Is it normal for young children to stop taking or needing naps? My 3½-year-old hasn’t taken a nap in quite a while, but seems to do OK.

Hi, On average, a 3-4yrs. of child needs 9-12hrs. of night sleep and 0-2hrs. of sleep during daytime (varies from child to child and few kids may not sleep during daytime). Normally, the child sleeps in daytime after doing more physical activity only when the child starts feeling tired and there is need of rest.

Hi I feel that your child is lacking emotional support. Sit with her and talk to her politely and ask her why she is doing all these things. Find out the reason behind her actions. When a child lies to her parents, it may be because of your strict discipline. She feels scared to share with you. Spend quality time with your child and understand her. Teach her how to behave. For every good behaviour give reward. Do not delay the reward, it should be in the form of appreciation, tokens, gifts or taking her out etc. Make a behaviour chart for her. This will help you.

Egg is the best protein. A balanced diet that includes carbohydrates (from rice, wheat etc, proteins (from egg, pulses, milk, fish etc, fat (from oil, vitamins and minerals (from vegatables and fruits) in right proportion is the best food. Personally I don't recommend any one particular brand as best energy drink.

the tes is to see if he has The MPS Diseases. The Mucopolysaccharidoses (MPSs) are rare genetic disorders in children and adults. They involve an abnormal storage of mucopolysaccharides, caused by the absence of a specific enzyme. Without the enzyme, the breakdown process of mucopolysaccharides is incomplete. Mucopolysaccharidoses are a group of metabolic disorders caused by the absence or malfunctioning of lysosomal enzymes needed to break down molecules called glycosaminoglycans.he age of onset and severity of Mucopolysaccharidosis type II (MPS II) differ depending on the form. Signs of severe MPS II usually begin between ages two and four. The symptoms of Hunter syndrome (MPS II) are generally not apparent at birth, but usually start to become noticeable after the first year of life.Mucopolysaccharidoses (MPS) and related diseases are genetic lysosomal storage diseases (LSD) caused by the body's inability to produce specific enzymes. Normally, the body uses enzymes to break down and recycle materials in cells.

Dear lybrate-user, yes you can offer oats to your 8mth baby. Oats are good cereals containing digestible fibre ,proteins, vitE and, carbohydrates .By increasing intestine transit time it gives satiety. Only fat is to be mixed in the form of ghee or edible oils to make it complete food for your baby.

If she is active, give her nutritious diet prepared at home including milk and its products available in home of her liking. Don't go for force feeding. A good nutritious diet well cooked in ghee may increase her wt. For urinary problem remain in contact with your doctor. Urinary infection should be looked.
