I cannot focus in class I can rarely give my 100% attention to anything be it studying or gaming. I always keep losing focus. While in a group I start day dreaming even though others are talking. I am hyperactive there always needs to be something or the other in my hand to play with and when I cant find anything I play with people's earlobes. I have frequent headaches where my head feels very lazy it feels like I just want to keep my eyes closed. And when this happens I cannot figure out whats happening in my surroundings. This happens not only while studying, gaming but also while i'm driving because of which I have to apply sudden brakes. Please help me all of this is affecting my studies.

Dear, memory and mind power consists of understanding, storage and recollection of information you learn. Understanding depends on concentration. The more creative you are on doing tasks or reading, the more you understand. Storage and recollection depends on your understanding and how well you review what you have learned. Repetition and review of material learned and other tasks provides easy recollection. You can improve your concentration and total brain power with the help of green leafy vegetables, exercise, creative activities, number puzzles like sudoku etc. Hard work is the key to learning and recollection. Post a private question to me and I shall provide you more tips. Take care.

I' am taking anti-depressants for about 2 years now, my anxiety and mood swings decreased substantially once I started taking them. While I continue to take them, I wonder if there are foods that can compliment my medicinal intake to keep my serotonin levels healthy.

Hi You have asked a very good question. And it also seems that you are quite well informed about your medicines and their mechanism of action. Antidepressants usually act by modulating the level of serotonin. There are certain foods which can have an impact on serotonin. However not significant enough to be of any clinical use. A healthy balanced diet consisting of vegetables, fruits and fibers along with regular exercise is recommended in general. Regards.

What is the remedy of stammering problem. Please tell me as soon as possible. Thankyou.

Psychologist, Delhi
Stammering generally develops in the course of growing up. And is linked somewhat to your self confidence. Try speaking by looking into the mirror. Speak slowly. Create a script before speaking. Exercise deep breathing and say encouraging words to yourself - i'm good, I have qualities. I'm good at doing this believe in yourself.

First of all do not stop any medicines abruptly because doing so will cause rebound of symptoms .First and foremost change your diet and lifestyle .Ayurveda might not be the right choice. You have to treat the root cause and not the symptoms .The cause for your anxiety needs to be explored stop dairy and caffeine excess. No animal products. Go on a whole food plant based diet. Need to take a detailed history both dietary and medical. This problem can be reversed with diet and life style changes. I am a lifestyle Physician and wellness Dr. take a consult from me if you want proper advice and be healthy without medications or minimal medications.

Suffering from depression taking lots of medicine bt still feelings anxiety what should I do.
Hi, in your case, consultation with psychiatrist is required to evaluate underlying causes for non responsiveness to these medicines. The appropriate treatment will be started based on lab test and response to these medicines.

I've been a kind of person who is not very flexible and have many boundaries. Whenever I have crossed them, mostly I've regretted. Just for an example, when I watched TV series for the first time in college, I enjoyed it. But soon I regretted. So, I decided not to watch any series afterwards as it was time consuming. I had a good amount of social anxiety and what people might think about me mattered a lot more than what I would like to do after certain time. Initially, I couldn't digest the changes and even having feelings for someone was hard to digest. I tries to suppress it harshly for about 5-6 months them but then finally I got into relationship with the same person. But I disturbed my academics and I lost my confidence here. Then I started feeling inferior to one girl which was overwhelming. After a little break, unintentionally my bf brought his past lover in talking and one night he drank with her. And unconsciously, they got intimated to an extent. That episode completely broke me. I wanted to forgive him and love him because of the kind of person he is but I was tired of struggling with anxiety and stress for long time. So I couldn't do it and many times I've reacted badly with him which made me feel more bad about myself. Basically, now I'm not able to handle all of it. I get afraid when some negative thought strikes my head as I don't know when I'm going to act in what way. I'm just always in this negative pool. It feels hard to get out of it. What should I do?

How To free Mind From Stress.
If I hav Very Minor prblm in Life.
Till my Mind become stressful For That minor problem...
When line of negativity feels long and strong. Slowly one need to work on building positivity back. I will suggest you few things below, incorporating them slowly in your day will help you make this transition. If you have something which happened recently which is making you feel negative then may be you need to talk to someone about it specifically to figure out the best way to deal with the situation. What you are feeling is conic stress due to our fast life style. You could also this as feeling burnout. To begin with doing guided progressive muscular relaxation before sleeping will help you relax. You could google and download an audio file. I would also suggest you to take a multiple small break to take 3 nice and deep breath while keeping your eyes closed. You could do this while sitting or standing or while even walking or climbing stairs (keep your eyes open in that case). When you take a nice and deep break there is actual physiological change in your body. Thus will help you to activate parasympathetic nervous system which promotes relaxation and helps you calm down and think more clearly. This will also actually improve your performance in your work. Along with this exercise is one of the best way to relive stress and stay fit. Engage in any kind of physical activity at least 4 times a week. This also helps in stress reduction. Along with this some relaxation exercises as well as engaging in joyful activities such as music, singing, dancing, reading, being in nature, gardening, talking with friends or anything which you enjoy will help reducing stress and rejuvenation of your mind and body. Have good routine for sleep and eating. Lot of research has now proven that sugar is very harmful for our health. Reduce sugar and refined white floor in your diet as much as you could. Along with this also increase consumption of raw vegetables in the form of salad in both the meals of your day. If you need help in exploring what works best for you and make this into your life style do let me know. As a trained wellness coach I could help you tailored your own holistic wellness program. Hope this helps if you are interested in short 4 to 8 week resilience training you may contact me. Wishing you very best.
