Some men are indeed endowed with a lot of foreskin tissue, and occasionally this can interfere with normal sexual function. If a doctor confirms what you say by physical examination, a circumcision operation can easily be arranged whereby all your problems would be solved.

Gestational Diabetes - Signs You Cannot Afford To Ignore!

Gestational diabetes is also known as gestational mellitus diabetes (GDM). It is a prevalent disorder which affects pregnant women and the main cause of this condition is the imbalance in the functioning of the insulin, which mainly happens due to the presence of human placental lactogen. Expecting mothers show a raise in their blood sugar level, especially during the last trimester of their pregnancy. Women who do not have a medical history of diabetes can also be affected with this condition.

Prominent symptoms of gestational pregnancy include:
Gestational diabetes does not have any prominent symptoms; it can only be diagnosed through proper and professional screening of blood sugar level. You should immediately consult a doctor if you have any of the following symptoms:
1. Increased level of blood sugar
2. Trouble to concentrate
3. Recurrent headaches
4. Increased thirst
5. Blurry vision
6. Sudden weight loss
7. Decrease in low blood sugar level
8. Anxiety
9. Dizziness
10. Pangs of hunger
11. Pale skin and dry skin
12. Excessive sweating
13. Persistent weakness

How can you manage gestational diabetes?
Modification of lifestyle pattern, healthy food habits and moderate physical exercise can help minimize the risk of gestational diabetes in expecting mothers. In order to manage gestational diabetes, the following things should be followed:
1. The treatment when accompanied with balanced diet and routine exercises, reduces the occurrence of health problems in both mother and child.
2. A routine screening for type ii diabetes should be conducted throughout the pregnancy, to ensure early detection and treatment of the same.
3. A diet rich in fiber and whole grains minimizes the risk of diabetes in pregnancy, fresh fruits and vegetables are also known to check the blood sugar level in expecting mother, minimizing the occurrence of health problem in both mother and child.
4. Giving up the use of cigarettes and other forms of tobacco may reduce the chances of gestational diabetes in female smokers.

How Does Gestational Diabetes affect Pregnancy?
Gestational diabetes is harmful for both the expecting mother and the child. It increases the risk of complications in pregnancy that can prove to be fatal. Potential risks of gestational pregnancy include:
1. Increased risk of needing a C-section
2. Miscarriage

Respected Sir 1.Based on your symptoms, you might be having phimosis (tight foreskin). 2.Are you able to retract it completely? Try to slowly retract the foreskin back daily and clean the undersurface with soap and water and keep the area dry. 3.A tight foreskin presents with difficulty in the intercourse, like you may develop cracks and tears on the foreskin. 4.Please consult a Urologist who would assess the condition and provide you appropriate treatment. 5.You might require surgical removal of the foreskin (Circumcision) if the problem persists. Do not worry, it is a minor day care procedure with minimal complications. Hope this helps Good Day.

Vitamin E

Vitamin e

Vitamin e is key for strong immunity and healthy skin and eyes. In recent years, vitamin e supplements have become popular as antioxidants. These are substances that protect cells from damage. However, the risks and benefits of taking vitamin e supplements are still unclear.

Why do people take vitamin e:
Many people use vitamin e supplements in the hopes that the vitamin's antioxidant properties will prevent or treat disease. But studies of vitamin e for preventing cancer, heart disease, diabetes, Alzheimer's disease, cataracts, and many other conditions have been inconclusive.

So far, the only established benefits of vitamin e supplements are in people who have an actual deficiency. Vitamin e deficiencies are rare. They're more likely to people who have diseases, such as digestive problems and cystic fibrosis. People on very low-fat diets may also have low levels of vitamin e.

The recommended dietary allowance (rda) includes the vitamin e you get from both the food you eat and any supplements you take.

Category

Vitamin e (alpha-tocopherol): recommended dietary allowance (rda)
In milligrams (mg) and international units (iu)

Children

Breastfeeding

19 mg/day (28.5 iu)

Males

14 years and up

15 mg/day (22.4 iu)

The tolerable upper intake levels of a supplement are the highest amount that most people can take safely. Higher doses might be used to treat vitamin e deficiencies. But you should never take more unless a doctor says so.

Good sources of vitamin e include:
Vegetable oils
Green leafy vegetables, like spinach
Fortified cereals and other foods
Eggs
Nuts

Risks of taking vitamin e:

The risks and benefits of taking vitamin e are still unclear. Long-term use (over 10 years) of vitamin e has been linked to an increase in stroke.

In addition, an analysis of clinical trials found patients who took either synthetic vitamin e or natural vitamin e in doses of 400 iu per day -- or higher -- had an increased risk of dying from all causes, which seems to increase even more at higher doses. Cardiovascular studies also suggest that patients with diabetes or cardiovascular disease who take natural vitamin e at 400 iu per day have an increased risk of heart failure and heart failure-related hospitalization.

Vitamin e supplements might be harmful when taken in early pregnancy. One study found that women who took vitamin e supplementation during the first 8 weeks of pregnancy had a 1.7 to nine-fold increase in congenital heart defects. The exact amount of vitamin e supplements used by pregnant women in this study is unknown.

A large population study showed that men using a multivitamin more than seven times per week in conjunction with a separate vitamin e supplement actually had a significantly increased risk of developing prostate cancer.

Dear lybrateuser, - You don't have to worry about your future sexual health as masturbation doesn't affect it - do not overdo it as it can lead to a guilty feeling later on, control yourself & keep it to a minimum - to be healthy & fit have a well balanced diet containing fruits & vegetables, whole grains, protein foods including eggs, lean meats, milk & milk products, soya products, tofu, legumes including beans, lentils, pulses, sprouts, peas, nuts - also do regular exercise like walking, jogging, swimming, cycling, moderate weight lifting, yoga to keep your body & mind fit.
