Dear, Stress is simply a reaction to a stimulus that disturbs our physical or mental equilibrium. In other words, it's an omnipresent part of life. A stressful event can trigger the ?fight-or-flight? response, causing hormones such as adrenaline and cortisol to surge through the body. A little bit of stress, known as ?acute stress,? can be exciting?it keeps us active and alert. But long-term, or ?chronic stress,? can have detrimental effects on health. You may not be able to control the stressors in your world, but you can alter your reaction to them. I need to know, what are the causes with which you are stressed? Once you know the reason, you will be able to adjust with it with some tips and tricks. Please let me know the details. Take care.

Just talk to her face to face and try to sort out the differences-------apologise to her about your wrong doings and if she loves you, she will understand you-------------------a relation can grow only if it is pure and based on trust-

Your loss is completely understandable. However with any such stress in life we need to learn to cope up and moron gradually. However it's eels you have been unable to do so. If you remain anxious and depressed and feeling sad for your loss even after 1 year of that trauma, you certainly need help. I would suggest you to consult a psychiatrist without much hesitation.

Dear Lybrate user. I can understand. You will get a job according to your qualification. In getting a job if you see status or salary in the initial stages, you may not be satisfied at all. Secondly you should learn to like the job you are doing, instead of waiting for a job of your own liking. I suggest online motivation counseling. Take care.

I missed a single dose of an SSRI for OCD. Does that mean that my serotonin levels have decreased. And the treatment has to start again from the beginning. Was on fluvoxamine and sertraline. Skipped the morning dose by mistake. No side effects felt. So anyways does it affect my treatment.

MBBS, MD - Psychiatry
Psychiatrist, Mumbai
Missing one dose may not have an effect as the half life of these medications is quite long. However ensure that you take medication as prescribed on time so that you get relief from your symptoms. Keep a fixed time to take your medication, e.g. morning just after breakfast. Keep an alarm if you tend to forget. Compliance helps to achieve remission.

You might be under stress. Please check your hb and take iron supplements if necessary. Less libido may be because of not wanting to have sex. Mind and body work together. Probably you do not have desire to have sex. Try to find the reasons for this and then try to resolve it. Are there any other family issues bothering you? if so, that also can affect your libido. It is advisable to see a counsellor/sexologitst who will help you in understanding the reason for low libido and help you in leading a healthy sexual life. Remember that healthy sexual relationship is very important of a marriage.

Dear lybrate user. I can understand. Alcohol is poison. Alcohol can cause various liver disease and psychological problems. You need to quit alcohol. The best method is to use your will power. You can also use deaddiction therapy. I suggest online deaddiction therapy. Take care.
