Hi lybrate-user, Take plain water steam for 4-5 times in a day. Drinking 1-2 teaspoon of honey 2-3 times a day will help you get rid of the irritation. You can take: NUX VOMICA 200. (Single dose in SL) at bedtime today. RUMEX 30. 4 pills every 4 hours. Take the medicine for a week. (Be careful to keep a gap of at least half an hour in between the medicine and food.) Kindly avoid coffee. Let me know if there are any more symptoms apart from cough that a€™s bothering you. Do let me know if this was helpful. Thank you.

I am 29 years male suffering with cough and chest congestion for last 12 days. What should i do? Please advise.

This looks to be bronchitis. You would require to undergo a course of proper antibiotics under care of a family physician. It's not serious if treated early.

It sounds like you have common cold and it is very common most of them are viral in nature and they do not need any special treatment they get relieved by themselves in a week or so all you need to do is keep yourself well hydrated and and take Betadine gargles and 3 mins relation 3 times a day.

I've been coughing for more than a week now. It's not too bad but it's causing a little bit of uneasiness and stress. It started after I smoked, I smoke very rarely like once or twice a month. What could the cause be? Should I consult a doctor or wait it out a little more

If it increases on smoking why at all you are smoking. don't you think it's right time to quit. Get a chest xray done and visit chest specialist. Best wishes
