Hi, please follow these tips to stop snoring: - reduce your weight if you are obese. - perform pranayama (breathing exercises) everyday. - quit smoking which irritates the mucosal layer of the nose and throat and causes blockage and results in snoring. - quit alcohol and sedatives which relax the throat muscles and results in snoring. - sleep on sides instead on back. - elevate the head by using a thick pillow which eases the breathing. - clear the nose before going to bed. - establish regular sleep pattern. - keep the bedroom air moist by using humidifier; as dry air irritates the mucosal membrane in the nose and throat. - perform throat exercises like repeating the vowels a, e, i, o, you loudly for 2-3 mins few times a day or keeping the tongue behind the teeth and moving it backwards - 3-4 times a day. - anti snoring appliances can also be used.

This could be due to wax in the ear which u have pushed further deep in the ear canal blocking it completely or u would have traumatized your ear drum while cleaning leading to pain and hearing problem. Don' t repeat it and start tab. Ibugesic plus twice a day for pain and consult an ent specialist to find out the culprit.

Hi lybrate-user Vertigo is a medical term which describes a sense if rotation even while stationary. It can often be confused with lightheadedness, generalised weakness, dizziness. Vertigo may be caused by problems in your peripheral (Ear &balance mechanism inside ear known as the vestibular system) or central nervous system.  A complete checkup is required to isolate the cause. Peripheral vestibular  system causing vertigo symptoms may need initial medications to stabilise followed by Vestibular Rehabilitation  exercises.  A good quality  of life can be achieved if properly managed. A Pure tone audiometry  and tympanometry  can detect any problem in the ear nerves and tympanic membrane pressure (both of which can be abnormal in case of ear diseases) An Xray of the Cervical Spine (AP /Lat/Lat-oblique to check for cervical spondylitis CT brain and a complete  haemogram  are some of the baseline tests needed for a good evaluation  of vertigo.

There may be some infection or wax in ear that can be ruled out after examination. Impacted wax can cause pain and hearing loss. You can get an audiometry (hearing test) done to find out amount of hearing loss.

Sir I have a vertigo problem how this vertigo will come what is the symptoms and cure.
Vertigo is often caused by an inner ear problem. Some of the most common causes include: bppv. These initials stand for benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. Bppv occurs when tiny calcium particles (canaliths) clump up in canals of the inner ear. The inner ear sends signals to the brain about head and body movements relative to gravity. It helps you keep your balance. Bppv can occur for no known reason and may be associated with age. Meniere's disease. This is an inner ear disorder thought to be caused by a buildup of fluid and changing pressure in the ear. It can cause episodes of vertigo along with ringing in the ears (tinnitus) and hearing loss. Vestibular neuritis or labyrinthitis. This is an inner ear problem usually related to infection (usually viral). The infection causes inflammation in the inner ear around nerves that are important for helping the body sense balance. Treatment for vertigo depends on what's causing it. In many cases, vertigo goes away without any treatment. This is because your brain is able to adapt, at least in part, to the inner ear changes, relying on other mechanisms to maintain balance. For some, treatment is needed and may include: vestibular rehabilitation. This is a type of physical therapy aimed at helping strengthen the vestibular system. The function of the vestibular system is to send signals to the brain about head and body movements relative to gravity.

How to cure ear glue ?

How to cure ear glue ?
When the air chamber behind the drum is replaced with fluid due to blockage of the connecting nasal tube, the discharge thickens, causes deafness and is called glue ear. The tube can get blocked due to allergy, adenoid enlargement, polyp etc. If it is causing moderate to severe deafness by audiogram and the patient is a child of school going age, then the glue needs to be removed surgically. Also the adenoid tissue behind the nose needs to be checked out. Most of the glue ears we always start with one or two attempts of medical treatment and monitor with a tympanogram (a hearing test). If the medical treatment fails then we remove the fluid surgically by a minor operation and insert small tubes called grommets for ventilation. The tube come out by itself with time. I adults, the whole area behind the nose needs thorough examination and then only treatment is started.
