Sir, I have a light pain in acromion (acromioclavicular joint of the shoulder) since last 2 months. I have used some medicines like paracetamol, gel and massage with warm oil andvnow I am taking Calcium's tablets. But it remains as it is. I feels it every time (it's so light only feel npt painful) but it gets a little pain during exercise and motions. Give me some suggestions. Can I get relief from this? Is it a serious matter?

DEAR, Shoulder pain Physiotherapy uses a number of different physical methods to promote healing. If you are referred to a physiotherapist, they should explain to you what treatment they will use and how it will work. Possible treatments include: •specific shoulder exercises – for example, if you have shoulder instability, you may be given exercises to strengthen your shoulder •massage – where the physiotherapist uses their hands to manipulate your shoulder Read more about some of the different techniques used inphysiotherapy. Shoulder exercises If you have shoulder pain, it's important to keep your shoulder joint mobile with light and gentle movement. Not using your shoulder can cause your muscles to waste away and may make any stiffness worse. Therefore, if possible, you should continue using your shoulder as normal. If your shoulder is very stiff, exercise may be painful. Your GP or physiotherapist can give you exercises to do without further damaging your shoulder. You may be given exercises to do on your own, or you may complete the exercises with supervision from your GP or physiotherapist. You may also have manual therapy, where the healthcare professional moves your arm for you. Manual therapy uses special techniques to move the joints and soft tissues in your shoulder. One review of a number of studies found that long-term physiotherapy was as effective as surgery for impingement syndrome (any type of damage to the tendons in the rotator cuff). Leg Pain If you have leg pain then you have to rule out the casues for having leg pain. First of all check your weight and your haemoglobin levels, as Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having leg pain though there are no issues with the knee joint or back pain. Hold this for the 10 sec with repetition of 3 times.

I am suffering from legs problem paining while walking 100 meters and since past 8-9 years I am taking medicine from MBBS and MD doctor but my diabetes and B.P not controlling however I am taking some ayurveda for diabetes and B.P problem my diabetes is now 148 but B.P is increasing at present my B.P is 190/90 but some ayurveda doctor told me that zinger and Googal is harmful for B.P. Please clarified my age is 73.

In a known case of diabetic we need to control sugar levels with medication , aerobic exercise and following a diabetic diet and if you are having a high bp with high pulse than we also need to start with treatment for LVH and bp will automatically reduce

Dear low back pain k liye you can do it perfectly. 1, lying on your stomach, prop yourself up on your forearms. Align your elbows directly under your shoulders. Press firmly through your palms and the tops of your feet. Press your pubic bone forward. You will feel sensations in your lower back, but breathe through it. You are allowing blood flow int from all-fours, bring your right knee behind your right wrist with your lower leg at a diagonal toward your left hip. Square off your hips toward the ground. Bend forward. Widen the elbows and place one hand on top of the other as a pillow for your forehead. Hold 2-3 minutes and then switch to the left side for 2-3 minutes. O the lower back for healing. Hold for 1-3 minutes. 2. Lying on your back, bend both knees with the feet flat on the ground. Bend the right knee like a figure four, with the outer left ankle to the right thigh. Lift the left foot into the air, bringing the left calf parallel to the ground. Thread your right hand between the opening of the legs and interlace your hands behind your left thigh. Hold 2-3 minutes and then repeat on the other side 3scoot your buttocks all the way into the wall and swing your feet up the wall. This pose is excellent for relaxing the muscles of the lower back and drains stagnant fluid from the feet and ankles. Do this pose after a challenging workout and always after traveling by plane. Hold for 5-10 minutes. I hope you will fit and fine. Thanks.

Dear lybrate-user getting thyroid screening once in a while is a must for all all thyroid patients do not have all symptoms but still thyroid mostly hypothyroidism has 1. Dryskin2. Constipation3. Low respiration, 4. Increase in body weight 5. Hair fall. 6. Loss of calcium7. I'm high levels there will be memory loss and confusion.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. It is actually known that office workers sitting on their computers for a long time can have chronic neck pains and with a bad posture can subsequently develop back pain as well. The answers to all these questions lies in: - proper posture counseling and maintenance during work - isometric neck exercises, lower back strengthening, abdominal strengthening, and a set of general conditioning ex can help you to get much fitter and muscles toned - also it is advisable to do daily brisk walks for 2-3 km in around 30 minutes time. - adequate calcium and vitamin d intake is also helpful so definitely exercises and physical therapy sessions should help you quite a lot in getting rid of pain.
