Sir, go for Ayurveda's Panchkarma Therapy - We have many option for u - Kati Basti (Specialised Panchakarma procedure for Backpains), Localised Massgae with Herbal oils, Localised Medicated Steam, Pottali Massage. Continue these procedures for atleast 15 days. Regular oiling of the joint will improve the lubrication also. These procedures will relax ur back muscles and give strength to ur nerves and muscles of back. also start some Yogic exercises - Tadasana, Dhanurasan, halasana along with these therapies. This will greatly help. Please avoid pushing / pulling heavy objects, long sittings, long two-wheeler drives. Although some herbal medicines might also help you but after proper history taking. For that u may consult me privately over Lyberate. Please update with ur valuable feedback after 15 days.\

I am 41 year old obese female and for the past couple of weeks I am having pain under the ribcage and is intolerable. Previously over the past years I had the same but it used to reduce with massage with any cream or balm. I do a job where I have to sit continuously for 3 hours and I feel it is from it where I did the 6 hour shift at a stretch for the two weeks of this month.

Sitting continuously especially after meals causes problems. This could be a case of acidity. Keep a track of your diet n notice if the pain increases after eating certain foods like rajma, Chile, fried foods etc. Start doing some exercise like walking to reduce weight.

pain is complex phenomenon, so there are many treatment options medications, therapies, and mind-body techniques. Apart from pain killers, there is evidence that certain dietary supplements and vitamins can help with certain types of pain. Fish oil is often used to reduce pain associated with swelling. A therapeutic diet complemented with few medications for pain management can also work wonders. Do reply back for medication prescriptions. Being also a general physician and registered dietitian, I prescribe both evidence based herbal as well as allopathic medicines complementing with dietary guidelines and home remedies carefully personalized for each individual patient.
