Hi, you can think of having homoeopathic medicines which are very much safe to take without causing any harm to your body! heavy or prolonged menstrual bleeding, which is also called menorrhagia, can occur to any menstruating woman. It can also cause serious health problem such as iron-deficiency anemia. In order to stop heavy menstrual bleeding naturally, you can try different types of home remedies and making changes to your diet. Home remedies: -cinnamon, which you may use in cooking or baking, is also a well-known spice that may provide relief from heavy bleeding. Incorporate more cinnamon into your diet or take it alone to help calm the uterus and prevent heavy bleeding. Try mixing one cup of hot water with three teaspoon of powdered cinnamon and take it every thirty minutes during your menstrual cycle. -wash 2 cups of raspberry leaves and bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Strain and enjoy one cup up to three times a day. -placing an ice pack on your abdomen may reduce bleeding (no more than 20 minutes). It may also alleviate pain and swelling. -choose healthy and nutrient dense foods such as proteins including nuts, iron rich foods like dark green leafy vegetables, and dairy products like yogurt or cheese for calcium. Green beans contain high fiber and are enriched with vitamin b, which prevents abdominal cramps. Choose breads and grains that are fortified with iron, vitamin b, fiber and protein. Eat vegetables such as broccoli, kale, sweet potatoes, and spinach to help you get iron, calcium, and vitamin c. Eat fruits such as oranges and strawberries for vitamin c. Prunes and dried apricots are a good source of iron. Medication: take hamamelis q/ 10 drops in 1/2 cup of water every 2 hrly during the menses. And for rest of the days, take five phos. And alfaalfa tonic. Take them thrice daily for 4 weeks and revert me back. Even after taking these medication, if there is no relief in the sufferings, need to get an ultrasound (pelvis) done.

Vaginal Discharge -  When Should You Be Worried About It!

Vaginal discharge is a normal physiological phenomenon, in which the consistency of vaginal discharge varies throughout the cycle. Healthy vaginal discharge is clear or white in colour, with normal and non-offensive odour. Sometimes right before menstruation, your vaginal discharge may hold a brownish tinge.

The consistency of the discharge varies mostly on the hormonal changes in the body. When the levels of oestrogen are low, the cervical mucus that is liberated as discharge may be perceived as sticky and thick. When the oestrogen levels rise up, the discharge becomes wetter, more stretchy and clearer. Also, after ovulation, the consistency becomes thicker again.

When should you worry about the vaginal discharge?

  1. Greenish, greyish or absurdly brownish in colour
  2. When the discharge appears thicker than normal
  3. When the discharge is more than normal
  4. When it smells absurd like fishy or rotten meat like smell
  5. Pus like discharge
  6. White with cottage cheese like discharge
  7. When the discharge is associated with bloody discharge and burning sensation, rash or soreness.

Diseases caused by vaginal discharge

  1. Yeast Infection: The vaginal discharge is cottage cheese like and may be associated with itching of the vulva. This is also called as thrush. It can be treated easily with antifungal medications such as Fluconazole or Cotrimoxazole.
  2. Vaginitis: Yellowish offensive discharge, which may be profuse, associated with itching and abdominal pain.
  3. Trichomoniasis: This disease is asymptomatic in most cases and you may notice purulent discharge.

You may not be depressed right now but if you continue to sit at home, you might get depressed. Besides physical problems such as weight gain, joint problems can result. So go out, meet a few friends and relatives everyday. make sure you take at least a 30 minute brisk walk daily. Dont think about what has happened so far, focus on what can be done to get your dream job!

Are you eating well daily. Make sure you eat healthy food - Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. B. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. C. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. D. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. E. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. F. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. G. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain. Try to be patient while you are on the process of weight gain. Results take time to show. Just follow this regimen and you will soon start seeing the results.

