I am 69 yrs. I am suffering from Lower back pain for one year. It is quite painful. When I get up in the morning ,there is too much pain .i cannot stand up straight for sometime. Please advise.

Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang asana -- lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core strengthening exercises- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

I have pain in between the joints of my shoulders at the back which makes it uncomfortable for me to move my neck n change the side during sleep. Its pain. What should I do?

Massage with your thumbs from the mid points of the shoulder blades on both sides towards the lower back of your head up to lower level of the ears. Use oil or water for massage. Rotate your head clockwise and anticlockwise, forward and down, left and right a few times. Do for 5 to 10 times morning and evening. Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem. Further do some wrist rotation exercise. Inform after 5 days.

Hi I can understand your problem 1) avoid activities that make your symptoms worse 2) apply ice packs 3) start physiotherapy treatment as electrotherapy will reduce pain inflammation 4) exercise and mannual therapy will help in painfree movement. Best wishes.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem.

I am 18 old school boy. I have a pain in legs from last week. After using homemade remedies I do not any effect. So give me some good way to cure it.

: keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

you can do hot fomentation with if it is bursitis or tendonitis,,, if such is not the case then apply mahanarayana tailam and do massage and then do hot fomentation with water

Use of stimulant decreases the symptoms to a much good effect and if we don't give stimulant medication there will be more of conduct disorder and progress in disease and for side effects we have to monitor the person and advice them accordingly and spine block injection is effective for six months.

i would advise you to go for mri lumbosacral spine to rule out vertebral or disc disease....painkillers will give short relief...avoid prolonged standing or sitting and carrying haevy loads..visit ur nearby neurologist. good luck

Knee pain- your mother's problem appears to be her extra weight. This causes strain on her knees and causes knee pain. Efforts are to be made to reduce weight. Other reasons can be- *sitting in inconvenient posture constantly, without changing your position or without movement, *wearing ill fitting sandals, *lack of exercise or *internal disorder like arthritis. Point to observe- * if you have difficulty in climbing stairs, take lift while going upstairs. If there is no lift, go up slowly. * if it is due to strain or injury, take rest. * if it is due to constant sitting at a particular posture, change posture and engage in slow walk. * walking regularly at slow pace without unduly straining helps as it improves blood circulation around knee and eases the joint. *you can use mustard oil for massage which is good in winter season for relieving pain. I am 31 years male. I have problem in my knee. 7 years back some one hit on my knee that time it was to much paining Now its not penning I can walk properly, but I can't run. Mri will show ligament injury. If you want to know what's the problem and want to get treated, then do mri. If you don't want treatment, don't go for mri.

I am 63 years male. 2 years back I had tingling and slight pain in left hand 3 fingers (thumb, index and middle. My efforts to investigated from general physician to specialist to neurologist were in vain. As suggested doctors it gradually cured. In two years it is limited to tip of the middle finger. However, still I feel that left hand has lost (very little) strength. Often feel tingling in chest and back side. I am type2 diabetic (border) taking glycometsr 500 in the morning and gp1 in the night. Other wise my health is perfect. I do pranayama, meditation. Will you please suggest me to get the above disorder addressed?

Hello. I'm 23 years old and my weight is about 77 kg. I have knee knock problems since last 2 t0 3 year in both legs. How can I overcome this naturally by diet and exercise.

1. Avoid all snacks and commercial products with sugar in them - biscuits, cakes, bournvita, horlicks, coke, pepsi, energy drinks, sweetened yogurt etc. 2. Cut down on your daily intake of tea/coffee and maintain it at 3-4 cups a day. 3. Try to add little sugar to any beverage (coffee, tea, milk, lemon water etc.) that you have and ideally you should refrain from adding any sugar altogether. 4. If you have a sitting job then ensure that you do not sit for more than 30 minutes at one stretch. Get up and move a little after every 30 minutes. 5. Try to work out for 20 minutes each day. You do not necessarily have to go to the gym. You can incorporate some pretty powerful exercises in your daily routine like - squats, skipping, surya namaskar and core exercises. 6. Do not eat for 3 hours before you go to sleep. Eating before going to bed is one of the main cause of rapid weight gain. 7. Drink 8-10 glasses of water everyday but remember that tea/coffee are not substitutes for pure water.

Pain in my lower back started two months ago. I took some painkillers, it was okay till I took painKiller but again started as soon as I stopped taking painkiller. I undergone xray of LS spine and thoracic spine, it was normal. After someday I started feeling weakness in my hands. I took tablets having methylcobalamin, weakness reduced but as soon as I stopped taking tablet, weakness again starts. Then I was having stiffness in neck, I undergone cervical xray. And cervical spondylitis was detected. Now also I am taking methylcobalamin tablet. But as soon as I stop taking tablet, I become extremely weak. What should I do? Is the lower back pain also the reason of cervical spondylitis?

Cervical spondylitis is related to bones & articulation. You must start ayurvedic medicines to 1) strenghten bones & muscles. 2) stop further degeneration of joint. 3) healing of joint. 4) release muscular spasm even cronic. 5) reduce swelling & pain. Joint & back pain 1) do massage with warm sesame oil or suitable oil for 15 min. Afterwards take hot fomentation for 10 min. 2) start natural calcium supplement. 3) do regular stretching exercise 4) in yoga do bhujangasan, halasan & suryanamaskar. Life-style correction 1) correct your sitting posture. 2) take small pillow or back rest for lower back. 3) foot should rest to floor easily. 4) take small break after 1 hr & walk few steps. 5) do neck & upper back extension, give feedback after 4 days.
