Hi. RA is something for which you need lifelong treatment. There may be certain exacerbating factors like cold weather, certain foods which can increase the pain. Better to prevent these episodes. Stiffness is a feature of RA. You have to do regular exercises to prevent stiffness. Your exercise regime should include both aerobic and strengthening exercises. Stretches will also help you a lot. But physiotherapist guidance is essential in prescribing the right exercises. Go for a walk daily for atleast 30 mins. Have nutritious food which includes more of green leafy vegetables, egg, milk, fruits etc. As you are young, you can fight the disease with exercises and food rather than medicines. At any cost do not go for heavy gym exercises otherthan if prescribed by your physio. Hope you recover soon. Any further questions, you can contact me online.

Hi There are various causes for hand pain kindly visit physiotherapist for clinical examination. For pain take cold water fomentation for 20 minutes thrice a day for 5 days. Do stretching and gentle massage of hand . If still you don't get relief and need further advice, consult me via Lybrate.

Hi lybrate-user to gain hands weight you need to combine a balanced eating pattern with regular physical activity. You should be eating at least 6 small meals a day, rather than sticking to 3 square meals. You could divide it as 3 main meals and 3 snacks. You need to be eating every 2-3 hours. Space out snacks during the day so you don't spoil your appetite. Bread, cereal, rice, whole wheat, dalia and pasta: biscuits, and corn-bread are good sources of carbohydrates. Fruits: dried fruits, fruit nectars, and large quantities of fresh fruits vegetables: include, potatoes, peas, corn in your diet. Meat, poultry, fish, dry beans, eggs, and nuts: beef, pork, lamb, poultry, salmon, omelets, nuts, peanut butter, kidney beans, chickpeas will help you gain weight. Include dairy products like milk, yogurt, and cheese: milk, fruited yogurts, hard cheeses, ice cream, puddings, custards, milkshakes. -nuts and seeds make a healthy option for snacks. -roasted channas and peanuts are good -peanut butter on the sandwiches are a great mid-meal choice. -you must know that cereals actually contain some healthy calories. Stay hydrated: drinking plenty of water and other fluids like juices, milk, soups etc, will work in your favour. Do not drink water before a meal and in between the meal as it may make you lose your appetite, thus calorie intake suffers. Sleep: at least 8 hours of sound sleep is a must. Since your body is actually building up muscles, while you rest. Weight gainers have long term side effects.

hi. u can Eupatorium 200 along with Rhus tox 200, both medicines 4 times daily.. also take plenty of water and light exercises for all body parts twice daily. don't worry, you will be fine

Please do stretching exercises before running, use good quality footwear with arch support, start physiotherapy and consult orthopaedic surgeon if symptoms persist.

I had mid shaft tibia fracture in right leg which has healed. Now my leg is weak and stiff. How to overcome this difficulty?

I am suffering from Calcaneal Spur in my right leg heel for the past 5 years and heard that there is no specified treatment for this. Do you have any exact solution for this because, I could not place my foot on the floor and that much of pain I am feeling every time.
