Detoxification Diet - 5 Things You Must Remember!

A detoxification diet can be mighty effective in losing weight as well as getting the system cleaned. While there is a lot of opinion about the diet itself, too much restriction on food can lead to monotony. The trick is to have a right mix of everything. The right balance of fibre, protein and other nutrient is necessary for the healthy functioning of the body. Here is a list of things to remember while following a detoxification diet:

  1. The right amount of protein: Getting the right amount of protein is essential for the body to function properly. The body needs around 20-35 gms of protein in about every four-five hours. It boils down to 3 eggs, half a cup of chicken breast and half a cup of black beans as far as food consumption is concerned. It makes sense to stick to a light protein such as legumes, white portion of the egg, tofu, and poultry. An adult requires a minimum of 60-90 grams of protein on a daily basis. The right choice of protein in terms of taste and calorie will ensure that the detoxification diet can be stuck to.
  2. Include carbohydrate: Carbohydrate should get a place in the detoxification diet. The body requires a minimum of 120 grams carbohydrates on a daily basis. It can be easily achieved with a balanced diet. Certain food elements such as legume and whole grain provides enough carbohydrate for the body to function throughout the day. Some other good sources of carbohydrate include berries, quinoa, and millet.
  3. Keep a calorie count: In general, an adult woman needs around 1500 calories per day and a man requires around 1800 calories per day. An individual should aim for a calorie consumption of 350 during breakfast, 450 during lunch and 500 at dinner. Midday snacks should not comprise more than 150 calories on a daily basis. Fast foods containing processed fat and carbohydrate should be eliminated from the detoxification diet.
  4. Water: While a good detoxification can show fast results, keeping the body hydrated is necessary for the detoxification to work. Apart from hydration, water helps the body to eliminate the waste and ensure the smooth functioning of the kidney. For detoxification to work the kidney should be in great condition. Water also helps to wash away certain unwanted element from the body. A minimum of 3-4 litres of water should be consumed on a daily basis for detoxification to work.
  5. A healthy lifestyle: For detoxification diet to work, it is necessary to follow a healthy lifestyle. Smoking and drinking should be stopped. 8 hours of sleep and a daily exercise schedule will help an individual to stick to the detoxification diet and get achieve immediate results from it. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Dietitian/Nutritionist.

If your cycles are regular then ovulation date is mid-cycle that is 30/09 to 3-4/10 is most fertile.

if I avoid ipill then will it be ok for me not to worry for pregnancy as it wud be protected sex and can I have papaya after having safe sex in order to eliminate pregnancy coz I have used ipill the time before I had sex but I don wanna use it coz it's effects in long run and as m 21 so will it work.

if it's safe sex u can avoid I pill..but plz keep in mind that condoms have some rare failures. If u don't want to take I pill u can calculate ur safe period n avoid sex during unsafe period (day 8 to 18 if ur cycles r regular ) eating papaya has no proven benefit.

We all hate having snotty noses, sore throats, and winter bugs that inevitably get into our systems, as the weather turns colder, but have you ever considered that there might be easy ways to clear up all the phlegm that’s obstructing your airways and making life uncomfortable? worry no more – here are five solutions for you to get rid of any offending mucus build-up in your airways as soon as possible:


1. Spice up your diet


Adding spices to your diet doesn’t only boost your immune system – it also helps your body with clearing out all the nasty stuff, not least any congestion in your nasal passages in your lungs. Add small amounts of garlic, oregano, turmeric, onions, and ginger, to your regular diet. Seeing as christmas is just around the corner, you can also try spicing some apple sauce with cloves, nutmeg or cinnamon.

All the foods i’ve just mentioned contain strong antibacterial properties, which help keep the winter bugs well away. If you have children, you might want to consider temporarily cutting out dairy from their diet and giving them multivitamins or immune boosters for a few days until the phlegm clears up.

2. Sleep well


Note that a blocked nose is always much worse at night-time, making it difficult to breathe and causing you to snore. Consider a saline spray and/or nose aspirators in order to keep your airways clear of phlegm. Another soothing way of clearing your airways is to inhale steam from a bowl of boiling water. You could even add a warm bath at the end of the day to your routine if you find that you’re consistently congested.


3. Get loads of fresh air


The colder air of the winter months tends to make all of us spend a lot more time indoors, but the reality is that for the sake of our health, we still need to ensure we get enough fresh air. Regardless of how cold it is outside, you’ll be fine if you wrap up in suitably warm clothing. In fact, taking a brisk walk is one of the best ways of drying out mucus and phlegm.

Fresh air opens up your lungs and increases blood flow, and this means that any bugs lurking in your system can be flushed out much more quickly than if you were to spend nine hours a day indoors.

4. Keep your bowels moving!


Many people don’t actually realize this, but constipation can hinder your immune function, thus leaving you more susceptible to illness. The usual cause of a sluggish digestive system is food stagnating in the intestines, which in turn can lead to toxic build-up, poor elimination and increased mucus formation.

These symptoms can be alleviated by drinking more water and eating foods which contain plenty of natural fiber, such as seasonal greens and fresh fruit.



5. Make your own phlegm-busting cordial


Here's how:

1. Place a few sprigs of thyme in a teapot.

2. Add a pint of boiling water.

3. Throw in a few sticks of cinnamon bark and several slices of freshly-chopped ginger.

4. Leave to infuse for about 10-15 minutes.

5. Once the water has cooled, strain and mix with a jar of good-quality honey.

6. Add roughly half a bag of brown sugar.

7. Heat the mixture in a saucepan until it begins to thicken.

8. Leave the resulting syrup to cool and store in the refrigerator.

Take a teaspoon of this syrup every morning, or add it to warm water infused with lemon juice for a delicious bedtime drink.

I am afraid that I am pregnant. I didn't had sex only the penis was inserted but intercourse didn't happen. Should I take any pills?

It iis common in pregnancy. Ask her to drink atleast 5 lit water in 24 hrs. Also drink fruit juice nimbu sharbat. Ask her to sleep with legs elevated on a takiya.

I did abortion in 14 weeks due to absence of heart beat of my baby. Before 2 month ago I did use heart beat was 148. And right overy cyst 2.54 cm.but in 14 weeks when I did use heart beat absent cyst also absent. Doctor told genetic problem. I took medicine gestofit200 mg Sr daily 2tab and took Lupihcg5000iu inj 4 weeks. But my question is why it happened and next when I will take pregnancy. Now what to do.

Its right, it had been some genetic defect in fetus, now avoid pregnancy for 6 months and later on start pregnancy plan after discussing with your personal gynaecologist. If you conceive in the mean time, you can continue, no worries .Relax.

There are maximum chances of getting pregnant in the mid cycle days  of menstrual cycle. If your cycle is of 28 days (1st day to be counted on the day menstrual flow starts) the 14th day bears the maximum chances of getting pregnant. On the both sides of 14th day chances of conceiving gradually decreases with minimum chance (not zero) near 1st and 28th day of cycle.
