Hi, I'm 23 years old male. I am having erectile dysfunction from past 5 years due to over masturbation. I have masturbate 3 to 8 times continuous daily for over 10 years. All these days I had thought it will be cured but Now I'm getting scared. My penis has shrinked to its fullest and all the veins have swollen up, because of the shrinkage the skin is protruding at the tip of pennis with swollen veins. The semen when I masturbate will be colourless. And very loose. I feel more and more to masturbate once I finish masturbation. I'm having severe hair loss and hair thinning. I am not able to any work or I'm always feeling dull and depressed. I have stopped masturbation from 5 days. I somewhat feel good mentally. But I have strong urges to watch porn and masturbate. Please help me. I am stuck in life. I have suicidal thoughts. My health has deteriorated. My immunity when I recently checked was some 7000. But Range was 4k to 14k for male.

Hi the description of your problem only shows your lack of knowledge about sexuality and false beliefs about mastrubation, if you are getting even a partial erection while trying to mastrubare then it si not erectile dysfunction and all other symptoms you talk about are just a part of normal physiology. But the frequency with you seem to be involving in mastrubation only suggests that you are obsessed with the thought of mastrubation. This may be because you may be a loner with put much friends and may be you are not focussed on doing any productive goal oriented work. Just try to set an goal for yourself and divert your full focus on it. Also try to connect with your friends and spend time with them. If you have difficulty in doing all these things better consult a clinical psychologist who will help you to overcome this problem.

Dear sir/madam, What is type-1 and type-2 diabetics. How can we identify that we are suffering from type-1 or type-2. Is there any symptoms to classify.

MBBS, CCEBDM, Diploma in Diabetology

Dear sir/madam, What is type-1 and type-2 diabetics.
How can we identify that we are suffering from type-1 or type-2....
Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. It is difficult to identify whether one has T1 or T2 diabetes by only symptoms. Following are the major differences in these two conditions. 1) T1 Diabetes: By and large T1 DM occurs at a much younger age including even in children & infants. In this condition there is no insulin production by the Beta cell of Islets of Langerhans in Pancreas. There are antibodies noticed against those cells. It is considered as an autoimmune diseae. These patients need Insulin for treatment and for survival. In India only 5 to 10% of total diabetic patients are suffering with T1 disease. Earlier it was called as Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus or early onset or Juvenile diabetes. 2) T2 DM: This is the commonest form seen. Over 90 to 95 % of all diabetic patients fall in this category. It occurs because of either deficient insulin production, or resistance to its action or due both. Obesity or over weight and inactivity are two major factors responsible in developing T2 DM. Plus it is a familial disease. If both parents are diabetic then 75% of children tend to get diabetes. Fortunately it is a preventable condition. If person maintains his weight near normal, exercises regularly and takes restricted and balanced diet then it can be postponed or prevented. Most often diabetes hardly produces any symptoms, hence many people fail to notice that they have the disease. Most common symptoms are excess urination, excess hunger and excess thirst, plus unexplained loss of weight and tiredness. There are many other forms of diabetes like gestational diabetes that develops during pregnancy, and others. Thanks.

Avoid using medications.. 1. avoid caffeine found in coffee, tea , chocolate, cola, and some pain relievers.[four to six hours before bedtime.] 2. quiet, dark, and cool environment can help promote sound sleep. . [Use heavy curtains, or an eye mask to block light, and also keeping computers, TVs, and other work materials out of the room will help promote mental bonding between your bedroom and sleep] 3. Avoid stressful, stimulating activities like doing work, discussing emotional issues. Physically and psychologically stressful activities can cause the body to secrete the stress hormone cortisol, which is associated with increasing alertness.

Pineal cysts usually have no clinical implications and remain asymptomatic for years. The most common symptoms include headache, vertigo, visual and oculomotor disturbances, and obstructive hydrocephalus. Less frequently, patients present with ataxia, motor and sensory impairment, mental and emotional disturbances, epilepsy, circadian rhythm disturbances, hypothalamic dysfunction of precocious puberty, and recently described occurrence of secondary parkinsonism. Symptomatic cysts vary in size from 7 mm to 45 mm, whereas asymptomatic cysts are usually less than 10 mm in diameter, although a relationship between the cyst size and the onset of symptoms has been proved to be irrelevant in many cases. There is agreement that surgical intervention should be undertaken in patients presenting with hydrocephalus, progression of neurologic symptoms, or cyst enlargement. Tissue sample of the pineal lesion can be obtained by open surgery, stereotaxy and neuroendoscopy.

High BP & Diabetes - Are They Related?

High BP & Diabetes - Are They Related?

What is High Blood Pressure?

High blood pressure or hypertension is a condition caused when the force of the blood against the arterial walls exceeds drastically than what it normally is. A blood pressure reading exceeding 140/90 over a prolonged period of time is considered to be ‘high blood pressure’ or diagnosed as ‘hypertension’.

What is Diabetes?

Diabetes is characterized by extremely high levels of blood glucose (blood sugar) in the body, either due to the insufficient secretion of insulin by the pancreas or reduced sensitivity of the body to insulin. This makes your body unable to break down the sugars. At first glance, these two conditions seem completely unrelated, but, according to certain studies, the two conditions do have similar outcomes and could be inter-dependent.

The Connect-

According to the American Diabetes Association, the combination of hypertension and type 2 diabetes is particularly lethal and can significantly raise a person's risk of having a heart attack or stroke. Having type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure also increases your chances of developing other diabetes-related diseases, such as kidney disease, and retinopathy (eye blood vessels), which may cause blindness. There is substantial overlap between diabetes and hypertension, reflecting substantial overlap in their etiology and disease mechanisms. Genetic structure, Obesity, inflammation, oxidative stress, and insulin resistance are thought to be the common pathways. A prospective cohort study in the United States reported that type 2 diabetes mellitus was almost 2.5 times as likely to develop in subjects with hypertension as in subjects with normal blood pressure.

In the Hong Kong Cardiovascular Risk Factor Prevalence Study, only 42% of people with diabetes had normal blood pressure and only 56% of people with hypertension had normal glucose tolerance. There are many minor lifestyle changes that can lower your blood pressure and blood sugar. A brisk walk for 30 to 40 minutes every day, or any aerobic activity can make your heart healthier. In addition to lowering blood pressure and blood sugar, physical activity can strengthen the heart muscle and may reduce arterial stiffness. You may need minor modifications in your diet like, cutting out sugar salt, high-fat meats etc. You can take several servings of vegetables, low-fat dairy products, leans meats and fish or meat substitutes, fruits, whole (not processed) foods, whole-grain pastas, breads, and brown rice etc. While some people can improve their type 2 diabetes and hypertension with lifestyle changes, most require medication.

Depending on their overall health, some people may need more than one medication to reduce their risk. Consult your doctor to choose best possible medicines for your diabetes and / or blood pressure control.