Hello, your last date is 29-5-15 is it right? it's just 12 days from now, why are you worried? or date you posted is wrong? you mean to say 29-4-15? if that is the case confirm pregnancy by urine pregnancy kit in pharmacy, depending on that result further decisions can be take. Or directly go to lab and give sample for pregnancy test. Revert back with the results. If it is positive then consult gynecologist who will guide you for methods of termination of pregnancy, if it is negative then check if you have proper diet and heavy exercise, wait for another 7 days and even after that periods won't come re-do urine pregnancy test, if still negative then consult gyanecologist for further evaluation like sonography, hormonal studies etc. But first thing please confirm your last date of periods. Thanks.

2. Dear to decrease your weight you have to do work out daily. Try the remedies below they can help u. 1. Mix three teaspoons of lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey, and one-half teaspoon of black pepper powder in one glass of water. 2. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach. 3. Do this daily for at least three months. 4. Drink mint tea or make a paste of green mint with some simple spices and eat during meals. 5. Eat vegetables such as bitter gourd and drumsticks to control obesity. 6. Do bhujang asana, dhanurasana, naukasana, kumbhakasana, pavanamukthasana daily 10 min per asana. 7. Do running early morning daily and join aerobics in evening. 8. Avoid oily and fried foods, processed foods, fatty foods like butter, purified butter, cheese, whole-milk yogurt, cream, chocolate, etc. 9.Replace refined flour with whole-wheat flour and rice with brown rice or parboiled rice.

Dear lybrateuser, - Your problem could be due to acidity - have meals on time, do not skip meals, chew your food well, have 4-5 small meals rather than three large meals, have dinner 2-3 hrs before bedtime for proper digestion - take Syrup gelusil, 1 tablespoonful three times a day half an hour after meals - avoid fried, spicy & junk food, also sour foods, alcohol & smoking if you do.

Please note the following for your condition: • Avoid big meals late in the evening. You need three to four hours to digest a big meal. • Spicy or sugary food, even at suppertime, is usually a bad idea. Spices can irritate your stomach, and when it tosses and turns, so will you. Having a lot of sugary food—especially chocolate, which contains caffeine—can make you feel jumpy. • Try a soothing aromatic bath before bedtime. Add 5 drops lavender oil and 3 drops ylang-ylang oil to warm bathwater and enjoy a nice soak. For further queries get back to me.

Hello, You should have green leafy vegetables, fruits and protein rich food. Consume vitamin C-rich food by eating plenty of fruits like orange, lemon, sweet lime, grape fruit, and grapes. Eat wholegrain foods instead of processed, refined foods such as wheat flour (maida). Also, whole fruit instead of fruit juice will maintain insulin and blood sugar levels. Avoid cakes, pastries, junk food, colas, jams and pickles. Eat foods that are high in fiber as they will also cause a slower, more controlled rise in blood sugar and insulin levels. Incorporate legumes and vegetables in your diet as they’re high in fiber and nutrients and will manage your sugar levels. Combine protein and carbohydrates as protein helps to regulate the blood sugar spike caused by the carbs. Eat small, healthy meals more frequently to manage cravings and hunger pangs and NEVER miss breakfast! Corn, soy, cottonseed, and grapeseed oils should be avoided. Avoid soy products. Also avoid chemical preservatives, additives, artificial sweeteners and colorings. At last, you should consult a nutritionist for better guidance.

I am having frequent urination and feel thirst after urination. I can't tolerate hunger. My body starts shivering when hungry. I do breakfast at 10 am and after that I start feeling a bit lazy. I take lunch at 2: 30 pm and from that time till 8 pm I urinate about 7-8 times and start feeling weak by the evening. After every urination I feel thirst and I have to drink some water. Also my eyes start paining a bit by the evening. I got my blood test and urine test done empty stomach for sugar and the report was normal. please help.

You should do the Serum insulin levels.. as these are the typical symptoms of hyper insulinemia.. or there are other causes like hyperthyroidism... etc... Better do full body check up and find out the proper reason... And my advise is to consult for homoeopathic treatment wherever you feel comfortable... or through lybrate..
