Dr. Aditya Murgai

Dr. Aditya Murgai has completed his neurology residency from JIPMER, India in 2013 and later worked as an assistant professor in neurology at a tertiary care, teaching institute in New Delhi. In 2014, he pursued a postdoctoral research fellowship in movement disorders at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center, USA, managing clinical trials in movement disorders. Later, he worked as a consultant Neurologist at the Asian institute of medical sciences, Faridabad. His passion for movement disorders led him to Canada where he completed a clinical fellowship in movement disorders at the center of excellence for Parkinson's disease, Western University, Canada. Currently, he is working as a consultant neurologist and movement disorder specialist at Zydus Hospital, Ahmedabad. Dr. Aditya Murgai has clinical expertise in managing a wide spectrum of movement disorders. He has extensive experience in using botulinum toxin for a variety of conditions including dystonia, tremors, drooling, and spasticity. He has experience of more than 1000 sessions of botulinum toxin injections. He has managed and followed a large number of advanced Parkinson’s disease patients receiving deep brain stimulation and Duodopa therapy. He is also well trained in deep brain stimulation programming for Parkinson’s disease, essential tremors, orthostatic tremors, and dystonia. He has a passion for clinical neurophysiology and a sound understanding of signal processing techniques.
