Sitting for long hours weaken your back muscles which are no longer able to support your spine. You need to do some modifications in your work area. Take breaks, stand and do some stretches for the back muscles. Learn back strengthening exercises from a physiotherapist and do them daily. That would make your muscles strong and your spine in a better alignment. Also you can do hot water fomentation two times a day.

Sir, I am Saroj my age 21 but my hair fall always what can I do. Pls suggestion me.

MD - Dermatology

Sir, I am Saroj my age 21 but my hair fall always what can I do. Pls suggestion me.
Hair loss is a common problem. First and foremost start with lifestyle modifications. You have to incorporate a lot of dietary changes too. Drink too litres of water everyday since it will detoxify and remove impurities from the body which otherwise can accumulate harmful metabolic products. If you r a vegetarian, your diet should contain plenty of all types of pulses everyday. Drink plenty of milk too. If not, incorporate plenty of eggs, meat, fish in cooked forms. Avoid junk food. Destress since stress mediators cause hairfall. Do yoga and meditation. Exercise regularly. Hair styling devices and hot rods and creams enhance hairfall, so avoid them. Dont tie up hair tightly. Dandruff is a fungal infection of your scalp skin. Avoid oil for it increases dandruff. Wash hair with shampoo on alternate days. Massage and wash thoroughly.

You should not skip meals. It weakens the muscles and can adversely affect the inner organs too. Instead of skipping meals you can take food in less amount.

My child is now completed 6 months.
So I want a complete food chart for her. please provide me a chart.
thanks.
Hello, the best time to start solid for babies is from 6 months.Baby develops digestive enzymes in between 4-6 months.Start with a single food.either a fruit, vegetable or grains., avoid a mixture of food.you can start with mashed fruit first. fruit helps the baby to digest them better, after a week you can start rice water, after a week clear dal soup or boiled vegetable water. you can also try feeding ragi milk extracted from soaked ragi.consume milk after 2-3 hours. solid food should be served in between the feeds. avoid mixing milk and or any other ingredient in fruit.the combination of fruit and milk increase indigestion , loss of appetite , no weight gain.

Hye,  Thanks for the query. There’s no overnight fix when it comes to healthy weight loss, but you can adjust your lifestyle to promote quick, natural weight loss for the benefit of your health and your appearance. Successful, long-term weight management needs to focus on more than the food you eat and the pounds you lose. It needs to focus on your overall health. Reshape your body and your lifestyle by adopting healthy habits and breaking unhealthy ones. Replace all processed foods in your diet with vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low-fat dairy, lean meats, eggs, legumes, nuts, seeds and seafood. Focus on the variety of whole, unprocessed foods you can eat instead of dwelling on the junk food you eliminated from your diet. Eat smaller portions at every meal and avoid going back for seconds. Take a smaller scoop of rice,  half of a piece of chicken instead of a whole piece and one less egg in your morning omelet, for example. Make time for breakfast every morning. Eating breakfast helps prevent overeating and is a habit of people who successfully lose weight. Pack to-go meals instead of eating convenience foods when you’re not home. Store foods like chopped fruits and vegetables or cooked grains, legumes, eggs and meats in your refrigerator so you always have something to grab when you’re in a rush. Buy fresh vegetables and fruits from the grocery store if you forget to bring healthful food from home. When you can’t avoid dining at a restaurant, opt for a salad as a starter, and always ask for the dressing on the side. Clear soups, lean meats, seafood and grain-based dishes like roti, whole grain bread are other good choices. Exercise for 30 to 60 minutes at least three times per week to build muscle and burn more calories. Pilates, strength training, aerobics, swimming, dancing and yoga or a sport like football are ideal choices. If you’re new to exercising, start with brisk walking and jogging. Adopt physically demanding hobbies like bicycling, hiking, jogging, power walking to promote faster weight loss. If you don’t have time for new hobbies, increase your physical activity with things like walking the dog, playing with the kids or jogging instead of driving to a nearby store or taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Weigh yourself weekly and record your weight. Adjust your diet and physical activity according to the progress you’re making.

Is Buying Organic Really Worth It?

Diploma In Dietetics,Health & Nutrition
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Delhi
Is Buying Organic Really Worth It?

To increase food production to match the growing population, chemicals are used to accelerate the amount of produce obtained from the land. However, the chemicals soon show their harmful effects. Though used in very minor quantities, over a period of time, their cumulative effect has detrimental effects on the consumers. Especially in homes with children, the aged, and the health conscious people, the concern about the harmful effects of conventional foods has grown quite a bit over time. So that is where the concept of organic foods gained momentum.

