That must be difficult for you to be spoken to in that way. Try to understand what he wants from you visa versa. Couples do have expectations from each other. Try to do whatever you can yet draw your boundaries over things that are beyond your capacity. Learning to speak assertively will also help you to regain respect and dignity in the relationship.

You can come out of depression but you need to combine counseling with medication. In counseling, you will learn a lot of skills and techniques that will help you to meet the daily challenges in life for that of a depressed person. In the meantime please do the following sincerely because you could resolve the problem better with good cooperation: Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber, nuts, avocado, exercise regularly, eat dark chocolate, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. I suggest you do the opposite of what this depression makes you feel like doing (actually, not doing): you will need to fight this condition. You must become active; stay upright during the daylight time; meet people; never sleep during the day, wake up by 6 am every day, play some active games, especially contact games, do physical exercises, talk to people and join some social clubs, attend Yoga classes etc. Watch sitcoms on TV or comedies and cheer yourself up. Go for excursions in groups, for outings, camps, conferences, and religious conventions. Get a pet dog and spend time training it, exercising it and relating to it. Expose yourself to some sunlight every day, at least, 30 minutes but not in the scorching heat. Whatever happens, please incorporate these three important adaptations in your life: always be responsible, be respectful, and be functional. If you did these three, lots of things will go well in life. Please pray and have faith in God to alleviate your sufferings. Don’t wait for others to help. Use your own motivation, which might be at its lowest, but persevere and win this battle. Above all to be really happy, you need to live in love and for love. Learn all about emotions and how to handle them and that will get you out of the depression rather easily and quickly. A counselor is there only to facilitate you, all the hard word must come from you, and your cooperation with that person is very critical for your success. Be positive every day and learn to be contented with what you have. Do some left brain exercises: it is the happy brain. Here are a few suggestions: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. Whatever happens please cooperate with the therapy and do not discontinue until the condition is completely resolved.

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd
Psychologist, Bangalore
Nicotine, whether chewed or smoked, stays in your in your urine or saliva and can be detected by tests. In urine tests, nicotine can usually be detected for 3-4 days, but in more passive smokers, it can remain for up to 15-20 days. In a saliva test, which is the most accurate test, nicotine can be detected for more than 10 hours or up to 2-4 days.

How can I increase my memory I forget things after some time. please give me solution.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
Strategies for Remembering 1.Become interested in what you're learning. We're all better remembering what interests us. Few people, for example, have a difficult time remembering the names of people they find attractive. If you're not intrinsically interested in what you're learning or trying to remember, you must find a way to become so. 2.Find a way to leverage your visual memory. You'll be surprised by how much more this will enable you to remember. For example, imagine you're at a party and are introduced to five people in quick succession. How can you quickly memorize their names? Pick out a single defining visual characteristic of each person and connect it to a visual representation of their name, preferably through an action of some kind. Remember: Memory is predominantly visual. 3.Create a mental memory tree. If you're trying to memorize a large number of facts, find a way to relate them in your mind visually with a memory tree. Construct big branches first, then leaves. Branches and leaves should carry labels that are personally meaningful to you in some way, and the organization of the facts (" leaves") should be logical. 4.Associate what you're trying to learn with what you already know. It seems the more mental connections we have to a piece of information, the more successful we'll be in remembering it. This is why using mnemonics. Write out the items to be memorized over and over and over. 5.When reading for retention, summarize each paragraph in the margin. This requires you to think about what you're reading, recycle it, and teach it to yourself again. Even take the concepts you're learning and reason forward with them; apply them to imagined novel situations, which creates more neural connections to reinforce the memory. 6.Do most of your studying in the afternoon. Though you may identify yourself as a" morning person" or" evening person" at least one Study. Suggests your ability to memorize isn't influenced as much by what time of day you perceive yourself to be most alert but by the time of day you actually study—afternoon appearing to be the best. 7.Get adequate sleep to consolidate and retain memories. Not just at night after you've studied but the day, you study as well. Far better to do this than to stay up cramming all night for an exam.

