चिकन पॉक्स एक बहुत ही संक्रामक बीमारी है, जो कि वैरिकाला-ज़ोस्टर वायरस के कारण होती है। यह पूरे शरीर में खुजली वाली चकत्ते और लाल धब्बे या छाले (पॉक्स) पैदा करता है। यह बच्चों में सबसे आम है। चिकन पॉक्स उन लोगों के लिए बेहद संक्रामक है, जो इस बीमारी से पहले कभी पीड़ित नहीं हुए हैं या जिन्होने इसके खिलाफ टीका नहीं लगवाया है। 

चिकन पॉक्स संक्रमण, वायरस के संपर्क के 10 से 21 दिन बाद होता है और आम तौर पर लगभग 5 से 10 दिनों तक रहता है। लाल चकत्ते चिकन पॉक्स के सबसे आम लक्षण हैं। व्यक्ति के संक्रमित होने के 2 दिन बाद दाने शरीर पर प्रकट होते हैं। दाना एक छाले मे बदल जाता है और फिर फट कर पपड़ी बन जाता है। अन्य लक्षणों में बुखार, थकान, भूख की हानि और मांसपेशियों का दर्द शामिल है। 

चिकन पॉक्स आम तौर पर एक मृदु बीमारी है। लेकिन यह गंभीर हो सकती है और जटिलताओं या मृत्यु को जन्म दे सकती है, खासकर उच्च जोखिम वाले लोगों में। चिकन पॉक्स त्वचा, कोमल ऊतकों, हड्डियों, जोड़ों या रक्तप्रवाह (सेप्सिस) के बैक्टीरिया संक्रमण सहित निर्जलीकरण, निमोनिया, मस्तिष्क की सूजन (एन्सेफलाइटिस), टॉक्सिक शॉक सिंड्रोम आदि जैसी जटिलताओं को जन्म दे सकता है। 

चिकन पॉक्स के लिए घरेलू उपचार
आम तौर पर, चिकन पॉक्स के ज्यादातर लक्षण लगभग दो हफ्तों में कम हो जाते हैं। अधिकांश स्वस्थ बच्चों और वयस्कों को चिकन पॉक्स के लिए चिकित्सा उपचार की आवश्यकता नहीं होती है। हालांकि, आप इन प्राकृतिक घरेलू उपचारों में से कुछ का उपयोग कुछ लक्षणों को कम करने और जल्दी ही खुजली से राहत प्राप्त करने के लिए कर सकते हैं:

1. बेकिंग सोडा:
चिकन पॉक्स की वजह से होने वाली खुजली और जलन को नियंत्रित करने के लिए बेकिंग सोडा बहुत प्रभावी है। बेकिंग सोडा त्वचा को अपने पी एच स्तर को बनाए रखने में मदद करता है। बस एक गिलास पानी में बेकिंग सोडा का आधा चम्मच जोड़ें। शरीर के प्रभावित हिस्सों पर इस समाधान को लागू करने के लिए एक नरम स्पंज या खीसा का प्रयोग करें। इसके अलावा, स्नान करने के लिए पानी में थोड़ा बेकिंग सोडा जोड़ना भी सहायक हो सकता है।

2. नीम:
नीम, जिसे भारतीय बकाइन के रूप में भी जाना जाता है, में मजबूत एंटीवायरल गुण हैं। इसलिए, यह वैरिकाला ज़ोस्टर वायरस का मुकाबला कर सकता है, और छाले को सुखाने में और खुजली को दूर करने में मदद करता है। एक मुट्ठी नीम के पत्ते लें, उन्हें कुचल दें और प्रभावित क्षेत्रों पर पेस्ट को लागू करें। स्नान के पानी में नीम के पत्तों को जोड़ना भी फायदेमंद है। 

3. गाजर और धनिया:
गाजर और धनिया आवश्यक विटामिन और खनिजों से भरपूर हैं जो प्रतिरक्षा प्रणाली को बढ़ावा देते हैं। इसके अलावा, वे शरीर से हानिकारक विषाक्त पदार्थों को निकालने में मदद करते हैं और उससे शुद्ध करने में मदद करते हैं। लगभग 2 कप पानी में कटा हुआ गाजर का एक कप और ताजा धनिया का आधा कप उबालें। इसे लगभग 15 मिनट तक धीमी आंच पर रखें और फिर गैस से हटा, इसे छान लें। इसे नियमित रूप से दिन में एक बार पीना। 

4. जई:
जई के एंटीवायरल और विरोधी भड़काऊ गुणों के कारण दर्द और खुजली को दूर करने में मदद करता है। सदियों से, जई का इस्तेमाल त्वचा की समस्याओं को दूर करने के लिए किया गया है। यह न केवल दर्द और खुजली को कम करता है, बल्कि यह चिकन पॉक्स फैलाने वाले वायरस से भी लड़ता है। एक महीन पाउडर बनाने के लिए दो कप जई को कुचल लें। इस जई के पाउडर को 2 लीटर पानी में मिलाकर लगभग 15 मिनट तक छोड़ दें। जई को कपड़े के एक बैग में डालें और इसे कसकर बांधें। अब अपने आप को इस नहाने के पानी में लगभग 15 मिनट के लिए भिगोएँ।

5. शहद:
चिकन पॉक्स की वजह से खुजली और चकत्ते का इलाज करने के लिए शहद का भी इस्तेमाल किया जा सकता है। एक दिन में 2-3 बार प्रभावित क्षेत्र पर थोड़ा शहद रगड़ें।

Staying Fit With a Busy Schedule

Working out and staying fit might be on your do to list every day. But honestly ask yourself how often do you actually check it off your list. Yes, you want to work out but there are other things which come first meetings, taxes, work, office, family etc. This busy life style really turns your whole system upside down, from sleeping to eating to exercising. But staying super healthy is just as important as your super busy lifestyle. Here are some tips that might benefit you!

