Dear Sir, I have been malnutrition since childhood. Initially I do not have much complications due to it. But now there are lots of complications like feeling dizziness, sluggish, weakness and lack of energy all time. It affects my day to day life work. I have also loss of appetite, constipation. I have made blood test, in reports I am Vitamin B-12 deficient and RBC level low. What should I do? What should be my diet chart. And supplement of Vitamin B-12? Can I completely recovered from this? Kindly suggest me to cope up with this. Thanks in advance.
Life changing tips to deal with allergy-
1st establish whether lingering sinusitis symptoms are a cold or allergy. It's easy to misdiagnose ourself 1 of the best indicators whether sinusitis is due 2 viral infection or allergy is duration of symptoms. Cold/flu symptoms caused by viral infection will clear up between few days up to a 1-2wk, but the symptoms of seasonal allergies last for months. If one experience sinusitis symptoms, such as headaches & congestion, a dr will differentiate between acute sinusitis, which lasts for less than 3wks & is often infectious, & chronic sinusitis can last for months & is mostly caused by allergies. An allergy will also most likely be accompanied by an itchy throat, eyes/ears. Take antihistamines before the beginning of pollen season; take your medication at least 30 minutes before heading outdoors. Clean & some more- The less dust, mites, moulds & pollen the better. Vacuum often, keep bed in sunlight to kill mites, consider replacing carpeted floors with hardwood or tiles & make sure that those often-overlooked nooks & crannies, such as skirting boards, are regularly wiped off. Be careful of mould, esp. in damp, rainy environments. Do not underestimate the use of a neti pot, steam / sinus rinse; Nasal irrigation is important sinus care, relieves congestion. Consult ENT dr for persistent cough. Take off your shoes, have shower & change clothes as u step inside house, to minimise the amount of pollens. A dehumidifier actually work better in mould allergy.
It can be both a stressful and fearful experience when dealing with thyroid problems. #Thyroiddisease is a common cause of hormonal imbalance in the body and occurs when the thyroid gland overproduces (hyperthyroidism) or underproduces (hypothyroidism) thyroid hormones. There are several other thyroid conditions, some benign and others more malignant, to which people are susceptible to such as thyroid nodules, thyroiditis, goiter, and thyroid cancer.
The most extreme cases, such as thyroid cancer and goiter, may require a more invasive treatment than medicinal thyroid treatment, which can mean partial or complete thyroid removal.
The thyroid is a butterfly-shaped hormonal gland located at the front base of your neck. It plays a major role in regulating your metabolism and the growth and maturation of the human body. Additionally, it assists in regulating various body functions by regularly releasing a stream of hormones to the bloodstream.
#Thyroidnodules are an abnormal growth of thyroid cells which form a lump on the thyroid gland and are an extremely common thyroid disease.
The presence of malignant nodules or tumors is the most common reason for thyroid surgery. However, even benign nodules can potentially be an issue if they grow too large and obstruct the throat or potentially stimulate the thyroid gland so that there is an overproduction of hormones, also known as hyperthyroidism. #Goiter, a thyroid condition in which the thyroid gland is abnormally large or swollen, may also interfere with throat function and is another reason for thyroid surgery.
#FNABC is must before operation and only expert histopathologist must do it.
#Lobectomy & #Thyroidectomy are 2 types of surgery routinely done. #Enucleation is done by many surgeons but should never be done.Lobectomy can be done under local anesthesia safely and securely. surgery for cancer should be done by only those who are experienced in it.
Quite often surgery are advised where only medical treatment can resolve or reduce thyroid nodule or goitre;hence second opinion and cross check should be done before surgery,so large no of operations can be avoided.Ethics and experience both are important and one may read #indications of surgery, through any search engine.
Laryngeal nerves and parathyroid needs great attention
What is new drum repair surgery?
Majority of patients coming with ear discharge or hole in ear drum or hearing loss when advised Tympanoplasty or Tympano-mastoidectomy ask what is new ear drum? Tympanoplasty means exploration of middle ear , removal of disease if there any and repair of ear drum &/or ossicles (3 tiny bones for hearing). New drum formation takes place after 3 wks or more, after we put temporalis fascia taken from behind & above pinna or perchondrium &/or cartilage as graft when disease demand only ,then mastiod bone (which is extension of middle ear cleft behind) is also drilled open or removed. Bones of hearing may be refashioned from existing ones if needed or may be cartilage or titanium etc prosthesis can be used to improve hearing. Successful operation means stoppage of discharge, closure of hole and improvement in hearing. Patient should not have complaints of persistent pain or itching hence preoperative nasal sinus and throat infections must be treated and pt must avoid cold exposure and infections. Head wash must be avoided for 3wks so also forceful blowing nose. However a valsalva exercise in absence of cold is beneficial. Microsurgery of ear today has very high success rate, done under local anaesthesia except in children and should not be feared. patient can go back to his/her town next day and resume work on day 3rd.
A sneeze, is a semi-autonomous, convulsive expulsion of air from the lungs through nose & mouth, usually caused by foreign particles (dust, pollen/other tiny particles in air) irritating the nasal mucosa; often happens suddenly & without warning. Sneezing is linked to sudden exposure to bright light, sudden change (fall) in temperature, breeze of cold air, a particularly full stomach, or viral infection, & can lead to the spread of disease. Sneezing typically occurs when foreign particles or sufficient external stimulants pass through the nasal hairs to reach the nasal mucosa, triggers the release of histamines, which irritate the nerve cells in the nose, resulting in signals being sent to the brain to initiate the sneeze, via Trigeminal nerve. Biological clocks - dictated by circadian rhythms - move in concert with the immune system, prompting timely sneezing bouts. Every time we go to sleep, our immune systems get a reset. Like the rest of our bodies, the system down shifts into a lower gear during this period during which we are fighting fewer outside invaders. Endogenous circadian rhythm in the immune system, generally tends to rev up in the later stages of sleep, but we do not notice until we wake. It looks like body has a sense of when it is about to wake up & greet the day & all of the allergens that come with it. People who suffer from bouts of sneezing at exactly the same time every day have problem in morning. Flu & viral inf, sinusitis, deviated septum, polyps, bleeding etc are common causes.

There is urgent need of #dietcorrection, walking, exercise need based continuous education for every single #patient visiting any fraternity doctor.we will have to #cut it on social media time spending so as to come in terms with time shortage.
Let us do minor corrections ex if you are taking #poha, reduce "#sev", take only one #Fried item a day say if one kachori. Say no to other items. Reduce ghee on chappati and in rice. Start drinking tea/coffee/milk without sugar or few crystals only. Reduce alcohol or beverages or juices and strict no to fried snacks.
We must check on #oilconsumption which is 600 ml per month per person.
Do not wait for diabetes or HBP to occur. #Overconfidence that nothing will happen to me will be detrimental.
Let us organize such most important lectures in social groups etc.
India is only country though not in rich category but diabetics statistics higher than rich nations.
Start some purposeful walking in between.
#Doctors themselves must be beware that they have to practice too with teaching patients.
In short control on diet quantity increase usage of salad for stomach filling. Start saying goodbye to faulty family and traditional eating habits.
Eating too frequently is biggest denominator. Old time three time eating is wonderful. Avoiding eating in night. #Avoid forcing or manwar tradition.
