I am a 26 year old man. I have a backache pain would you suggest me some health tips.
Hello, there are many reasons for this type of pain- 1. Overuse of muscle, 2. Deficiency of vitamin d3 or calcium, or lack of water in the body, 3. Postural stress, 4. Muscle strain, etc. Please send me all investigation reports if available. I can help you by teaching correct postural habits and ergonomics, do consult me privately. Till then follow these advises:- 1. Take calcium supplements and calcium rich diet like milk, paneer, buttermilk, cheese etc and sun bath daily to prevent further damage to your joints. 2. Avoid heavy lifting. 3. Avoid squatting and weight bearing activities. 4. Use western toilet. 5. Wear shock absorbing, good quality of shoes while walking. 6. Keep roll of a towel under your knees while sleeping. 7. Perform some gentle exercises and stretching of your all joints before getting out of your bed. 8. Walk straight with shoulder protracted. 9. Perform deep breathing exercises or yoga for proper functioning of lungs. 10. Perform calf pumping exercises, which i'll explain you in the next session. Thanks.

Kindly show me your x rays.You may Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Kindly take BioD3 Max 1 tab dailyx10 Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x5days Do knee exercises Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take Do not ignore it. It could be beginning of a serious problem. If no relief in 4_5 days,then contact me again.

Gentle Shoulder Stretching. Core Strengthening Exercises. Gentle Neck Exercises. Avoid sleeping on affected side.. Warm up and cool down is a must. Hot fomentation.

Tens therapy and ultrasonic therapy for 15 days and di strength exercise in gradually process like quadriceps. Problem is arthritis so do gradually. And avoid long standing cross legs and squatting.

Calf muscle are stiff so tk heat fermentation with warm water for 20 minutes and apply pain relief ointment and avoid long standing. After relief do calf stretching exercise.

Ensuring proper evacuation of bowels. Constipation should be avoided at all cost. Include ghee in your diet. Applying heat on affected areas will help to relieve pain and stiffness. Take light foods and avoid excess oily foods and curds. Avoid day sleeping. Yoga asanas such as pawana muktasana, bhujangasana, dhanurasana, paschimottanasana, vakrasana are beneficial for this disease. Practice pranayama such as nadi shodhana, chandrabhedi sheethali & bhramari.

I am 65 years old with controlled bp by taking mild doses of medicine but for last one yr, have been suffering from knee-pains more on left while climbing stairs up or down. Walking 45 monts at dawn-time plus yoga n knee-pain exercise except sunday (rest day. Six months back had taken homeo mediclne like clmlclfuga, guaiacum. Now putting finger- pressure at back of knee-joint for last 15 days. At present pains are little less. Can you prescribe best knee-pain exercises and yoga. Not interested in any type of medicine

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. I am an orthopaedic surgeon, so it will be best for a good physical therapist to answer your question but you will have to visit personally to actually learn them initially, but main focus is on quadriceps and hamstring exercises, general rule is to avoid high impact exercises because they may worsen your symptoms and concentrate on daily brisk walks for 2-3 km in a day. This could be due to spasm of back muscles. Take a muscle relaxent and pain killer also start with pregabalin at bed time. Get xray done and show please.

I am 21 year old having problem rheumatoid arthritis. So having problem in right knee it gets stiff when place in same position for some time and feels difficulty in moving afterwards. 1- dashang lepa 50 gm + alsi-flax seed 50 gm, prepare a powder, take 10 gm prepare a paste in glycerin and apply two times morning and evening on rt. Knee joint, keep for one hour and later clean 2- - mahavishgarbha tail massage on painful joints twice in a day after removing lepa 3- dashmool kwath 10 ml + maharasna kwath 10 ml twice daily after food 4- triphala churna 5 gm at bed time with warm water may use knee cap-should not tight, take bit loose for support 5- may take ginger-adrak, mentha-pudina, dalchini tea instead of regular tea no curd, heavy food, cold beverages, do morning and evening walk and yogasana. Continue for 3 months, give feed back after every month.

Investigations advised - hb, tlc, dlc, esr, sugar f & pp, uric acid, vit d3 urine r/e x ray of the affected part. Anyway you may try- sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomentation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If no relief in 4_5 days, then inform again.
