Am suffering from PTSD is it curable please am very much mentally ill, my medication had already started I just want ...
PTSD is a disorder that develops in some people who have experienced a shocking, scary, or dangerous event. It is natural to feel afraid during and after a traumatic situation. Fear triggers many split-second changes in the body to help defend against danger or to avoid it. This “fight-or-flight” response is a typical reaction meant to protect a person from harm. Nearly everyone will experience a range of reactions after trauma, yet most people recover from initial symptoms naturally. Those who continue to experience problems may be diagnosed with PTSD. People who have PTSD may feel stressed or frightened even when they are not in danger. Flashbacks—reliving the trauma over and over, including physical symptoms like a racing heart or sweating Bad dreams Frightening thoughts Staying away from places, events, or objects that are reminders of the traumatic experience Avoiding thoughts or feelings related to the traumatic eventBeing easily startled Feeling tense or “on edge” Having difficulty sleeping Having angry outbursts Trouble remembering key features of the traumatic event Negative thoughts about oneself or the world Distorted feelings like guilt or blame Loss of interest in enjoyable activities For children the symptoms are different. Consult a psychiatrist and take treatment. All the best.

Yes counselling is needed start with home only, by asking question, kyu accha nahi lag raha, kahi ghumne jana hai ya koi school me problem to nahi ya bus se jata ho to vaha koi problem to nahi, ya uska esa koi dost ho jo use pasnd na karta ho ya vo dost use kuch bhi galat kam karne ka pressure daal raha ho, ya jane ke time school ke raste pe kuch esa ho use pasand na ho, ya padhai me kuch samjh nahi ata ho, so there is many question you have to ask one by one on different stages like while playing with him, watching tv, etc instead of at one time, Remember that the distraction prone child is struggling with feelings of inadequacy. It is of utmost importance that parents are empathetic with their frustrated children. These kids need extra doses of understanding and encouragement to stay motivated. You may say something like, "I realize you're frustrated about getting this done. How can we make some progress? Sometimes just hearing this will help distracted kids. Avoid yelling. Keep proactive and open communication with your child's teachers. So there is much more regarding distracting mind factor what he dislike or like or health related issue,

Early Warning Signs Of Schizophrenia

Masters In Clinical Psychology
Psychologist, Lucknow

Schizophrenia is a challenging disorder that often makes it difficult to distinguish between what is real and unreal, to think clearly, manage emotions, relate to others, and function normally. Suspecting that you or someone you love has schizophrenia can be a stressful and emotional experience. But that doesn't mean there isn't hope. Schizophrenia can be successfully managed. The first step is to recognize the signs and symptoms. The second step is to seek help without delay. With the right self-help, treatment, and support, you can learn to manage the disorder and lead a satisfying and fulfilling life.

The most common early warning signs include:

  1. Depression, social withdrawal
  2. Hostility or suspiciousness, extreme reaction to criticism
  3. Deterioration of personal hygiene
  4. Flat, expressionless gaze
  5. Inability to cry or express joy or inappropriate laughter or crying
  6. Oversleeping or insomnia; forgetful, unable to concentrate
  7. Odd or irrational statements; strange use of words or way of speaking

While these warning signs can result from a number of problems—not just schizophrenia—they are cause for concern. When out-of-the-ordinary behavior is causing problems in your life or the life of a loved one, seek medical advice. If schizophrenia or another mental problem is the cause, getting treatment early will help.

You should not take more than 2 peg a day for not more than 2 days a week. If you take alcohol as advised than it will not harm you. Always ear some snacks along with alcohol because having only alcohol increase the chance of low blood sugar.

I have an anxiety problem i. E I have a dream planned in front of me. But along the way I get de-motivated and finally lose interest in the beautiful dream. So I need to know the ways to sustain my interest and achieve my goals fruitfully.

Dear lybrate user, having a dream/goal is the first step towards success. Have a realistic goal. Then make a detailed systematic plan that will take you towards your goal. Take one small step at a time and set small targets, to start with. Pat your back once you achieve these small targets. Write down your dreams and your plan of action on a paper and stick at a place where you can see it daily. Find out the reasons for demotivation. Kindly remember that, there will be setbacks. Take these setbacks as challenges and try to find the best possible solutions. If you get bored, take a break, relax your body and mind. Then again start working towards your dream with double efforts. Please remember -" courage is the ability to continue, when you feel like quitting and choosing to smile when you feel like crying" have the courage, have faith in yourself, work harder and be consistent. Wish you good luck.
