Two months ago I visited a call girl in a massage parlour. Though I had a protected sex, being idiotic, I gave her oral. From that very night I had been feeling cough. Then I got sore throats. It's been two months but not cured yet in spite of having paracetamol and antibiotics purchased from local pharmacy. I checked that I have got white spots in my swollen throat. Have I got gonorrhoea? Is it curable? Please help.

Diploma in Anesthesia, MBBS
General Physician, Hyderabad
Please avoid taking self medication, which will harm your body. You are having these symptoms since two months and still experimenting which again will harm the body and will make your condition difficult to treat. So consult an ENT surgeon, who will examine and will advise appropriate treatment. Good luck.

To give her abortion pill, pregnancy needs to be confirmed first. It can be confirmed by urine test after 7 days of missed period i. E. On 31st march. Before that time pregnancy test will come negative. Menses can be delayed naturally by hormonal changes also. So wait till 31st march.

I am suffering from pain at periods time .its pain start from first day nd almost its all day pain upto last day.
You can take homoeopathic medicine mag phos 30 - 5 pills 3-4 times daily 2-3 days prior to your periods untill periods stop for the acute pain. Homoeopathy can help in complete recovery from this ailment also but it requires a detailed case taking and observation of the patient through personal consultation. We will suggest you to consult personally for the same.

If your fibroid is very big and your bleeding can not be controlled with medicines, then you might need a myomectomy i.e removal of fibroid. First try a conservative treatment with medicines but I think that your gynaecologist is the best to guide you for this problem.

Facts Every Woman Should Know About Heart Disease

Facts Every Woman Should Know About Heart Disease

Heart disease doesn't affect all women in the same way and neither does it have the same warning signs as heart diseases in men. For women, heart disease is a bigger threat than breast cancer. Cardiovascular diseases also kill more women than men as the disease progresses differently in men and women. Here are a few things you should know about heart diseases.

Women have more atypical symptoms of heart attacks: The classic symptoms of heart attacks are pain in the left arm, chest pain and heart palpitations. Though women may exhibit these symptoms, they are more likely to have atypical symptoms. These include nausea, stomach aches, pain in the shoulders and upper back and extreme fatigue.

Preeclampsia and gestational diabetes can increase risks of heart disease: Even though your blood pressure may go back to normal and conditions like preeclampsia or gestational diabetes may go away post pregnancy, their effects linger on. The risk of heart disease for a woman who suffered from preeclampsia doubles while gestational diabetes can cause glucose intolerance leading to obesity or other such conditions which are risk factors for heart diseases.

Hot flashes could be a sign of heart problems: Hot flashes are usually associated with menopause but may also be a symptom of underlying heart problems. Hot flashes that occur after a exerting a strenuous effort on something can be a sign of angina in women.

Men and women do not face equal risks: Traditional risks to heart diseases such as cholesterol, obesity and high blood pressure affect both men and women but some factors such as diabetes, stress, depression and smoking affect women more than they affect men. Since women tend to lead a more sedentary lifestyle than men, a lack of exercise also affects them more than it affects men. In addition, a low level of estrogen can also increase the risk of cardiovascular conditions. This is usually seen after menopause.

Metabolic syndrome increase your risk of getting a stroke:

There are five metabolic risk factors for heart disease. If you have 3 or more of them, it is termed as metabolic syndrome. These risk factors are:

  1. A waist circumference of more than 35". This is also called abdominal obesity
  2. A triglyceride level higher than 150 mg/dL
  3. A low level of good cholesterol i.e. HDL cholesterol that is less than 50mg/dL
  4. High blood pressure
  5. High blood sugar. This could also be a sign of diabetes.

While some factors like genetics are out of our control, most of these factors can be controlled by conscious lifestyle changes. Your doctor may also prescribe medication for the same. Heart disease can occur at any time so do not take your heart for granted.

Six Tips For Face Washing

MD - Skin,VD & Lepxsy
Dermatologist, Hyderabad
Six Tips For Face Washing
How you wash your face can make a difference in your appearance. Follow these tips from dermatologists to help you keep your face looking healthy.

1. Use a gentle, non-abrasive cleanser that does not contain alcohol.

2 wet your face with lukewarm water and use your fingertips to apply cleanser. Using a washcloth, mesh sponge, or anything other than your fingertips can irritate your skin.

3. Resist the temptation to scrub your skin because scrubbing irritates the skin.

4. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry with a soft towel.

5. Apply moisturizer if your skin is dry or itchy. Be gentle when applying any cream around your eyes so you do not pull too hard on this delicate skin.

6. Limit washing to twice a day and after sweating. Wash your face once in the morning and once at night, as well as after sweating heavily. Perspiration, especially when wearing a hat or helmet, irritates the skin. Wash your skin as soon as possible after sweating.

If you have questions or concerns about caring for your skin, you should make an appointment with Dr. Venus

This is a side effect of unwanted 72. It makes your menstrual cycle irregular. It's effect takes 1-2 months to go away. Remember it is not a routine contraceptive but an emergency contraceptive and can cause lot of side effects. So use it carefully. Use condoms instead.
