I am a thyroid patient & often I get angry, is this natural? what should I do to control my anger.

Dear, anger and aggression are emotions. Anger comes when you become irritated. Irritation happens when you don't like something, or when something is repeated. As anger is an emotion, it should be vent out. You should be able to throw anger out instead of controlling it. But more perfect will be, know the frustrating situations and stop being emotional. If practiced properly, you will not get irritated at those circumstances at all. Those techniques are much easier to understand.

Having twins is a tough job for the mother in any circumstances. While they are a double blessing they can be a twice the workload. You must immediately find support in the form of a nanny or from family members like your mom or your MIL. This will relieve you considerably and your mood will be of a better order. You need breaks for yourself and more importantly, you need to get some of your needs met in various ways. Your husband must support your role as a mother-of-two in one shot and therefore will have greater needs than a mother with only one kid. You must speak to him and make him understand that you need his love and care too to manage your role with the twins. Also, if you find someone to talk about your feelings that will make a big difference to your composure. Please remember that you cannot be a supermom and fulfill all the demands without support.

Mental Health - Know How Excessive Use of Social Networking Affects it!

Social networking refers to a multitude of websites that let the people from across the globe to get in touch with each other and interact through photos, videos discussions or audio. To name a few, Facebook tops the list by having over 1.2 billion active users monthly from across the world, followed by Twitter, Snapchat and LinkedIn.

As per the latest statistics, around 42% of people online at one time, is using social networking sites either on their laptops or mobiles. Majority of this population is below 30 years of age, whereas the figure is changing for internet users aged 65 years and above. People use these sites to stay in touch with family and friends, to share things, express their views on matters and to find out what's happening in the other corner of the world.

But this usage can have many negative effects on the mental health and well-being of users both children and adults.

  1. It is addictive: It has been analyzed that these social networking sites are often addictive with people using them daily or even several times during a day. They log in to these sites for many reasons like to overcome boredom, distraction, to check their likes and comments which are usually a positive support after posting a status or information.
  2. It makes us do unfair comparisons: Various posts on social media at times make people compare their lives with others. And it is said, the grass is always greener on the other side, it makes you feel low thinking how idealized are the lives of people connected to you.
  3. Social media makes us restless: Many people start feeling restless when they are unable to access their social media accounts.
  4. Cyberbullying: Social media increases cyberbullying specifically in adolescents.
  5. Increased use of alcohol: Social media glamorizes the use of drugs and alcohol since the teenagers often view the pictures of people using it and out of peer pressure would like to try them.
  6. Social media increases unhappiness: Enthusiastic users feel that social media fluctuates their moods also leaving them dissatisfied in their lives.
  7. FOMO: It might also lead to FOMO, fear of missing out. Pinterest might give you a feeling that you are not creative or talented, Twitter and Facebook might make you feel that you are not smart and are not enjoying your life enough.

Excess of social networking might also lead to problems like stress and anxiety, feeling of imperfection, may induce a feeling of being miserable or in some cases might even cripple the basic need for social interaction. It has been known to create a digital landscape, exerts an unnecessary and increased pressure on the generation today and the general population has to a larger extent. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a doctor.

It is all due to Anxiety that you are facing this issue of not sleeping properly at night. I would suggest either you talk your anxiety out or write down the same on paper, tearing it of and then throwing it off in a dustbin thus allowing you to vent out your baggage of emotions, feelings and thoughts. If need be take a warm shower making you more relaxed before dinner.

I can not concentrate on my study exam are coming next month I can not study for constant 30 minute I want study and pass CMA exam I remind my family and where I come from and why am I doing this but it nothing work I can not push my self feeling stress about it need help.

1) Find an appropriate study environment. Generally, it is a good idea to eliminate distractions as much as possible while studying, so you can concentrate on what's in front of you. Find a quiet area, such as a private room or a library. If you like fresh air, go outside to an area that is reasonably free of distractions, and somewhere you can still connect to Internet, if necessary. 2) Gather all of your studying materials. Your studying materials include things like notes, textbooks, study guides, papers, highlighters, or anything else you might need to concentrate and be productive while studying; this includes a snack like a granola bar or nuts, and a bottle of water. 3) Turn off any electronics that you don't need, especially cell phones, music listening devices, and perhaps computers (provided you don't need a computer to study your material). 4) Arrange a schedule for study time, and keep with it. This allows you to build studying time into a habit, making you more likely to follow through on study plans. Be aware of your energy levels throughout the day. Are you more energetic (and therefore more able to concentrate) during the day or nighttime] It may help to study your harder subjects when you have the most energy. 5) make remembering cards by drawing, menomics, flashcards to improve memory.

