I am 70 years woman and healthy. I used to walk about 5 kms a day. Recently I got lower right hip pain which persisted and led to knee and right leg pain. It was diagnosed as age related slight degeneration in spine. I was on pain killers for 5 weeks and it has improved very much and I am able to walk within house. Do you suggest further treatment to recover faster so I can get back to my normal routine.

If you have low back pain and sciatica you can undergo intermittent pelvic traction where in your half of your body weight will be added in the electronic traction so that that would help you to reduce the pain, along with Interferential therapy stimulations which would help you to get relieved from the radiating pain. Apply ice for the pain to get subsided immediately. If you cannot go immediately for the physiotherapy treatment. Ice can be kept in the low back where you have back pain. It is suggestible to wear Lumbo sacral belt which would help you to build the abdominal muscle tone which itself would make you feel better. You can also wear MCR chappals which would help you to have less weight falling in the painful back. Leg Pain If you have leg pain then you have to rule out the casues for having leg pain. First of all check your weight and your haemoglobin levels, as Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having leg pain though there are no issues with the knee joint or back pain. If not if the pain radiates down the back of thigh and legs then it might be due to sciatica. Kindly consult the nearby physiotherapist. Hope you recover soon from the leg pain. That's the reason you cannot sit or stand and it is exactly around the L5 vertebrae where the sciatic nerve passes by.

It's all because Of pigmentation due to sunlight, also called as tanning. You can apply ointment Ban Tan on your hands and feet at night. Apply a sunscreen lotion of atleast 25 spf whichever suits you. If possible use umbrella and full sleeves wherever possible to avoid direct sunlight on skin. Hope that helps.

Remedies in case of constipation one should be very careful with the use of laxatives as they can often weaken the colon due to their strong action. They should be taken only in acute conditions. It is better to use simple diet remedies. A lot can be recovered by proper eating habits. Eating freshly cooked food is helpful. Spices like cumin seeds, coriander, turmeric powder, fennel and asafetida is good as it makes the food easily digestive. Proper chewing of food is very important. There should be at least four hours difference between two meals. Drinking some fruit juices between two meals is all right. Eating all day is completely wrong and causes many diseases. One should eat only when he feels hungry. Lunch should be the main meal because during the noon time, the digestive fire is extremely strong. Breakfast and dinner should be light. Eat your dinner at least two hour before sleeping. Do not mix too many kinds of foods in one meal. Take plenty of leafy vegetables and salads. Do not drink water one hour before and one hour after the meals. Drinking while taking meals is all right. Drinking butter milk at the end of meals is very good specially at lunch time. Drinking a glass of warm milk at the time of going to bed helps in evacuation, the next morning. In case of severe constipation mixing two tea spoonful of castor oil in the milk is very helpful. Do not stay up late in the night. Regulate your sleeping hours. Ayurveda advises to go to bed early and rise early. Two hours of sleep before midnight is better than four hours after midnight. In the morning after waking up, drink about one liter of water, preferably warm water, walk around in your room for a few minutes and then go for evacuation. This helps in cleaning the bowels. In case there is an accumulation of ama (toxins) in the colon, which is the case if the tongue is coated, fasting is beneficial. Use of oil or ghee (clarified butter) in the food helps in cleaning the stools. Massaging the whole body with oil once or twice a week and applying oil or ghee on the naval every day helps in curing constipation. Taking lemon juice mixed with warm water two or three times a day also cleans the bowels. One or two tea spoons of aloe gel can be taken twice a day. An enema with warm water in case of severe conditions gives immediate relief. Enema with half cup of sesame oil mixed with half cup warm water is beneficial in case of dry and hard stools. One tea spoon of psyllium husk with a cup of warm water at the time of going to bed during the night is a nice remedy for constipation. Very common ayurvedic medicine for constipation used by many ayurvedic physicians is triphala churna. It is a powder made by grinding three kinds of fruits or herbs. This powder is now available in many western countries. 3 to 6 gms. Of this powder taken at the time going to bed with warm water or milk helps in having a clean bowel motion the next morning.

NO! Please do not use Peroxide to whiten you teeth. Teeth Bleaching agents state they have hydrogen peroxide in them but it is somewhat of a different delivery system. Peroxide will clean you mouth but not whiten you teeth. Also, please do not use Bleach to do this either. I have seen it before and it is very dangerous as you could imagine.

