There are so many reasons people get inked. For some, a tattoo is a form of expression for others, a reminder of incidents and people. Since a tattoo is permanent, it needs to be carefully thought about. Today, you may think having your girlfriend's name inked onto your skin is a way of declaring your love, but what if tomorrow, you break up. Ex-lover's name is probably the most common tattoos that people ask to be removed. Yes, tattoos can be removed, but it isn't as easy as it sounds.
What makes a tattoo permanent is the depth the ink permeates to. Unlike, writing on your skin with a pen, ink in a permanent tattoo is placed in the dermis. This layer of skin lies below the epidermis and cannot be easily accessed. Thus, using a cream or ointment will not help you remove a permanent tattoo. It may help bleach the pigment slightly, but will scar your skin, leaving the area looking worse than it was before. Using an acid to remove tattoos is also not advisable as this will scar the skin.
The only way to effectively remove a tattoo without scarring is with laser treatment. The laser penetrates the skin and breaks up the ink particles. This makes the body's immune system recognize the ink as alien elements and removes them through the lymphatic system. This leaves the rest of your skin undamaged. Laser treatment to remove a tattoo is not a one time procedure and may need to be repeated a number of times depending on the number of colours, size of tattoo and quality of ink used.
A single laser cannot be used to treat all the colours in your tattoo. Lasers of different wavelengths are used to remove different colours. Thus, more the number of colours in a tattoo, the longer it will take to be removed. In some cases, even with laser treatment, the tattoo cannot be completely removed and a shadow may remain. Fluorescent colours are the most difficult to remove. Contrary to popular belief, black and red pigments are the easiest to remove.
Laser treatment can also be used for any skin colour, though it may take a few extra sessions to remove tattoos from a dark skin. The location of your tattoos also plays a great role in determining how easy it will be to remove. The closer the tattoo is to your heart, the better the results.
In most cases, removing a tattoo takes 5-12 laser treatment sessions. This can take from 6 to 12 months as the dermatologist will probably ask you to wait a month between sittings. Each laser treatment session is expensive and hence, removing a tattoo is much more expensive than getting one.

Tea tree oil is a widely accepted dandruff treatment, particularly when the flakes are caused by fungus. It's an essential oil that you can purchase online, at pharmacies, or at health food stores, and mix into an unscented shampoo. Or you can find commercially prepared shampoos with tea tree oil already in them. In one Australian study, mixing a 5 percent tea tree oil solution into shampoo was found to effectively treat dandruff in almost half the participants.
2. Eucalyptus Oil
Another tree oil, eucalyptus oil, also has antifungal and antimicrobial properties. Like tea tree oil, it can be found online and at health food stores, and diluted in shampoos or rinses. A study conducted in India found that a solution containing eucalyptus oil and coconut oil had significant antidandruff effects, and recommended its future inclusion in cosmetic and pharmaceutical dandruff products.
3. Limit Use of Products
Shampoos, gels, hairsprays, and other hair care products can leave residue that build up overtime. These can not only leave flakes on the scalp, but can also irritate the scalp and cause dry skin or allergic reactions. Some people can reduce their dandruff symptoms by simply using fewer of these products. If the irritation is due to an allergic reaction, switching products may also be helpful.
4. Daily Washing and Brushing
It’s a common misconception that dandruff affects those who don’t take care of their skin and scalp, though a regular grooming routine can often reduce symptoms. Daily brushing can stimulate blood flow to the scalp, and daily washing can wash away the flakes. However, make sure your shampoo doesn’t aggravate the scalp. Choose a moisturizing formula for a dry scalp and a clarifying formula for an oily scalp.
5. Neem Oil
Neem oil is derived from the seed of the Azadirachta indica tree, native to India and parts of Asia. It's said to be good for dry and flaky scalps, so you can often find it in prepared shampoos sold for the treatment of dandruff. Like tea tree oil, it can also be diluted in shampoos, rinses, or carrier oils, and applied directly to the scalp.
Dandruff can be embarrassing, but you shouldn’t have to spend a fortune to treat it. You can often find simple solutions in your home or at a nearby neighborhood store, without having to see a doctor.

I have been facing chapped lips from past 3 years. Every morning when I wake up the lower portion of my lips gets cracked. Is there any ayurvedic treatment or allopathic work.
Don't squeeze or pinch the pimples. This will cause scars which are difficult to heal.
- Avoid oily, spicy or processed foods and carbonated beverages.
- When you apply any cream, sunscreen and the like, clean your face at the earliest, so that there will be no adverse action of the chemicals on the delicate skin of the face.
