Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with whitening procedures or artificial enamel filling or root canal treatment. You may consult me in person too. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Bad oral hygiene, Gum or periodontal infections, dry mouth, smoking and tobacco use are some of the contributing factors for bad breath medically known as Halitosis. Ask your friend to: 1.) Brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste, use tongue cleaner. Change brush in 3 months. 2.) Use dental floss regularly. 3.) Keep the mouth moist. He can regularly drink water or keep non sugar edible item in mouth to keep saliva flowing. 4.) Avoid smoking and tobacco. 5.) Use Listerine mouthwash twice a day. 6.) In case of any gum disease, get a dental checkup done.

You can exercise for healthier gums as well. Gently bite down so as to make sure that your teeth make a clinking sound when they meet. Repeat this 30 to 40 times continuously. This exercise will stimulate the flow of blood and will keep your gums healthy.