  • Organic foods are produced by using approved techniques, promoting recycling of resources, which are not harmful to the environment and preserve biodiversity. These are foods which are grown without the use of chemicals - be it synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, hormones, or prophylactic antibiotics.
  • There are permissible levels of chemicals defined by food agencies whose limits when exceeded can cause harmful effects with prolonged use - such as, birth defects, respiratory problems, reproductive issue, etc. So the question you need to ask is - if pesticides are used to kill insects, can the same do any good to the human body? Also, you must consider the quantity and if it is within the permitted limits.
  • Organic foods have been proven to be more beneficial relatively, since they are more nutritious, reduce allergies, digestive infections, reduce the risk of cancer, etc. However, bear a word of caution in mind.  There are no long-term studies to prove this aspect.
  • Also, be advised not to overdo on the 'organic' part. A lot of time, there are organic junk foods available also.  And then there are the organic foods which are produced in one part of the world, and are shipped over long distances. Do they really retain their nutrients and benefits over this duration? That needs to be answered.
  • Another thing to consider is the cost effectiveness of buying organic products. Because they take their natural cycle time to grow, the growth rate is slower and therefore they are expensive. Affordability becomes a question again, and you may think if such foods can be conveniently purchased by all?
  • The trick is to use locally grown, seasonal fruits which are easily available and grown without using much chemicals. You can be assured of their freshness and the reduced use of chemicals in this case.
  • Use organic for sure, but please be careful not to fall for it all the time with all the products.

In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!

Hi, how can a scar removal cream help if the problem is internal? so having such a experience you have to stop applying any creams. First see if you have dandruff or not? dandruff cannot be seen after hairwash. Watch after 2days of hairwash if you have dandruff which is the main cause of having pimples on back. Don't use antidandruff shampoo as it increases the amount of dandruff you had first. Regularise your diet. Include fruits and vegetables in your diet. Avoid junk food, spicy and oily food.

I am suffering from a problem wherein white water or a sticky substance flows out from the uterus. What is the reason of this discharge and how can it be stopped?

MD- Homoeopathy
Homeopath,
I am suffering from a problem wherein white water or a sticky substance flows out from the uterus. What is the reason...
This white discharge is called leucorrhoea. It may occur naturally due to hormonal changes during each menstrual cycle which does not need treatment. Sometimes however it may be a sign of vaginal inflammation or infection due to viruses or other organisms. In such cases it is prudent to treat the cause. Homeopathy offers one of the best solutions to tackle leucorrhoea.

When I go gym for two months I got muscles but after when I not done gym for 3 months my muscles goes down. Why? (I am not using any type of proteins)

MSc
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Hyderabad
Hi here are 6 ways to gain weight healthily: 1. Eating 5 to 6 meals a day in order to gain weight, start eating 5-6 meals a day by breaking them into parts. Eating a lot at once may cause indigestion if the body fails to absorb all nutrients. Eat in small amounts, even if you are not hungry and there will be an increase in appetite from day to day. The aim should be to have a generously portioned breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as two to three snacks in between. 2. Start weight training if you build your muscles through weight training, it will convert the extra weight into lean body mass and also stimulate your appetite. The extra muscle increases the rate of metabolism. When you start exercising you will often experience extreme muscle soreness but it goes away in 3-5 days. 3. Load up on protein besides weight training, a protein-rich diet can help you gain mass. Eating a meal heavy in protein shortly after finishing exercise can be highly effective in adding extra pounds to your body. However, a diet focused only on lean protein is not helpful. It is important to make sure that your diet has plenty of fat in it. Eat foods rich in protein like cheese, meat, eggs, etc to gain weight in a healthy manner. 4. Workout your entire body a lot of people focus only on training the muscles on their arms, chest and shoulders and this is a grave error. Firstly, it will give you a disproportionate body; and it will make you prone to injuries. Therefore, it's important to work out the entire body for a complete and balanced look. 5. Drink your calories to reach the calorie requirement only by eating may be tough. Drinking milk, milkshakes or protein shakes with little or no sugar can be an effective way to load up on the calorie requirements. 6. Be patient and believe in yourself gaining weight quickly in a healthy manner is unrealistic. Every body type is different and it takes months to gain weight. Living healthy by eating the right diet will increase your strength. It is also important to keep following the routine even if you don't see any gains. Caution: junk food and fried foods must be avoided; although have a tendency to add more fat to your body but are very low in vitamins and minerals which are essentially required to keep you really fit.
