How to reduce my weight Is there any chance for increasing the weight due to medicines.
Your weight is determined by 3 things first is your digestion system second is your metabolism and the third one is your immune system to keep all these 3 things in best possible way you have to follow a diet plan but before following a diet plan you can start with 90 minutes walk everyday and play sports in evening young people have high metabolism rate so they can gain weight easily and can also reduce weight easily secondly start eating triphala churan in morning empty stomach 5 gram quantity with lukewarm water, triphla will help you in losing weight thirdly make sure that you are not eating junk foods, oily food extra spicy food eat home cook food regularly and eat a little less than your hunger specially at night. Eat regular almonds, almond is a wonder foods and apart from that it helps in losing weight you have to put almost 7 to 8 almonds in water at night and eat those almonds in morning 45 minutes after eating triphala churan. Consult me privately for your customised health plan and diet plans with both of these things I will provide exercise regimen to you free of cost.

Vit d3 is made in our body when our skin is exposed to sun. Vit b12 deficiency is quiet common in vegetarians. You need to take b12 capsules. Take more of whole grains in your diet.

Wht should I do to increase hunger.
Fresh fruits like oranges can effectively treat anorexia by stimulating your appetite. Oranges will help boost your digestive health. It is important to cleanse your digestive system, as without it, you will not feel hungry. In addition, the uplifting smell of oranges and orange peels helps calm the nerves and fight depression and anxiety. •Eat a few oranges or drink a glass of fresh orange juice a few times daily to increase appetite. To make the juice more delicious, add rock salt, lemon juice and a dash of black pepper. •To improve your mood, inhale the aroma of orange peels.

Vitamin D And It's Impact

MD Homeopath, DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Gurgaon

Well, everybody nowadays from infants to adults is suffering from vitamin deficiency with a result infants are suffering from rickets a condition where their bones get crooked / changed in shape like a bow provide instability and similarly in adults lack of calcium results in weak bones and so pains/instability. Actually vit-d is a medium which acts as a catalyst helps in absorption of ca++ and in any condition where the concentration of ca++ goes below the minimum optimum requirements it releases the ca++ from bones to obtain different metabolic activities making them weak not only physical but mental strength as role of ca++ is to improve our concentration level as well. As everybody knows UV rays are must for maintaining the vit-d and so is calcium that is one part abd taking colicalciferol or d-rise to maintain ca++ level is another aspect and for how long as we people experience the same deficiency again and again after some time so my concern is not the fulfilment of these alone is going to help you. Maintaining the overall processing of your body has to be kept in mind because almost all the functioning of our body are interlinked like any abnormality in pituitary gland can affect your thyroid / parathyroid /gonadotropic and so on. So if your parathyroid are meant to regulate sodium levels so is to affects your kidneys, affecting your blood pressure etc. So maintaining all the parameters are the ultimate key instead of focussing on over just one part and we are proud to say before prescribing any medicine we have to cover the overall constitution of a patient in homeopathy and that varies from person to person i. E. Individualisation.

Hi, cramp like pain is caused by exercise. But if you are suffring from pain with swelling and tenderness it may be another cause like (trauma, o. A, bursitis and of course vit d deficiency also caused knee pain. Becz it is a crucial nutrient for strong bone, and it help to regulate the immune system. So there are some way to maintain your vit d in balance. 1- stand in the morning sun light atleast 10-15 min. 2- take fish (good source of vit d). 3- take fortified food like cereals, milk, cheese, and soya product. 4- and last take proper medication.

Dengue - Important Information

Dengue fever is a painful mosquito-borne disease. It is caused by any one of four types of dengue virus, which is transmitted by the bite of an infected female Aedes aegypti mosquito.

Previous dengue infection with similar serotype provides immunity but different serotype causes more severe infection.

Common symptoms of dengue include high fever, runny nose, a mild skin rash, cough, and pain behind the eyes and in the joints. However, some people may develop a red and white patchy skin rash followed by loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, etc.

Patients suffering from dengue should seek medical advice, rest and drink plenty of fluids. Paracetamol can be taken to bring down fever and reduce joint pains. However, aspirin or ibuprofen should not be taken since they can increase the risk of bleeding.

The risk of complications is in less than 1% of dengue cases and, if warning signals are known to the public, all deaths from dengue can be avoided.

Lab Test

NS1
Best test is NS1, specific
Cannot be false +ve
Is + from day 1 to 7 ideally.
If on day 1 is -ve, repeat it next day.
Always ask for ELISA based NS1 tests as card tests are misleading.

IgG & IgM dengue

In a pt with reduced platelets and looking "sick" on day 3 or 4 of illness, a very high titre of IgG with borderline rise in IgM signifies secondary dengue. These pts are more prone to complications.
In primary dengue IgG becomes + at end of 7 days, while IgM is + after day 4.

