I had my last periods on 5th of Jan 2015. I am a thyroid patient since last 4 to 5 months. Currently on Thyronorm 50 mcg. Last 3 to 4 mentural / period cycles were 21 days . current test of my thyroid is TSH - 3.17 micro IU/ ml, Free T3 - 3.98 pg/mL, Free T4 - 9.77 pg/mL, TEST DONE ON 24.01.2015 I had my pregnancy test done on 24.01,2015 which was negative. But till date i have not got my periods. Can i still have some chance that i have conceived. I was planning to conceive for the last 6 months. Requesting your advice

Again you repeat your pregnancy test and if negative, consult your doctor as you need detailed work up like USG, Prolactin assay etc. Often, women respond well to progesterone drug withdrawal, which leads to resumption of periods. Thyroid profile seems normal but you should not stop Thyronorm.

I have 9 months baby. I'm not getting my periods. Please give me medicine for getting my periods back.

I have 9 months baby. I'm not getting my periods. Please give me medicine for getting my periods back.
If you are breast feeding then there may be a delay in periods returning. If you have had unprotected intercourse you need to do a urine pregnancy test to exclude a new pregnancy. If negative then consider oral contraceptive pills that will provide contraception as well as regularise your periods.

I'm 21years old and I have white discharge problems every now and then why is that?

International Academy of Classical Homeopathy, BHMS
Homeopath,
Hi, homeopathy is one of the most popular holistic systems of medicine. Homoeopathic medicines are mainly selected on the basis of symptoms given to us by the patient. To make a successful prescription, apart from the treatment through remedies, a lot of counseling and appropriate diet regimen is also required. Take care and god bless you. Thanks.

My wife is feeding my one month baby now a days so what should be her diet? Because we feel he has a stomach sometimes as he cry a lot.

My wife is feeding my one month baby now a days so what should be her diet? Because we feel he has a stomach sometime...
In the initial few weeks baby will try to feed more and it could be every 2 hours or less. If the baby is feeding too frequently may suggest that it is not latching well or only nipple feeding. So try to correct the technique in that case and baby should have good mouthful of your breast than only nipple. You should breast feed on demand means whenever baby wants to feed and as long as baby wants to feed. You should breastfeed throughout the day and also in night. Day by day baby’s demand will keep on increasing because weight gain which is mat maximum in the first 6 months.

Sir maine aaj sex kiya. Aur meri girlfriend ka period 2 to 7 tak tha. to aaj sex se koi problem to nahi hogi.

MD - Homeopathy

Sir maine aaj sex kiya. Aur meri girlfriend ka period 2 to 7 tak tha. to aaj sex se koi problem to nahi hogi.
Irregular periods can be caused due to menstrual cycle disorders. They are very common and can be easily treated with medications. Every month the brain, ovaries & uterus follow a sequence of events to prepare the body for pregnancy. There are four major hormones which are at play here, the follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), progesterone and estrogen. Menstrual cycle disorders occur from conditions that affect the hypothalamus, pituitary gland, ovaries, uterus, cervix, or vagina. You should also look out for other signs such as pregnancy, family history of irregular periods, Acne issues, hair on face or chest, gained weight recently, hot flashes, night sweats, frequent headaches, stress or taking any herbal medications. You should urgently see a doctor if you have been having irregular periods for more than three menstrual periods (either consecutively or over the course of a year). In physical exam, we will thoroughly check your reproductive organs and breast. Commonest test done are hemoglobin, iron studies, hormonal assays and ultrasound abdomen. Treatment is given depending upon the cause which can be found out after thorough examination by a Homoeopath, so visit your nearest Homoeopath today.

I was diagnosed with PCOS one year ago, at that time I had gained weight, while I wasn't eating to much and had acne all over my face. Since then I have been exercising regularly and my periods have become normal. I have also lost quite a lot of weight. Also, I am no longer taking any medication for PCOS. What are the chances that I still suffering from the disease? Is it completely curable or do I still stand a risk of getting it again?

Symptoms and Causes of Amenorrhea

MBBS
Sexologist, Jaipur
Symptoms and Causes of Amenorrhea

Amenorrhea is a condition when a woman of childbearing age fails to menstruate. A woman normally menstruates every 23 to 35 days. The part of the brain called the hypothalamus regulates the menstrual cycle. The hypothalamus stimulates the pituitary gland. The pituitary gland lies just below the hypothalamus at the base of the brain.

There are two types of amenorrhea:

  1. Primary amenorrhea occurs when a woman has not had her first menstrual period (menarche) by age 15 or 16. This condition is also called delayed menarche. It is most often due to late puberty. This is fairly common in teenage girls who are very thin or very athletic. These young women are typically underweight.
  2. Secondary types of amenorrhea occurs when a woman has experienced menstrual periods, but stops menstruating for three or more consecutive months.

Secondary amenorrhea can be caused by:

  1. Pregnancy (the most common cause)
  2. Breast feeding
  3. Menopause, the normal age-related end of menstruation
  4. Emotional or physical stress
  5. Rapid weight loss
  6. Frequent strenuous exercise
  7. Hormonal birth control methods, including birth control pills, the patch and long acting progesterone.
  8. Polycystic ovary syndrome, a condition is associated with a tendency to be overweight, excessive body and facial hair and hormonal irregularities.
  9. Premature ovarian failure (menopause before age 40)
  10. Hysterectomy (surgical removal of the uterus)
  11. Abnormal production of certain hormones, such as testosterone, thyroid and cortisone.
  12. Tumors of the pituitary gland
  13. Chemotherapy

Symptoms of Amenorrhea:
Hormone imbalances may cause amenorrhea together with:

  1. Excess body and facial hair
  2. Acne
  3. Lowering of the voice
  4. Altered sex drive
  5. Breast milk secretions
  6. Weight gain

In order to diagnose your condition your doctor will ask you about:

  1. The date of your last menstrual period
  2. Whether you are sexually active
  3. Your birth control methods
  4. Your pregnancy history
  5. Your eating habits
  6. Rapid weight changes
  7. Obesity or extreme underweight
  8. Your typical monthly menstrual patterns
  9. The age when your mother entered menopause(In most cases it has been seen that, both mother and daughter will enter menopause at the same age)
  10. The amount of stress in your life and how you deal with it
  11. The types of medications you are taking

Treatment for amenorrhea:
The treatment for secondary amenorrhea varies depending on the underlying cause of your condition. Hormonal imbalances can be treated with supplemental or synthetic hormones. Your doctor may also want to remove ovarian cysts, scar tissue or uterine adhesions that are causing you to miss your menstrual periods.

You have not been eating healthy or exercising since your early teen years. The next indication of your unhealthy ways will be hair-fall. Your diet must include fresh fruits and a full serving of salads at every meal: cucumber, tomato, carrot, radish, onion slices or spring onion, raw cauliflower, cabbage leaf, etc. All this is essential. Cut out any junk food and aerated drinks totally. Generally foods that come out of a packet, can, or bottle shud be avoided. Exercise to increase circulation:- 2 mins of hard exercise then 1 min rest - do this four times a day. You can either do it all in one go or split it into sessions through the day. In total it is only 12 mins a day so should not be a big issue. In short, live and eat healthy and you will develop energy, a glowing skin and a'go' in life -regardless of age. Then and only then will medicines help you in a magical way.

It could be just a growing pain, you should take some Uterine relaxants for the same along with some antacids, take a lighter meal at night and sleep in which ever position you feel comfortable with. Travelling can be done but without a bumpy ride, you may take some pregnancy support pills whenever you feel discomfort or tired ,or when you travel.
