Gap between vaccination of 10 week baby. As pcv and Rotavirus and other vaccination.
Ideally gap should be at least 4--8 weeks between two doses of same vaccine. Duration between two vaccines even works even if doses are forgotten.

I think what he has is umbilical hernia. Can you tell how big it is and if possible send a photo. If small, it should go as muscles become stronger. Or else surgical closure is the treatment.

Give nutritious diet with good amount of protein rich foods like egg, fish, milk, nuts etc. Gaining more weight is not advisable as it is associated with many health problems.

The Dangers Of Fast Food Diet

The Dangers Of Fast Food Diet

Are you the one who lives on burgers or packaged foods? well, then it's time for you to check your diet. These delicious food items that you die for contain excess carbohydrates and unhealthy fats that are extremely dangerous for your health. Most of these food items contain excess of carbs, fats, added sugars and salt. These items do not have sufficient nutritional values. They only offer you high calories that are harmful for the body and its various organs. Researchers have found that when most of these food items were given to lab animals, they yielded dangerous results, offering negative nutritional value to them. Prolonged exposure to these food items can affect the health of the heart, gastrointestinal organs and lead to obesity.

According to the robert wood johnson foundation, it has been found that most people underestimate the number of calories intake at a fast-food selling outlet. A 2013 study published in jama pediatrics reveals that individuals consume more calories in restaurants than at their respective home. This trend is quite dangerous. It is responsible for the occurrence of a number of diseases.

Here's why you should avoid fast foods:

Save your digestive and cardiovascular systems: fast foods are packed with unhealthy amounts of carbohydrates and fats. When these are consumed, our digestive system breaks down these carbs into sugar or glucose. The glucose is then released into the blood. As the blood is loaded with sugar, pancreas releases insulin hormone into the body. Insulin regulates the transportation of the sugar to cells. As the sugar reaches various cells, pancreas releases another hormone-glucagon. It commands the liver to make use of the sugar. Now, when excess sugar is produced in the body due to intake of fast foods, the balance between insulin and glucagon is hampered and the level of sugar in bloodstream changes. Consequently, you develop type 2 diabetes.

Check your weight and heart: the added sugars and unsaturated fats in the fast foods lead to obesity. You consume more calories and as a result of which your body weight increases. This is quite dangerous for your health. Under such circumstances, you tend to develop chronic heart diseases due to the increasing levels of cholesterol in your body.

Your kidney is at risk: fast foods often contain excess salt. The intake of fast foods changes the level of sodium in the body. Sodium is responsible for maintaining the fluid content in the body. Increasing fluid levels due to intake of excess sodium in the form of salt exerts pressure on the heart muscle and causes high blood pressure. Besides, excess sodium also damages the kidney.

Protect your respiratory system:

According to a study in journal thorax, children who eat excess fast food are at increased risk of developing asthma and rhinitis. In fact, increased body weight puts extra pressure on your respiratory organs and causes difficulty in breathing.

Affects central nervous system: intake of junk food affects the brain synapses and the molecules that are related to the process of memory and learning in both children and adults.

Dear sirs/madam, My daughter is studying fifth standard at a residential school. Nowadays we get complaints from the school frequently that she is steeling other students things, telling lies for each and every thing and not giving respect to senior students. And the school management reported us about the above problems and told taht if she continues the same then we will send her back. I don't know how handle and how to correct her. I here bu humbly request your good self to give one solution for the above problem. Please do the need full. Thanking you.

Hi I feel that your child is lacking emotional support. Sit with her and talk to her politely and ask her why she is doing all these things. Find out the reason behind her actions. When a child lies to her parents, it may be because of your strict discipline. She feels scared to share with you. Spend quality time with your child and understand her. Teach her how to behave. For every good behaviour give reward. Do not delay the reward, it should be in the form of appreciation, tokens, gifts or taking her out etc. Make a behaviour chart for her. This will help you.

Nocturnal enuresis is more common in female pt. Initially we try alarm therapy. Never annoy with your children. Encourage her for going to toilet. Help her to wake up two times in night. If not responding to alarm therapy then write me.

Avoid cows milk as that may be a reason of intolerance to food. Give mothers milk and formula powder milk till 12 month age, still if vomit continue then see paediatrician to check for reflux or any other concerns.

Sir my baby is 6 month old. He is suffering from cough & cold. Wt is dose of ascoril ls drop for baby.

MBBS MD DCH, Dch
Pediatrician, Muzaffarpur
Sir my baby is 6 month old. He is suffering from cough & cold. Wt is dose of ascoril ls drop for baby.
Cough and cold is quite common benign and self limiting in young baby and does not warrant any medicine as they are commonly viral infection. In fact cough and cold SYRUP does more harm than good. At most you can instill saline nasal drops in case of nasal blockage. Unless cough and cold is associated with rapid respiration fever and respiratory distress you need not go to any doctor. Unfortunately many shall prescribe even antibiotics which is never necessary. Home made KARHA TULSI JUICE and honey work well without any side effects Best wishes for rapid recovery Arun shah Muzaffarpur.

My son is about 6 years 6months old suffering allergy-asthma from approximately 3 years back. Budecort (100 mg) inhaler & levolin inhaler, montelukast 5mg is consuming everyday as per advice of doctor. Please suggest.

MD PULMONARY, DTCD
Pulmonologist, Faridabad
In my opinion combine budecart 100 with formetrol a long acting beta 2 agonist 200, to be given by spacer and reduce dependence on levolin inhalation. In good control asthmatics need of levolin inh. Should be nil /less than once/week. This combination is available in market with different name like budamate 100/200.
