Hi, I am facing muscle pain in the neck back portion, where it joins the skull. I sit long hours and read. Have also found small lumps (maybe be muscle swelling in the same region). Along with this I have developed some irritation in the inner mouth area which are like Small white dots and pain in lower wisdom tooth area Are these things related and what should I do? I hope you are not resting your neck part on the edge of wooden bed without cushion. Not to use semi sitting position while reading-it gives you neck down position. Don't worry go to a physiotherapist and learn neck exercise and have vitamins for mouth ulcers.

Hi, Apply Bakson’s Rheum Aid oil gently (2-3 times a day) and take orally Bakson’s Rheum-Aid syrup/ 1 tablespoon thrice daily. Also, increase your dietary intake of calcium which is present in green leafy vegetables, milk, milk products, sea food, white legumes, dried fig, black-eyed peas, almonds, oranges, seasame seeds. And vitamin D which is essential for absorption of calcium in our body and is synthesized naturally after getting exposed to sunlight, so early morning sunlight for 10-15min. 2-3 times a day is mandatory. Apart from this, do walk daily along with physiotherapy will also help you.

It's because of forward bending and continuous looking into phone. Do neck exercises and stop using phone for playing games or continuous use. Use it only when necessary.

Give pressure the dipping point on the portion between the thumb and the index finger on the back of the palm. Press and release for 15 times where the pain is more. This will solve the problem. Further do some wrist rotation exercise.

Hello, I am facing body pain these days. I get constant pain in my legs, back, my shoulders and headaches also. It gets worse when I have to go for some walk like 500 m. I can't sleep properly also. Ok tk physiotherapy treatment nw for 5 days then start e exercise put a roll of towel under knee and press for 10 sec then release and quadriceps exercise best for you.

Generalized body pain is commonly seen in your age due to vitamin B12 and D3 and calcium deficiency. You should get these tested and start taking supplements. Regular exercise helps. If the pain persists then tests for arthritis should be done.

Hello, Lybrate user, It might be due to spondylitis or postural deflect. Rotate your shoulders clockwise & anticlockwise. Tk, Rhus tox 200-6 pills thrice. Avoid, cold intake, lifting weight, jerks. Tk, care.

I am 24 year old male. I have right knee joint pain from 2 months. What should I do ?

Kindly show me digital x rays of affected part.(right knee) rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days bio d3 max 1tab od x10 do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Take homoeopathic medicine tellurium 1m 4pills 4 times 4 days give a gap of 1 week again repeat 4 days. In same way take 6 courses, take lots of water n try keeping that area dry n don't apply any local applications. N if its too itchy add a pinch of asafoetida to boiling water n you can apply candid dusting powder.

Avoid sitting Cross legged. Avoid Squatting- Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain.

Back pain at your age is not a good sign. Get your vitamin levels checked. Drink plenty of water and take adequate fruits and green vegetables. 10-15 almonds daily is good for your health. Exercise regularly. Avoid jumping and jogging as it aggravates back pain. Consult orthopedic surgeon if back pain persists.

(a) sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. (b) use no pillow under the head. (c) kindly take biod3 max 1 tab dailyx10 paracetamol 250mg od & sos x5days (d) do back (spine)/shoulder/knee exercises (e) make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take (f) do not ignore it. It could be beginning of a serious problem. (g) if no relief in 4_5 days, then contact me again.

Keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Hunching over a desk for long time is a leading reason why people end up with crippling back pain at some point in their lives. But a few simple changes in the way you work can make your pain go away. 1-Keep your head up; Focus on aligning your head and neck right above your shoulders; avoid straining forward. 2-Be choosy with your chair: Pick one that allows your lower back to rest against a lumbar support. Then tilt the back of the chair so it’s very slightly reclined. 3-Plant your feet: Keep them flat on the floor and shoulder-width apart to quiet tension in your knees and ankles. 4-Take breaks: Getting up at least once an hour— just do some shoulder rolls—reduces pressure on spinal disks and boosts circulation. If your back pain is severe please go to a Physiotherapist for detail assessment and management of your pain. Best wishes.
