As I am overweight which is not good. So I want your help to lose my weight pls tell what should I do to lose my weight?
1. To lose weight/belly fat make healthy food choices and add more exercise/activity. 2. Add 2-3 Fruits per day taken 30 mins before meals. 3. ‎Eat plain roti/rice with dal with a bowl of salad in each meal. 4. Cut down Sweets/Biscuits/Colas / Fruit Juice from your diet. 5. Completely eliminate Puris/Parathas/Pizzas/Burgers/Fried Rice etc 6. Exercise daily - 'Intense' Cardio for 40-60 mins. This will keep you slim and trim.

I am 22 years old I am suffering from high bp or thyroid I am gaining too much weight my height is 5'3 inch and weigh is 62 kg. How can I control my weight or which diet plan I should follow which is helpful in high bp or thyroid both. please help.

Thyroid is taken care by the daily thyroid medicine which is recommended by the doctor. As for BP, there can be many causes, however you can control BP by taking following steps 1. Relaxation, Pranayam, Meditation daily for 10-20 mins 2. Remain calm, do not get angry 3. Cut down salt from your food 4. Stop all papad, pickles, tea, coffee, colas, sauces, namkin, chips etc since they contain high levels of salt/caffiene 5. Sleep in time and catch sleep for 6-8 hours daily. 6. Eat meals on time. 7. For meditation you can use apps like 'Calm' or 'Insight Timer'

To gain weight you can follow these steps. 1. Take two fruits per day and one glass fruit juice. 2. Eat 20 almonds & 5 dates daily. Drink full cream milk, curd, lassi, banana shakes etc. 3. If your are Non veg you can have more eggs, chicken, fish. 4. For Veg - have more dals, rajma, kabuli chana, soya beans etc. 5. Avoid junk food and colas. Avoid chips and other namkeen. 6. No need to take artificial supplements. Natural diet is best. 7. Go for 30 mins walks / exercise / yoga daily.

I am 43 years old male. My weight is 105 my height is 5.8 I want to reduce my weight. I have no thyroid and sugar. I had hyper tension with control of one tablet daily a day. I play shuttle one hour daily. My food menu is breakfast 3 idly with coffee, 11 am black tea, 2 pm lunch limited, 5 pm coffee and dinner at 9 with 3 dosa. My weight not reduced. Usually persons with high weight eat simple controlled diet for most days but over eat during marriage functions, weekends, getogethers, parties, sweets, chocolates, biscuits etc. Excessive weight has to come from excessive calories intake. You need to count all your calories from all sources on all days including party foods, and then you will be able to identify the root cause of the problem. Use Myfitnesspal app to count your calories. Do it for one month and then you can spot the excess calories coming in. That is what you need to modify.

Most fad diets are not compatible to Indian Eating style hence they may work for short duration, but when you get back to your 'normal' diet, then you get back to your 'normal weight' Mostly people enter such diets with short term goals hence they don't work for long term. Try to focus on changes in your lifestyle which is leading to excess weight. Unless that core problem is solved, nothing changes. Its better you go on to a proper 1500 calorie balanced diet, that can help you lose about 3 kgs a month, so that in a years time you can be fit and fine.

Rice or roti taken in limited quantities do not create any problems in weight loss. You can have them. But it is better to have either roti or rice in one meal. If both are taken together in one meal, then you may tend to over eat. Always have more salad with meals and one fruit prior to meals. This will help in weight loss.

Take balance diet of complex carbs like brown rice or multigrain atta, millets etc. Take variety of veggies and fruits daily. Take more nuts like almonds. For proteins you can take dals, sprouts, beans, eggs, milk, chicken etc. Stop having fried foods and sweets. You don't have to eat for two people, you just have to eat a balance nutritious diet. You just need about 450 calorie extra per day during pregnancy. That is all.

1. Thyroid medicine will take care of thyroid part. 2. You got to simplify your diet and focus more on fruits, veggies and nuts etc 3. Indian households overfeed the mothers with excessive ghee and sweets, fried foods etc. 2. You got to switch to a simpler diet that has no more than four teaspoons of oil, sugar in a day. 3. Take three fruits daily before meals 4. You can include these foods to reduce cholesterol - oats, almonds, flax seeds, rajma, kabuli chana 5. Reduce biscuits, fried foods, cakes, pastries, noodles, burgers or any other such junk food. 6. Consult a dietician for a customised diet program.