Hi, I am a lawyer and my profession requires lot of numbers to be remembered like sections acts etc. I was always scared of maths as a kid and due to this I opted for commerce as a subject but again in accounting I hardly could score passing marks and since then its d same scenario I never took it seriously before but for d past few months the more I try to mug up sections the more I tend to forget everything. Today morning my teacher asked me few sections in the class all I could remember is lot of pages flipping in my mind but not the answer and I was sweating all over inc heartbeats as if I could literally hear my own heartbeats and also shivering. I don' t even remember phone number of my family members or frds. Have my judicial exams coming m scared can' t loose it just because of numbers please suggest. Hope thrz nothing serious about it.

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd
Psychologist, Bangalore
You have been avoiding math for too long and now it has grown up on you as an essential part of all that you do. I think that it is now causing you so much anxiety that it is affecting even the memory of phone numbers! you must get this fear and distaste for math out of your mind, first. These are just figures and not complicated calculations where you need to use formulas and formats. Just calm down and take in the fact that you just have to remember numbers, not calculate with them. The fear (to a point of phobia) is actually crippling you. After you have calmed down and accepted math as an integral part and parcel of your daily life, learn some very effective techniques to developing a statement with the words to recall the figures. Say for example, you have a file reference as follows: plo 1930/2015. You could make a statement that reads something like this: the palestinian liberation organization can, in one shot, love nine israelis and take thirty pot shots this year at golf (the underlined letters become your clues to the figure to be remembered). This statement may not make much sense but it is meant to be so that it will enable grasp the imagination, and to be captured in memory. You may also use this variant: plan to lie to my older son at nineteen before he becomes thirty, this year itself. You may also use an audio sound recall by reciting numbers with chosen pauses and have an audio memory that is easily recalled: e. G. 9448113793, audio memory could be recited as follows: nine, double four eight, double one, three seven nine three. I don? t know if you got the drift. Sometimes you can arrange the numbers in such a way that it is easy to recall (again it is an audio skill): 9341255060, to be remembered as nine, three, four, one, twenty-five, fifty, sixty! it will be easy to memorize such variants. There are many more you can learn from some teachers. Talk to counselor to eradicate the fear, the block in the mind, and to appreciate math and not fear it.

Hi dear, Repeated thoughts about one thing is not so common in depression and anxiety. Repeated thoughts of one thing is more seen in OCD. It causes anxiety. In this disorder patient feels uneasiness, heaviness in head and neck. Patients feel a pain in neck region and head. This is called as somatic pain. Please see a psychiatrist. Do some relaxation exercises, walking, jogging to make muscles supple. It may help to reduce your pain. OCD is common disorder among young people. Untreated OCD causes depression and life become difficult. After treatment In some cases it shows very good response and in some cases life become somewhat better than being untreated. I think I helped you. Than you.

Dear Sarwani, Memory and mind power depends mainly on three aspects. Understanding, storage and recollection. To understand what you are studying, you must be able to be attentive or concentrate. Concentration is possible when you are interested in that subject. Creative way of learning can help you concentrate and understand easily. When you are able to understand and concentrate, it is stored within your brain. If you read more and more it will be store in long term memory. Third part is retrieval. Whenever you want to retrive what you learned and stored, your brain gets the request, searches the database and retrieves the information for you. The retrieval may prove to be difficult if you are anxious, stressed, worried or tired physically or mentally. Retrieval is more easy when you are relaxed and healthy. Brain needs nutrients to keep itself sharp. Fruits, vegetables and dry fruits provide much needed nutrients for your brain. Include at least one fruit in your daily diet. Physical exercises, entertainment, hobbies, relaxation, memory games like sudoku etc help keep your memory sharp and active. Take care.

Don't make your relation addiction, because then its really hard to get out of it. This relation is just a part of your life its not your whole life. So try to detach yourself from the relation, prioritize things in your life and deliberate try tor educe conversation and your meetings. Make a schedule, get yourself busy in things, exercise and find other motivations in your life. If you feel this relation is not helping you talk mutually and end it. It may be hard initially but no feeling stays forever, so it will change for good. Take counseling if required. Consult me for same.