Some of us are born with freckles and some acquire them, mostly due to sun exposure. They are not common on darker skin, but those of us with lighter complexion have to bear the brunt of these brown dot-like blemishes. If you’ve been waiting for information on easy and super-fast ways to get rid of freckles, you’ve just got lucky.

You can use natural lightening methods as well as freckle-removing treatments like lasers to get rid of freckles fast.

Natural lightening methods: 

  1. Lemon juice:  This natural bleach can lighten freckles fast. Problem is that lemon juice doesn’t work on freckles caused due to sun exposure as these are darker and more irregularly placed across the skin.
  2. Sour cream mask: Milk and sour cream are both very effective in combating freckles. Just make a mask and apply on your face and let it soak in. What happens here is that the lactic acid in milk peels away the outer skin on your face, lightening freckles.
  3. Fruit peels: You can mix fruits and apply on face. This will facilitate the natural acids in fruits to peel the top layer of skin and lighten freckles. Strawberries and kiwi fruit are very effective and so are cucumbers and apricots.

Treatments for removing freckles

  1. Lightening creams: These are easily available as well as extremely effective against both natural as well as sun induced freckles. Creams with liquorice extract and Aloe work best. Then there are creams with chemicals like hydroquinone and oxybenzone, which are also very effective, though they can sometimes have side effects.
  2. Microdermabrasion: What microdermabrasion does is that it removes the outer layer of skin through the action of a stream of tiny particles. This reduces the intensity of freckles.
  3. Chemical peels: These peels remove the top layer of skin and reduce freckles. Skin needs 2-3 days to heal after a chemical peel. Chemical peels are prepared in 3 different strengths:
    1. Superficial which use alpha or beta hydroxy acids
    2. Medium which uses trichloroacetic acid to penetrate deep into skin
    3. Deep peels which use higher concentrations of trichloroacetic acid or phenol to get rid of even more layers of skin.
  4. Laser treatment: Lasers offer a fast way to get rid of freckles. They work by burning the blood vessels underneath the freckles. This reduces the intensity of freckles and gives skin an even tone. The procedure is safe if done by a surgeon. It may cause some temporary bruising, swelling and redness.

A good way to stop freckles from marring the prettiness of your skin is to protect yourself from the sun. You can wear sunscreen or cover your skin with long sleeves. Both of these stop the darkening of old freckles or the formation of newer ones.

Excessive hair loss in males is due to hormone changes, stress, lack of sleep, unhealthy diet .Regulate your daily activities, stress, sleep, drink lots of water ,eat vegetable and fruits. And do some exercise daily. Apply Tugain 5% lotion on scalp. Tab containing Biotin salt will help

Issues with conception and long periods of trying to have a baby without much success do take a toll on couples. Apart from buying several fertility and pregnancy tests, the overbearing thought of infertility treatments and their expenses can also be quite stressful for a couple. While the concept of stress and how it affects each individual may be different, the one commonality is that it does affect every couple that undertakes this journey. There have been enough studies about stress affecting the results of an IVF and there seems to be some agreement that stress does not affect the outcome one way or the other.

  1. Overall well-being: Stress is definitely a problem for our overall well-being but there is little to worry when it comes to the success of your IVF cycle. Well, thanks to that there is one less thing to worry about. Since there are quite a few things you worry about once a cycle has been completed, the common thing you will hear from everyone around you is to de-stress. For one thing, the drugs that go with such treatments make everything so much more magnified and hence every small thought is magnified ten-fold while on the treatment.

Obesity and weight gain can be a serious impediment as far as successful trials are concerned. It is not only females but males can also be seriously affected by obesity. The sperm count can be drastically low in those that are overweight.

A healthy amount of exercise, a healthy diet that is rich in iron, minerals and fatty acids, a happy and positive attitude can go a long way in helping you in the process of getting pregnant.

1.Use amla (gooseberry) juice on scalp and also to drink. 2.Mix curry leaves with coconut oil and heat up and let it cool. Wheat Germ oil to massage your head at night. You can also put some fenugreek powder in the oil, heat the oil a bit and apply it on scalp for hairfall, whitening and dandruff. 3.Apply hair packs like Egg with Yogurt, Banana. 4.Have lots of green leafy vegetables and fruits rich in Vitamin C. 5.Protein is the most important element for maintaining hair health. Make sure your diet in protein rich sources like eggs, fish, chicken, soyabean, sprouts, pulses and grains 6.Zinc, iron & copper promote healthy hair. Some sources of this are – eggs, whole grains, all types of seeds like flaxseed, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, Dry fruits and nuts etc.
