from bed only / 3dayspain in upper rip right side alone...
It must be sciatic pain ie. The nerve gets compressed in the low back. For that conservative management would be ice can be kept in the low back where you have back pain. It is suggestible to wear lumbo sacral belt which would help you to build the abdominal muscle tone which itself would make you feel better. You can also wear mcr chappals which would help you to have less weight falling in the painful back.

If it is in a joint then gout or infection are commonly considered. Apply cold compress. See a local doctor who can assess your condition. A good family physician will be helpful who may consider referring you to a specialist as needed.

I am have pain in my right elbow. I play cricket everyday and it pains only at that time. I think my ligament may be damaged. Help me out.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. If there is any instability in your elbow region while doing any activity, then that is an indication for mri of your elbow region as it will show us any issues with your elbow ligaments. Also please mention the exact site of elbow pain, is it at the back of your elbow, outer or the inner part because there are different reason for each one. It will be better if you can actually send me a clinical picture taken from your mobile or camera pointing to exact site of pain so that I can see it. Also kindly tell me whether there is any swelling, or any other s/s of inflammation like skin redness or local warmth on touch as well? have you got your uric acid levels done recently? do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

Hello. lybrate-user. If the pain is rradiating from neck to arm for last 6 months despite taking medications. I would advise you to undergo cervical spine MRI. Although proper and through clinical examination would help me better diagnose the issue, based on your symptoms MRI is recommended. If there is compression of nerve roots or cord exercise would not help, in fact it may worsen the problem.

Hi, your pain is due to muscle weakness of thigh. Concentrate on quadriceps, hamstring strengthening. If you plan to go to gym, its well and good. Do extension curls, ham curls and leg press, static cycling in gym. Icing for 10 mins by covering cloth over ice packs is very important to reduce pain. Check for any foot wear modification. Wear soft sole shoes / slippers.
