This is mostly varicose .Varicose veins are caused by weakened valves and veins in your legs. Normally, one-way valves in your veins keep blood flowing from your legs up toward your heart. When these valves do not work as they should, blood collects in your legs, and pressure builds up. The veins become weak, large, and twisted.

How Homeopathy Helps Treat Varicose Veins?

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad

Tip Image

Varicose veins are known to be a very common problem, which result in the inflammation of veins in the body. Veins are the blood vessels, which are responsible for the transfer of deoxygenated blood from the different parts of the body to the heart. Because the blood does not contain oxygen, it has a bluish tinge. As a result varicose veins are most likely to appear bluish when swollen.

This condition is quite common in old people and some are even likely to develop slight ulcers in the vein.

Homeopathic treatment for varicose veins

Certain Homeopathic drugs are said to work wonders for this condition, as they not only offer pain relief, but also make the veins more elastic. This helps with effective circulation and thus, the swelling reduces. The following is a list of some homeopathic medicines that work best to cure varicose veins.

  1. Hamamelis: It is known to be the best cure for varicose veins. It effectively stops any sort of bleeding from the veins. It also offers relief from pain and from a sensation of heaviness of the legs.
  2. Pulsatilla: This medicine is greatly recommended for women who develop varicose veins during the course of their pregnancy. It immediately does away with the pain. The medicine especially works well for swollen veins of the legs and the hands. Application of a cold pack also helps relieve the pain and reduce swelling.
  3. Calcarea: It is generally recommended to patients who have varicose veins, but do not suffer from any pain. In case the patient feels chilly and suffers from various other symptoms like some sort of burning sensation in the veins or cold hand and feet, calcarea is a good cure.
  4. Graphites: It is known to be a great cure for varicose veins that is accompanied with some amount of itching and cramping.
  5. Arnica: This homeopathic medicine effectively deals with varicose veins accompanied with symptoms like soreness and bruising. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Homeopath.

Please avoid standing for long or with legs hanging down. When you go to bed, place pillows underneath your legs. It will give relief. You can do all exercises without any worry. If still symptoms persist, consult vascular specialist.

Varicose veins And Homeopathy!

BHMS
Homeopath, Chennai
Varicose veins And Homeopathy!

Varicose veins is a common condition observed in practice whereby patients present with dilated, tortuous and elongated veins, especially on the legs. However, any vein in the body if gets twisted, stretched out or looses elasticity, could be labeled as varicose.

The veins have certain valve like mechanism which allows the blood to move upwards toward the heart. The valves have leaflets. When the leaflets loose their elasticity, the valves loose their capacity to push blood upwards; hence there is a back pressure which leads to further elongation of the veins. The veins also have reduced elasticity. As a result, the veins get ‘tortuous’ or twisted; as well as hardened. The veins, thus, become visible as zigzag vascular tubes, especially on legs.

Varicose veins affect especially the depending parts of the body that is lower limbs, which gets even worse when one tends to stand longer. People in the business of standing for long, such as sales people, policemen, plastic surgeon (tend to stand for hours during surgery), etc. Are risk of developing varicose veins

Homeopathy works very well for mild to moderate cases of varicose veins. It helps to reduce pain, control further varicosity, reduces swelling. Homeopathy also helps significantly in the cases which have varicose ulcers. Homeopathic treatment is strongly recommended for all cases of varicose veins.

Hello lybrate-user.a vitreo-retinal surgeon. It looks like your father is suffering from the consequences of diabetes. It is better to consult a neurologist. Also it is utmost importance that the blood sugar levels are under control and the medications are being taken regularly. As far as eyes is concerned, it is better to consult a vitreo-retinal surgeon. Diabetic retinopathy is a blinding and vision threatening but preventable and treatable disease. Therefore regular eye checks are mandatory which should be done periodically depending upon the severity of the retinopathy. Hope this helps you and your father but please due consult the concerned specialist.

Homeopathic Remedies For Varicose Veins

Homeopathic Remedies For Varicose Veins

Blood vessels are normally hidden under the skin, but a common complaint of people who stand for long durations of time is the appearance of bluish veins on their legs. In most cases, these veins appear twisted and enlarged. This condition is known as varicose veins. Pregnant women also often suffer from this condition.

Causes of Varicose Veins:

  1. Occupational: Standing long hours

  2. Genetic tendency

  3. Deep vein thrombosis: A condition which affects the valves of veins

  4. It might get triggered during pregnancy and due to obesity

Apart from the appearance of veins, the patient may experience swelling of the calf muscles, cramps in the legs and a feeling of heaviness. If left untreated, it could result in the formation of varicose ulcers and other complications.

Homeopathy is a holistic form of treatment that is very effective when it comes to varicose veins. This form of medication does not address only the symptoms, but also takes into account the personality of the person and his or her overall health.

It helps to reduce pain, control further varicosity, reduces swelling. Homeopathy also helps significantly in the cases which have varicose ulcers. Homeopathic treatment is strongly recommended for all cases of varicose veins except for those which are truly surgical in nature.

Homeopathy treats this condition by stimulating the immune system and restorative processes in the body while strengthening the walls of the veins. It has negligible side effects, but should ideally be taken under a qualified homeopath doctor’s guidance. Some homeopathic remedies used to treat varicose veins include the following:

  1. Hamamelis: Hamamelis is the most popular homeopathic medicine used to treat varicose veins. This is prescribed in cases where the veins bleed and there is a feeling of tiredness. The patient may also feel the leg muscles becoming sore or bruised and suffer from inflamed varices.

  2. Pulsatilla: This medicine is often prescribed to pregnant women suffering from varicose veins and in cases of varicose veins that are extremely painful. Some of the personality characteristics taken into account when prescribing Pulsatilla is intolerance to heat and thirstlessness.

  3. Calcarea: Painless cases of varicose veins are often treated with Calcarea. However, there may be a burning sensation in the varicose veins. The patient, in such cases, is usually obese, but malnourished and sweats excessively though his/her hands and feet stay cold.

  4. Graphites: Varicose veins that are excessively itchy can be treated with Graphites. It is also effective in cases where the patient suffers from cramps in the legs and other skin problems. Patients who benefit from Graphites for varicose vein treatment are often obese and suffer from constipation.

  5. Arnica: Arnica is often used to treat varicose veins that are sore and bruised. In such cases, the patient’s legs may also have blue–black discolouration and they may appear as if they had been beaten. Any kind of exertion aggravates the symptoms.

General Surgeon,
Varicocele on left side means requires USG abdomen to rule out renal mass whiçh can cause this rarely. If USG normal better go for surgery as future infertility can occur because of this. Surgery is paloma. Can be done laparoscopic or microscopic testicular vein ligation.

Hello Sir, myself busy Kumar Shaw I am suffering from varicose vein is there any treatment without surgery or operation. please reply. Thanks.

Surgery is only indicated when symptoms are troublesome like severe pain, leg ulcers, skin blackening etc. Few people want surgery for cosmetic reasons. If you do not want surgery then my advice is to keep your limb elevated, avoid prolong standing and sitting. Use compression stockings. For further queries you can contact me online. Thanks.

Doctor my leg is affected with varicose vein. And my leg is also wounded and riped .And a smell is been coming from it. What should we do.

MS - General Surgery
General Surgeon, Kanpur
Probably you have varicose veins with infected and discharging venous ulcer, you need to be examined and an ultrasound Doppler study or duplax scan to be done to know where is the defect and that has to be treated either by sclerotherapy or by laser or by open surgery, ulcer will heal then, by the time use compression bandage in 3 layers ang leg elevation as long as you can. Consult vascular surgeon. You can take a course of antibiotic.