Immature Platelet fraction (IPF)

A very useful test in Dengue for patients with thrombocytopenia.

If IPF in such a pt is > 10%, despite a platelet count of 20, 000, he is out of danger & platelets will rise in 24 hrs.

If its 6%, repeat the same next day. Now if IPF has increased to 8% his platelets will certainly increase within 48 hrs.

If its less then 5%, then his bone marrow will not respond for 3-4 days & may be a likely candidate for platelet transfusion.

Better to do an IPF even with borderline low platelet count.

A low Mean Platelet volume or MPV means platelets are functionally inefficient and such patients need more attention.

The primary cause of death in patients suffering from dengue is capillary leakage, which causes fluid deficiency in the intravascular compartment, leading to multi-organ failure. Platelet deficiency is not the cause of death in most of the patient suffering from Dengue .

According to International guidelines, unless a patient’s platelet count is below 10,000 or there is spontaneous, active bleeding, no platelet transfusion is required. The outbreak of dengue in the City and Hospital beds are full and families are seen running around in search of platelets for transfusion. However what most people do not realize is that the first line of treatment for dengue is not platelet transfusion. In fact, it does more harm than good if used in a patient whose counts are over 10,000.

At the first instance of plasma leakage from the intravascular compartment to the extravascular compartment, fluid replacement amounting to 20 ml per kg body weight per hour must be administered. This must be continued till the difference between the upper and lower blood pressure is over 40 mmHg, or the patient passes adequate urine. This is all that is required to treat the patient. Giving unnecessary platelet transfusion can make the patient more sick.

“While treating dengue patients, physicians should remember the ‘Formula of 20' i.e. rise in pulse by more than 20; fall of BP by more than 20; difference between lower and upper BP of less than 20 and presence of more than 20 hemorrhagic spots on the arm after a tourniquet test suggest a high-risk situation and the person needs immediate medical attention.”

Read WHO guidelines for further fluid management strategies & Hematocrit monitoring.

In diabetes portion size of food matters. Normal person eats around 3-4 times day, diabetic person should eat atleast 6 times per day but small meals at a time. Long fasting causes high glycemic variation in blood sugar levels which is bad for diabetic person. He should carry some fruits like apple or oranges which he can have in free time in office.

Join a Gym and start - 1.BALANCED DIET 2.EARLY MORNING BRISK MORNING WALK for 30 minutes and 10 minutes evening walk after Dinner 3.DRINK 6-8 Glasse of water daily. As 60% of our body is made of water, it acts as a carrier of essential nutrients inside our body. Loosing as little as 5% of body's weight as water can cause headache, fatigue and lower your muscle strength. To stay healthy, an adult should drink at least 8 glasses of water everyday. Balanced Diet= 60% Carbohydrates + 20% Fats + 20% Proteins 1. Carbohydrates: Our main source of energy. Stored in liver and muscles. Carbohydrates are used the most by our body duringexercise. Hence, it is important for people who exercise regularly to consume a diet rich in carbohydrates. (a) Instant/rapid carbohydrates energy sources: Banana, Milk, Sweets, Sugarcane juice. (b) Slow carbohydrates energy sources: Beans, Bread, Cereals, Potato, Pulses, Rice. 2. Proteins: Essential for growth, repair of muscle, skin, hair and body tissues. Protein deficiency leads to low immunity, hairfall, feeling of tiredness. Proteins are not stored in our body as any excess protein is converted to energy or fat. Hence, a person requires protein intake every day. When the body does not get enough carbohydrates to fuel itself, it falls back on protein bank. That is why people who follow starvation diets or go on fasting lose muscle tissue. (a) Major protein sources: Egg white(white portion), Milk, Soybeans/Soymilk, Fish, Cheese, Tofu. (b) Other protein sources: Beans with wheat, Nuts, Curd, Yogurt (Dahi). 3. Fats: Required and healthy when taken in small amounts. Excess fat leads to weight gain, increase in bad cholesterol (LDL) and heartproblems (a) Major fats sources: Egg yolk (Yellow portion), Avocados, Whole Milk, Butter, Cheese, Nuts. (b) Other fats sources: Corn, Vegetable/Olive oil, Biscuits, Flaxseeds(San Beej). 4. Vitamins and Minerals: Critical for normal functioning of organs and processes within our body. They do not provide energy directly but work behind the scenes to break down food into energy. 5. Fiber: It helps retain water and in making our stools softer to avoid constipation. Intake should be 25 to 35 grams a day. 6. Calories: A measure of how much energy food or drink contains. On an average, a man needs around 2,000 calories a day and a woman 1700 calories a day to maintain his weight and good health. Number varies by person depending upon weight, age and how active the lifestyle is. 7. Guideline: Each day have 3 main meals, 2 snacks, 5 pieces of fruit and at least 1 glass of milk.