Dear lybrate user, there has to be some strong reason behind her fear. Talk to her what is so fearful about other people coming home? encourage her to talk about what she starts thinking about when someone is visiting your home. Try to understand her thoughts and feelings. Does she feel tired, scared, bored, used, judged, taken for granted etc. Then see how you can help her to modify her thoughts. See if she needs any kind of support from you. About her behavioural changes, it appears to me that your wife has learnt this behaviour from her parents/grandparents/teachers etc. Probably she thinks that it is ok to behave like this. She is not realising how distressing it is for you. Firstly, when she is not angry, talk to her and try to learn more about her parents and their way of showing their anger or frustration. You will get some clue. Then you can show her that she is also expressing her displeasure or anger in the same way and it hurts you. You may tell her a few other alternatives to express anger - like what you do when you get angry or frustrated. The abusive language also she must have learnt in her childhood. Ask her to make conscious efforts to use alternative and mild words. Tell her how her abusive language impacts other people and ultimately her relations with them. You will need little patience. But once you make her aware of these things she will know that she is hurting others and there are better ways to express negative feelings. All the best.

"Bipolar disorder" can be vanished totally or not? I am taking medicine from very long period of time.

"Bipolar disorder" can be vanished totally or not? I am taking medicine from very long period of time.
Yes, you can come out of this condition. It can be a crippling disease if not treated and if treated early the prognosis is good. You must comply with all the medical prescriptions and work in tandem with a counselor for a long time and learn coping skills and techniques to handle the daily challenges you will face. There are certain adaptations that will suit you during the elation phase and there are certain behaviors that are required during the depressed phases. In the meantime you can do certain things that will give you benefits anyway. Emotional therapy will alleviate a lot of the problems faced in this condition because it is a mood disorder. You need to particularly look at your levels of anger both for its reasonableness and to express it in appropriate manner. I suspect that much of this anger may have origins in early childhood that you may never be aware of now. Talk to your parents and explore that angle. This information will help the counselor too. Also you will need to check whether there is any genetic factor involved. You must exercise regularly, eat healthily and sleep normally too. If your motivation and cooperation is good much can be achieved. You must have a time-structured schedule filled with interesting and reasonable activities and it must be monitored for compliance and delivery. The reason I say this is that many times you will be inclined to have grandiose notions and confidently believe that you can do without the medication. This will set you back many months in the treatment and delay and sabotage the recovery: forewarned you are forearmed. If this combination of medication with therapy is maintained for at least three years without any episodes or breakdowns, it is possible to taper the medication in consonance with the doctor. Bipolar is characterized by two extreme poles i.e. feeling very high (mania) and suddenly feeling very low (depression). You can ask the doctor for the symptoms he noticed in you for a personal understanding.

HI. The best decision is move away from this negativity and people who value money more than your worth. its good that you got rid of her and you should not ever think of going back to the same person. You are very very young. A lot of girls will enter your life and you will form meaningful relations. Tell your friends strictly not to mention about her. The best way to make someone realize is MOVE ON. Focus on building a career and have meaningful relation and friendship. Soon it will be fine.

Hi, I understand your situation. I would like to know about the stress in your life in detail. whether something is making depression worse or is causing the depression. eat healthy: Don’t skip meals. Going too long between meals can make you feel irritable and tired, so aim to eat something at least every three to four hours. Minimize sugar and refined carbs. You may crave sugary snacks, baked goods, or comfort foods such as pasta or French fries, but these “feel-good” foods quickly lead to a crash in mood and energy. Focus on complex carbohydrates. Foods such as baked potatoes, whole-wheat pasta, oatmeal, and whole grain breads can boost serotonin levels without a crash. Boost your B vitamins. Deficiencies in B vitamins such as folic acid and B-12 can trigger depression. To get more, take a B-complex vitamin supplement or eat more citrus fruit, leafy greens, beans, chicken, and eggs. 2)Push yourself to do things, even when you don’t feel like it. You might be surprised at how much better you feel once you’re out in the world. Even if your depression doesn’t lift immediately, you’ll gradually feel more upbeat and energetic as you make time for fun activities. 3) Practice relaxation techniques. A daily relaxation practice can help relieve symptoms of depression, reduce stress, and boost feelings of joy and well-being. Try yoga, deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, or meditation. For any problem in your life which is causing stress. consult me. Don't worry you will be better. After analyzing the severity of your depression or situation, it can be clearer if you need medication or not.
