Knee pain is a common complaint that affects people of all ages. Knee pain may be the result of an injury or some other medical conditions including arthritis, patellar tendinitis, acl injury, knee bursitis, torn meniscus, gout and infections. Try some home remedies for your pain- - ice is useful for the control of pain and swelling. It can be applied to the knee for 15 to 20 minutes as often as every two to four hours. The swollen knee should be elevated above the level of the heart while icing. -activities that cause pain should be avoided temporarily. -if the knee is swollen or sore, the following positions and activities should be avoided until knee pain and swelling resolve: squatting kneeling twisting and pivoting jogging aerobics, dancing playing sport specific exercises will help you improve range of motion, strength, and endurance. It is especially important to focus on strengthening and stretching your quadriceps since these muscles are the main stabilizers of your kneecap. Core exercises may also be recommended to strengthen the muscles in your abdomen and lower back. Also maintaining a healthy body weight to avoid overstressing your knees are very important. -a full history of your problem should be taken and your movements assessed by a physiotherapist.

Hello , make sure you take good food with more nutrition values. I know now a days its not possible to get good nutrition from food in our busy life. You can go with food supplements, like iron, calcium which helps you to maintain good metabolism. While you are working 1glass water for every 1hrs. Which keeps you active. Don't sit for long hours. Some calories has to be burnt. So, take some 15 mins time to do a regular walk. Physical activity is must. Keep some dry fruits like badam, kaju. Etc. Let me help you with more info required. Hi here are 6 ways to gain weight healthily: 1. Eating 5 to 6 meals a day in order to gain weight, start eating 5-6 meals a day by breaking them into parts. Eating a lot at once may cause indigestion if the body fails to absorb all nutrients. Eat in small amounts, even if you are not hungry and there will be an increase in appetite from day to day. The aim should be to have a generously portioned breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as two to three snacks in between. 2. Start weight training if you build your muscles through weight training, it will convert the extra weight into lean body mass and also stimulate your appetite. The extra muscle increases the rate of metabolism. When you start exercising you will often experience extreme muscle soreness but it goes away in 3-5 days. 3. Load up on protein besides weight training, a protein-rich diet can help you gain mass. Eating a meal heavy in protein shortly after finishing exercise can be highly effective in adding extra pounds to your body. However, a diet focused only on lean protein is not helpful. It is important to make sure that your diet has plenty of fat in it. Eat foods rich in protein like cheese, meat, eggs, etc to gain weight in a healthy manner. 4. Workout your entire body a lot of people focus only on training the muscles on their arms, chest and shoulders and this is a grave error. Firstly, it will give you a disproportionate body; and it will make you prone to injuries. Therefore, it's important to work out the entire body for a complete and balanced look. 5. Drink your calories to reach the calorie requirement only by eating may be tough. Drinking milk, milkshakes or protein shakes with little or no sugar can be an effective way to load up on the calorie requirements. 6. Be patient and believe in yourself gaining weight quickly in a healthy manner is unrealistic. Every body type is different and it takes months to gain weight. Living healthy by eating the right diet will increase your strength. It is also important to keep following the routine even if you don't see any gains. Caution: junk food and fried foods must be avoided; although have a tendency to add more fat to your body but are very low in vitamins and minerals which are essentially required to keep you really fit.

kindly follow advises given below Avoid exertion, Take Tablet Paracetamol 500 mg after food as and when required for Fever more than 99 F (maximum 3 tablets with gap of 8 hr can be taken in a day) for 3 days, lot of fluids to be taken, Take proper diet homemade food like moong dal dalia, chapati etc Avoid wearing synthetic and tight cloths.. Hello lybrate user you have to increase proteins & carbohydrates in your diet. Include more dairy products in your diet also add a glass of milk with added dry fruits one in morning. You can also use ashwagandha powder 2tsf in a glass of warm milk at bed time.

You can do muscle building exercise.Eat food 5-6 times instead of 4 meals.Do not skip meals.Avoid smoking,alcohol.These leads to weight loss.Avoid fast foods as far as possible.No water just before or during meals.Use dense fruits,vegetables.Take extra protein foods in diet.Add healthy fats in cooking.Take nuts,seeds whenever you like.Take proper rest at night.Use nutritional supplement.These are common things but for more details consult me privately on Lybrate.

I have knocking sound from my knees whenever i move it. suggest ways to overcome this.?

Knocking sounds around your knees. Firstly we need to know your age. If your elderly the sounds can be crepitus and be a part of arthritis. However if you're young it could be just a snapping noise from soft tissue structures around the kneecap. If these noises are not associated with pain you need not worry about it. However to reduce the noise you might need to do exercises to strengthen the knee cap. Clicking noises are due to cartilage tear and might warrant further investigation like mri and usually associated with mechanical symptoms and pain.
