Being aware is a good step towards solving the problem. Try to understand the triggers for it. What makes you eat. What time of the day. Are you under any stress. Try to reduce quantities / frequency slowly. Else make sure that you don't store any raw rice in your house. Replace all rice meals with millets, wheat for few weeks and see what happens. Try meditation and mind control exercises.

You can give him more of green leafy veg like paalak, methi. Also other foods with high iron like raisins, beetroot, apricots, dals, rajma etc. In addition give more citrous fruits like orange, pomegranate etc. Give more lime water daily. Ask doctor if he needs any supplements till his Hb level gets okay.

I'm 23 years old women who has 2 Children under 2. And both my delivery was c section. Now my 2nd baby is only 3months old (it was an pre mature baby which is only 34 weeks old). I was 55 kg at my conception of my end baby but now its 74 kg. I wanna get my body back to fit. Can anyone suggest diet method or exercise to loose my weight? And correct time to start exercise after c section.

Some people put on weight after delivery due to over feeding of ghee, butter and dry fruits by relatives/ families. Such over consumption of rich food should be avoided. Your body needs just 25% extra calories for baby's milk. Avoid all types of fried foods and sweets. Take more fresh fruits - 3 per day. Also take more water, milk, butter milk. Eat light meals with lot of proteins. Do daily walk of 20-30 mins if possible. You can target a weight reduction of 2 kgs per month and get down to your ideal weight in 8-10 months.

1. Aim for permanent weight loss by change in food habits/lifestyle. 2. Add 2-3 Fruits per day taken in gaps between meals. 3. Cut down Sweets/Biscuits/ Colas from your diet. Take 10-15 almonds per day. 4. Completely eliminate Puris/Parathas/Pizzas/Burgers/Fried Rice etc 5. ‎Eat plain roti/rice with simple dal and lots of salad in each meals. 6. Exercise daily - 'Intense' Cardio for 40-60 mins. This will keep you slim and trim.

1. Diabetes can be controlled/managed by a proper regulated diet and exercise. 2. Avoid 3 big meals. Instead take small mini meals every 2/3 hours. 3. Take some protiens plus green vegetables/salad with every minimeal. 4. Avoid white foods like white rice, noodles, pizza, burger, white rotis. 5. Instead take whole grain foods like brown rice, multigrain atta, millets etc. 6. Avoid all forms of simple sugars/carbs like Colas, juices, sweets, cakes, biscuits etc. 7. Eat fruits with low/medium GI index like apple, guava, mosambi, orange. 8. Do at least 30-45 mins of exercise everyday. Walk for 10 mins after every meal. 9. These steps can help reduce sugar levels.

Underweight can be due to several reasons. Try to give Multivitamin syrup/tablets for one month. In addition give a dose of deworming tablet. Children are easily addicted to junk food hence they tend to skip home food. You can make more variety of foods and put veggies in stuffed paratha/puri. Give more milk/curd/ paneer. Daily 15-20 nuts like almond/peanuts. Let them play outdoor for at least one hour. Don't force feed, let meal times be happy times.

An egg contains about 6 grams of proteins. Out of this 3 grams is in Yolk and 3 grams in the egg white. It is better to take full egg instead of separating it because there is lot of good nutrition in the yolk as well. Two full eggs a day is good nutrition. Eggs can be taken with milk, there is no problem in it.

There are no special drinks to reduce weight. Lemon / honey does not lead to any weight loss. These are all myths. 1. Its possible to lose weight by a positive change in food habits and lifestyle only. 2. Add 2-3 Fruits per day taken before meals. 3. Cut down Sweets/Biscuits/ Colas from your diet. Hi Sir, Do calories from hard liquor adjust as much caloric energy fat as calories from other sources and What are "empty calories" so many people refer to. Please help me on it.

A glass of Cola will give you 80 calories. An apple too will give you 80 calories. However the 80 calories you get when you eat an Apple will also be accompanied by many vitamins, minerals, fiber, anti oxidants etc. However from Cola you get 80 calories from Sugar only and has no other vitamins, or any benefit to the body. Rather consuming Cola on a regular basis can cause obesity, sugar and other problems. Hence such calories from Colas, liquor, junk food are called as empty calories.
