You are in a very complicated situation: having bipolar can increase your sex drive to very high levels. In your case it has stoked the desire but not the performance. In any case seeking love for your sister-in-law is not permissible and it cannot be one-way, either. Fortunately, she does not know it is a blessing. Neither should you think that marrying someone else to forget her is going to solve the problem: you seem like you cannot fulfill your sexual desires and cannot consummate the marriage. So can you see how complicated your problem is? first things first; you need to see how well your treatment is working out for you. Secondly, you must work with a counselor too to maximize the benefits of combined therapies. You must also discuss your sexual fantasies with the counselor and get some guidance as to how to handle it. In a probable situation you may be asked to leave this house or ask the brother and his wife to shift to another home! you must also discuss if the sexual problems you are having is a result of the effects of the medication, and see if alternative medications may be tried. For you to be in a position to marry someone, you must get well and have proper employment etc. The starting of a family entails some genetic counseling, where it may ill-advised to have children. I really respect you for having kept your control around your sister-in-law, and it is recommended take effective action to maintain it so. Bipolar can be a crippling disease if not treated, and if treated early, the prognosis is good. Comply with all the medical prescriptions and work in tandem with a counselor for a long time and learn coping skills and techniques to handle the daily challenges you will face. There are certain adaptations that will suit you during the elation phase and there are certain behaviors that are required during the depressed phases. In the meantime you can do certain things that will give you benefits anyway. Emotional therapy will alleviate a lot of the problems faced in this condition because it is a mood disorder. You need to particularly look at your levels of anger both for its reasonableness and to express it in appropriate manner. I suspect that much of this anger may have origins in early childhood that you may never be aware of now. Talk to your parents and explore that angle. This information will help the counselor too. Also you will need to check whether there is any genetic factor involved. You must exercise regularly, eat healthily and sleep normally too. If your motivation and cooperation is good much can be achieved. You must have a time-structured schedule filled with interesting and reasonable activities and it must be monitored for compliance and delivery. The reason I say this is that many times you will be inclined to have grandiose notions and confidently believe that you can do without the medication, and other things like marrying your sister-in-law. This will set you back many months in the treatment and delay and sabotage the recovery: forewarned you are forearmed. If this combination of medication with therapy is maintained for at least three years without any episodes or breakdowns, it is possible to taper the medication in consonance with the doctor.

Only by using strong will power and avoiding all situations where you feel like smoking, chewing tobacco or drinking or using drugs/ weed, avoiding friends who smoke and diverting mind by reading or chewing a gum, like NICORETTE and taking a walk when you crave for a smoke can all help. You can chew Nicorette gum which is nicotine replacement. There are medicines available. Which can be prescribed if asked personally.

Everday evening I am feeling too depressed and I don' t know how to mean it and even my mind gets blank is there any solution for this problem please in from me it' s really like being in hell

Hypnotherapist, DCS, BSIC, Advanced Trainee of Transactional Analysis, Advanced Skills in Counselling
Psychologist,
Please meet a psychiatrist and a professional counsellor who will help you overcome your feelings of depression and blankness. It can be scary for some people and often need external support initially to help them on the path to recovery. What you can do meanwhile is that indulge in any activity which makes you happy and fulfilled and is meaningful and closer to your dreams of your future. Also do activities that relax you mentally and physically like yoga, meditation, gym, walking, hobbies etc. Keep in the company of cheerful and progressive people, who might help you to look at the brighter side of life and also look at problems objectively and a way to learn and grow in life rather than as a hurdle in your happiness. Take care of your diet, sleep, water intake as they play a big role in depression. Look for positive meaning in anything that has not worked out for you in your life. Every experience has a good and bad side to it. You need to see both and remember that in life there will be ups and downs and it' ll not be a smooth flowing life always. Take care. You can also see a homeopath or an ayurvedic doctor along with a counsellor.

One of my friend is drinking alcohol daily, his addicted to alcohol, smoking also his not able to stop it, kindly suggest me how it's stop it permanently.

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd

There are some medicines that help with smoking cessation. But with the drinking the medication involves your cousin’s full knowledge and cooperation. He may consult a psychiatrist regarding this. Now making him stop, is a very difficult and near impossible task. Even if it appears that you have succeeded, I can guarantee it will end up a failure: his willingness is paramount to his recovery, which you say is fortunately there. The combination of alcohol and smoking is deadly for his health. I am so glad that he is seeking to get rid of these habits and that will play a major role in his recovery. He must stop them both, abruptly and immediately. If he thinks that he will find it very difficult, then admit him to a hospital and let him go for de-addiction: which normally lasts for about two weeks. Then follow that up with addiction counseling from a professional for at least three years to completely get rid of these habits. If this is also not enough, then admit him into a de-addiction center and let him stay there for at least 6 months and after that attend counseling with a professional. There are medicines that help with the smoking and drinking just to ease the initial craving. Ultimately, it is his will power and the support that he receives from the medical fraternity and his close and dear ones. He must also learn to substitute and deal with the oral need, a rigid value system, the script issue, and of course look at all the genetic factors to plan a strategy not to get into what is called ‘cross addictions’ i.e. another form of addiction that may appear alright but is in fact as bad as his primary addiction. The center or hospital and the counselor will advise and guide him on several measures and precautions he will need to take to stay with his resolve. Even after whichever treatment approach he chooses, he must attend AA meetings, and his family must also attend some Al-anon meetings to help them deal with their own issues regarding his alcoholism and to support him too in the recovery process. This fabulous decision will benefit him firstly, and his entire family. He is taking action that will have major bearing to many lives.
