Hello Coating on the tongue is not normal. It leads to bad smell from mouth, bad impression during talking or smile, decrease in taste sensation. It happen when you don't clean your tongue and oral cavity properly. It's recommend to clean your tongue using tongue cleaner two times a day during brushing. In your query you didn't add some points, since how long you have this coating, color or coating, and bleeding from this area, area covered by this coating. So for a detail checkup please visit dentist, as some coating can be cleaned using tongue cleaner and some need treatment. Have a good day!

I am a 20 year old male. I am going through dental sensitivity, PERIODONTAL bone disease was found in X ray.
Most probably it may be due to deposits on teeth. I would advice you to go for regular cleaning of teeth as periodontal bone loss is easy and cheap to prevent as compared to curative treatment. You are young and need to take care of your teeth for them to serve you longer.

Avoid sugary foods. When bacteria in the mouth break down simple sugars, they produce acids that can erode tooth enamel, opening the door to decay. “Sugary drinks, including soft drinks and fruit drinks, pose a special threat because people tend to sip them, raising acid levels over a long period of time,Carbonated drinks may make matters worse, since carbonation also increases acidity.Sticky candies and chocolates are another culprit, because they linger on teeth surfaces.

Hi Sir, Which material suits better for moderate case of dental fluorosis to fill occlusal caries in posterior teeth, GIC or Composite?

Hi Sir, Which material suits better for moderate case of dental fluorosis to fill occlusal caries in posterior teeth,...
well dental fluorosis is a condition where the teeth are already weak because of lack of calcium and more of fluorine. If there are occlusal caries, the progress of it is faster in a fluorosed tooth. Both the restorations either GIC or composite can be done.

You need to get it checked first in case of secondary caries…and need to get it mended as soon as possible followed by a cap.

Saving a fallen tooth can prove to be useful. Wrapping it up in a piece of plastic or soaking it into milk or trying to keep it in place immediately after it has fallen can prevent any further harm. Consult a dentist immediately after undertaking one of the above measures.

Hi I have bad breathing problem. Please suggest me something. Sometimes I wash my mouth with mouthwash but still issue is there? Do I need to clean tongue daily, which I started recently.

•Eat a healthy, balanced diet and avoid eating strongly flavoured or spicy food. •Cut down on sugary food and drink, as it can increase the amount of bacteria in your mouth. •Reduce your alcohol consumption. •Stop smoking. •Cut down on coffee. •Drink plenty of water to help prevent your mouth becoming dry. •Chew sugar-free gum after eating, to stimulate the flow of saliva. This will help clean away any remaining food particles. •Don't use toothpaste to clean your dentures, as it can scratch the surface and cause stains. •Clean your dentures thoroughly using soap and lukewarm water, denture cream or a denture-cleaning tablet. •Use a separate toothbrush to clean your dentures. •Make sure you visit your dentist for regular check-ups. Having regular dental check-ups will ensure that any plaque is removed from your teeth, particularly in areas that are difficult to reach. •Your dentist can recommend the best way to clean your teeth and gums, and point out areas you might be missing. They can also identify any signs of gum disease and ensure early treatment. •Gastritis, lung & sinus infection may also be the cause of bad smell in the mouth. 90% of bad breath is due to a dirty tongue. •If your bad breath is caused by a gastrointestinal problem, such as an H. Pylori infection or gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), you may be referred to a gastroenterologist. •Persistent bad breath or a bad taste in the mouth may be a warning sign of gum (periodontal) disease. Gum disease is caused by the buildup of plaque on teeth. •You may need deep cleaning & fill tooth cavities with artificial enamel filling. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash until then. Advance procedures can be done with laser too. You may consult me in person.
