Blood cancer is caused by abnormal growth of one of the component of blood causing suppression of others. Hence leading to symptoms like prolonged fever, anaemia, bleeding, bone pains. Etc. Hi lybrate-user, I appreciate you seeking help for your mother. Hormonal changes from monthly menstruation can trigger cysts. However, breast cysts are usually benign. Nevertheless, to be on a safer side, I would advise you to get this clinically examined by her ob/ gyn right away and not delay any further. In general, do follow a streamlined diet (preferably mediterranean) and lifestyle with due emphasis on regular exercise, stress reduction and relaxation. Should she have any pain, she may apply an alternating heat and cold treatment for couple of minutes that may alleviate the same. She needs to stay well hydrated and can take'amla churna' (patanjali) &'bael churna (patanjali- 1/2 tsp each with warm water, preferably before lunch daily for next 1 month. She can also take tomato soup to which fresh herbs like garlic, turmeric, black pepper, ginger, coriander leaves and oregano has been added, once daily. Her ob/ gyn shall be able to advise further on, in particular, once he/ she gets to clinically examine her in person. Hope this helps. Do take care and all the very best. Sincerely,

I am 48 years old. Had mastectomy in 2007 t1n1mo right breast. Had chemotherapy 6 cycles and 5 years of tamoxifen. A recent breast ultrasound shows some simple cysts in the left breast. What does it indicate? is there any chance of these cysts turning malignant please Advice.

Need not worry about simple cysts, only worrisome thing would be solid mass lesions esp irregular growth, microcalcification may also indicate premalignant lesion, also must do breast self examination for any obvious changes

Mr. Lybrate-user, I would suggest you consult a surgeon, as it may be filled with fluid or may be some other minor problem which can be sorted out.

Yes there is a relation, I explain you, prostate gland is present at the junction of urinary bladder and the urethra. Its enlargement may compress the outlet, causing weak stream, straining, frequency micturition. Checks are medicines and the surgical measures. Contact me online. Thanks. Regards.

I have a cyst in my right breast. Is that any serious issue? Can you suggest a medicine for removing that cyst ?

Dear, the cyst can either be asprated out or it can be surgically removed. As such there is no specific medicine which will dissolve the cyst. If you leave it untouched it may cause complications or gets solidified by calcification.

Every lump is not cancer but it is always better to be alert, go for ultrasound of breast. It could be a harmless lump or could be due to hormonal changes.

I am 24 year old female. I am using pregnancy conceiving tablets from last 1 and half year as I am suffering with PCOD problem. So is this a right way to take these kind of medicines for long cycles? Is this cause any harm like cancer to my body? Please reply.

Pregnancy conceiving tablets does not cause any cancer. To get pregnant you need to have fallopian tubes patent which is checked by hsg test and semen should be adequate quality which is checked by semen analysis. These both tests are done before the treatment of any infertile couple. Once the above tests are normal, then treatment with clomiphene citrate is started with monitoring of egg. Tests which r done for you are useless and will not benefit u. You need to consult a good gynecologist who would start proper treatment for u.

Nothing to worry you have done good things that you have consulted oncologist and gone for u/s of scrotal region, seems every thing is ok. Even then if you have any doubt you should go for a very simple test to rule out any malignancy (cancer): fnac from swelling in groin. (fine needle aspiration cytology)

Fibroadenoma is benign condition and it is safe. If you leave it, it will increase in size. Treatment of fibroadenoma is surgery. One fibroadenoma is removed there will be no problem related to it.

Dear, better is to get it checked. If this is a real tumor you need to have biopsy of it. This needs to be surgically removed and further treatment given after seeing the histo pathology report.

That would depend upon size of tumor, fnac report, clinical findings of the tumor. Tumor may be a cancer or may not be a cancer. for young age it may unlikely be a cancer. medicines do not regress any lump. small non cancer lumps need not be removed.

No, there is no one blood test that can rule out cancer in a healthy person with certainity. The present blood test means it is a normal study, but it does not rule out all varieties of cancer.
