Working out is more of a habit than anything else. While making a start is the easy part, continuing it for a longer duration to get effective results is the hard thing. The trick is to have the same amount of motivation and enthusiasm going every day.

Here is a list of tricks that will convince you to follow your workout schedule on a daily basis:

  1. Compete with others: A goal of getting fit by x date may not be the best motivation. Instead, compete with others. Take part in a CrossFit competition or an obstacle race. There are competitions which take money to enrol. Participating in events like this will help you to be more focused in the endeavour to compete with others.
  2. Motivational songs: Songs are a great tonic for people who have just started working out. Get all your favorite songs on your iPod and hit the ground running. Make sure you keep changing songs every alternate day. Listening to the same songs every day while working out can be monotonous.
  3. Put personal stuff on the line: You can keep the money, movie tickets or a basketball to your friend’s place on the condition that if you manage to reach your goals, you will take it back. This will convince you to put your best efforts while working out. People tend to work more when they know that personal belongings are on the line. If you are tech savvy, you can bet on apps such as pact and dietet.com. Both these apps work on similar lines.
  4. Workout for a cause: Self-motivation is a hard thing to achieve. You can sweat for a charity of your choice. This way you feel accountable to a lot of many people who are counting on you. The fear of letting someone down will convince you to workout daily and put your best efforts every day.
  5. Let go of your sleeping clothes: The comfortable pyjamas or the cozy blanket can kill your motivation of getting up early in the morning. One good way to tackle this is to sleep in your workout clothes. This will constantly keep you reminded about the job in hand.
  6. Click pictures: The scale reading of your waist can be deceiving. Click pictures instead and compare them every month. This way you will see a visible result, which in turn will motivate you to give your best.
  7. Let someone monitor you: Working out alone can be boring. Let a friend or an instructor monitor you for the first few months. This way you will be under constant supervision and answerable to someone in case you miss your workout on odd days.

Of course you should have dinner after a workout and it's better to have a protein rich food, because your muscles will be requiring proteins to repair themselves.

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold.

i suggest you easy method of weight gain just follow it for year you will gain weigh defiantly 1. start exercise regularly for 3 month and then after 3 month leave it for 3 month at the time of exercise your diet will increase but same diet continue after 3 month when you stop exercise so thats why your weight will increase automatically now we discus about diet 2.take dates with milk in the morning breakfast 3.triphala kadha 4 tsp beore lunch and dinner 4.amala juice 4 tsp + 2tsp sugar + 2tsp honey in the morning empty stomach this take for 1.5 month only your weight gain will take definitely note=avoid over eating ...... What is the reason for your knee stiffness? you might be having knee arthritis which is causing cramps in your leg. Another possibility is deep vein thrombosis. I recommend that you get yourself thoroughly checked by an orthopedic surgeon. Hot bag and pain relieving gels can give you some relief.

Do muscle building exercise.Don't skip meals.Eat frequently with extra amount.Use whole cream milk.Take dense fruits,vegetables.Include more fish,egg,meat in diet.Add extra healthy fats in cooking.Drink lots of water but not just before or during meals.Avoid smoking,alcohol.These are common but for more details consult me on Lybrate privately.

You already seem to be suffering from Dengue. No need to panic. Consult a Doctor, they will give right advice. Drink lots of fluids, water, juices, coconut water, lassi, buttermilk, milk, nimbu pani, soups. This is the only way to improve your platelets. There is no need to take any medicine for Dengue. Your platelets may fall upto 50,000 then bounce back. Till this point its okay. However if they fall below 50,000 then you should consult a doctor. Usually they admit patients below 40,000. Important - Get your platelet count done everyday. Fluids is the answer to Dengue... If you feel nausea, then take small sips... but keep having liquids.

Hi welcome - you can assess yourself once you are affected regularly by cough & cold, infections of various types, fever may times even in a month, some times t. B or more chronic disorders. So I advice to have more protein if within 45 years of age of any male or female (here age is written for the patient). Max. Vegetables, fruits 3-4 times, sleep tight 8 hours, high quality carbs like khchdi with some protein (veg /non veg any), dairy foods, curd, fruit juices, more electrolytes, water etc. Mostly need protein, multivitamins, all rest all nutrients in a specific ratio.