Here's how you can remain fit and healthy despite your hectic-rushed-did I mention occupied-tiring routine.

Priorities and commitment:
The most important step is to prioritize and commit. The way you prioritize work and ensure its completion within the time frame you give yourself, the same way you must commit to your work out. If you don't have the time to hit the gym then use pre planned short work outs. Now days so many work out apps are also available. Not to forget the medieval (yet most efficient) means like walking, cycling, skipping etc. It's always better to choose something over nothing! you really don't need one whole hour of a vigorous work out; even half an hour is good enough. Circuit training is another great alternative to work out with a time crunch it raises the heart rate and strengthens the muscles win win situation!

Use various methods to exercise:
Consistency is essential. You can't work out for 2 days and expect to see results on the third day! no matter how busy your day might be, it's essential to exercise for at least half an hour everyday to achieve results. It is scientifically proven that our body takes 21 days to develop a certain habit; so after you push yourself for 3 weeks it will eventually seem normal. Your daily physical activity must be creative. Take the stairs to work or up to your house. Avoid lifts and use the stairs instead. Buy a treadmill or a cycle and keep it in the corner of your office or room to use whenever possible. Go for a walk on the golf course the day the weather is to die for. Use different methods of exercise to ensure that 30 minute daily dose!

Find fitness in every activity:
Prefer stairs in stead of lifts in your office. Try to walk after dinner, it'll help with the digestion and exercise. Try to squeeze in a walk during breaks and lunch. If possible you can even schedule a" walking meeting. Walk around terminals while waiting for your public transport. If you drive yourself then try to park far away so that you can walk just a little (this does add up to enough exercise eventually). Avoid fast food and drive in's, try to find a healthier food option. Try reading or watching tv while you walk on a treadmill or use a stationary cycle. Even our pets are becoming fatter, take your dog out for a walk to help both of you. It's little bits of exercise like this which will help you stay healthy and fit!

If you do end up missing your workout for whatever reason, then make sure you make up for it sometime during the weekend. Try to work out as much as you can during your breaks, even when you watch tv you could do some exercises during the commercial breaks. It's all about forming that mindset.

Yes it is safe. If you are having regular periods then there are no chance of pregnancy. But my personal advise is to avoid such pills as they have many side effects. Better choose condoms.

Is there any medicine to increase the level of regestrone n is it harmful to take regestrone tablets.
Regesterone is a synthetic progesterone and it is given as oral pills, harm is that it is masquiline hormone - leads to water retention, weight gain and low cycle, even after stopping this, it remains in the system for few months for normal unaffected cycle to start. Not given during pregnancy.

Limping - Can It Be A Sign Of Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD)?

Claudication is commonly known as limping. It is one of the many significant indications of Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD). It can also happen to patients having vascular problems like aneurysms. Claudication is generally a painful and uneasy sensation in a set of muscles of the limbs, thighs, or backsides. The pain is usually increased by movement and calmed with rest.

Causes
Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) is the result of atherosclerosis, the inurement of arteries from the build-up of cholesterol plaques that collect on the internal coating of the arteries. This is common at splitting points of the arteries in the limbs. Obstruction of the arteries from these plaques result in reduced flow of blood to the leg muscles. This could be a problem when moving or working out, the muscles in the limbs need increased blood flow in order to upsurge the oxygen to the blood cells. Atherosclerotic plaques result in reduced blood flow and diminished oxygen. Due to this, the leg muscles often end up aching and burning due to insufficient presence of oxygen. This pain is often felt as cramps to the patient.

Symptoms
Pain in the limbs is the key indicator of claudication. Aching can be shrill or dull, aching or accompanied by soreness or burning. The extent of the Peripheral Artery Disease, the position of the plaque, plus the action of the leg muscles (walking or exercising or resting) control the harshness of symptoms and place of discomfort or agony.
Severe pain in the calf region is the typical place for cramps. This is because atherosclerotic plaques usually start out in the arteries furthest from the cardiac muscle. If the obstruction or formation of plaque is way up the leg, the agony from claudication could be felt in the thigh area. If the issue is in the aorta, symptoms can include pain in the bottoms or groin area.

Treatment
Treating Claudication includes remedial therapy. These therapy sessions may or may not involve revascularization or angioplasty. Patients with claudication are given medical treatment aimed at reducing the pain. However, reduction of risk issues, physical activity, and using medicines that could improve the possible distance a patient could walk, is the chief aim of treatment.

Debilitating claudication that stops patients from working or living a regular life usually finds a resort in revascularization measures. These procedures comprise of percutaneous angioplasty and a surgical method that circumvents the blockage. Stenting of the congested vessels is also an option. However, now there are plenty of medications that can help in reducing its symptoms and assist the patient in being freely mobile.

Victims of claudication can take care of their pain with prescribed exercises and fitness schemes.
